Customer for life now! I read good reviews about OTTS and brought my vehicle in for an inspection on some suspension issues. I got the inspection done in the time they specified (not a minute over) and they gave me the quote. I scheduled for the service. A day before I was scheduled for service, I had a personal emergency and couldn't be left without a vehicle (one car household) for the service. I called to cancel and spoke with the owner. I made it clear that the mechanic had done some quick fixes to my car while he was inspecting it and I wanted to pay for his labor during that time. The owner actually said that he would pay his labor without charging me right then "because that's what a good employer does" and told me we would settle up when I came in for my service. Somehow he even made me feel better about needing to cancel the service for my personal emergency! I am super impressed by far and can't wait to take my car back to get its service done there, for this service and for all others in the future. They really care! read more

Took my 2002 Grand Prix to Old Town Tire and Service a few months ago. This car had some major work done (intake manifold & cylinder heads) by 'my other' mechanic in Escondido (Arturo's Car Repair) and Arturo did a fantastic job at an extremely fair price (I highly recommend Arturo as well). But this new problem seemed a lot like the old problem that Arturo repaired, so I was reluctant to take it anywhere in fear of getting ripped-off, unitl I read all the glowing reviews for Old Town Tire and Service. Took my car in and they diagnosed the problem rather quickly and had me out in a few hours. They ended up replacing my OEM spark plug wires. An inexpensive repair job that some other less-reputable repair shop may have taken advantage of. Keith treated me fairly, honestly and like an old friend. Keith at Old Town Tire was perfect! We just purchased a truck over the weekend and while getting it weighed for DMV registration the car wouldn't start back up. We were told it's a tire place a few doors down and walked in and met Keith. He offered to assist and a jump start. Immediately after he heard the click he diagnosed that it was the starter. Awesome!! I was taking my wife to Pechanga for a couple of nights getaway when our 1999 Explorer died just off the I-15 at Temecula Pkwy. AAA came to the rescue and recommended "Old Town Tire & Service, so off we went. Andrew met us at the shop and was very pleasant, professional and knowledgeable. He assured us that they would check it out first thing in the morning. AAA supplied us with a rental car, so we headed for our hotel room. Andrew called me the next morning and gave me the-diagnosis and estimate. I gave Andrew the go-ahead and went about our day. The crew at Old Town were very great to deal with. I want to give a testimonial that not only praises this business, but speaks to their integrity: Approximately 3 years ago I took my 2009 Ford Flex to Rancho Ford in Temecula for work that appeared to be under warranty. After much haggling about the nature of the problem and whether or not it was covered under warranty, I ended up paying out of pocket and having to pay for a rental car. On top of that, they tried to upsell me on brakes, saying that my front brakes were "almost gone", and the back ones could use replacing as well, quoting me almost $800 for the entire job. I was shocked and in disbelief since I had only had the car for less than a year. I decided to wait and get a second opinion. This past July I took the car to Keith at Old Town to get front tires replaced and to have the brakes inspected, thinking surely that they must be "critical" at this point, since I waited so long. He replaced the tires and said that my back brakes were "fine" and the front had a little bit of time before needing to be replaced, perhaps by the time my next oil change was needed. I'm happy to report that just today, 3 years after being quoted an outrageous brake job by Rancho Ford Service Dept., I just now got the front brakes changed and an oil change. They even took me to work and picked me up. The price for parts and labor was fair. They are very deserving of all of the positive reviews and I appreciate that there are shops like this that aren't out to upsell and use scare tactics to make a buck. I had a great experience with old town tire. I brought in a 14 ft box truck I had bought that had been sitting around for 3 years. I asked if they could put new tires on it, change the oil and anti-freeze. When I picked up the truck they did all of the above and at no cost to me, checked the differential oil and serviced it and the battery light kept coming on so they metered it and told me what the problem might be. These guys went above and beyond what I asked them to do not for the money (b/c they didn't charge me any extra) but, in my opinion, they actually care for their customers well being. These guys are great! I will go out of my way to use their services if I need any repairs or service on any of my cars. Oh, and their price was better than the others I got quotes on. read more

I chose this place based on the reviews, and I wasn't disappointed. I brought one of my trucks here for a check engine light, and intermittent manual shifting problem. Despite telling them they could take their time, they called me the next day with updates. The check engine light was a dirty maf sensor, which they cleaned up rather than replace, saving me money. Two of the guys drove the truck and thoroughly checked out the shifting issue and concluded I should take it to a transmission shop. Overall, my experience here is that they are friendly, prompt, honest and affordable. I own more than average numbers of vehicles (eight at present), and will be bringing my miscellaneous vehicle issues here in the future. read more
