Visited for Mother's Day. Place was packed and we were pleasantly surprised when the host stated a 15-20 minute wait. Very relaxed environment and we were seated within the time stated. My wife and I decided to try something new. My wife ordered the Wild Mushroom Ravioli and I ordered the Vermicelli con Pollo. Wow! Both were awesome! Our server was great and very attentive. Pro's: Food is amazing! Well prepared. Friendly waitress. Busy! So plan accordingly. Con's: The waitress was busting her behind - she's 5 stars and they were short staffed. Got it. Why three stars? Because the rest of the staff, 3-4 persons (hostesses) were standing around doing nothing. At least several tables and booths with dirty dishes just sitting there. Strong suggestion: PUT THE HOSTESSES TO WORK as bus boys/girls instead of just staring at their phones. They can clean booths & tables too. My family has been here twice in order to try this place again bc it wasn't 4-5 stars in the past. The lunch was great a few weeks ago.... I had the Italian flag, my husband had the spaghetti, I think. I guess lunch is the time to eat here. On the second trip, it was evening time. My Italian flag steak was covered in char grill residue - inedible. We had our two daughters with us and ordered an extra side of Alfredo which was like a bowl of mayonnaise. The mushroom ravioli was very bad -"disgusting " my daughter said. I agreed. My husband's prime rib was not good either. The service was offered, "let us know if we can get you anything....etc...", but not delivered. Nothing we asked for came out in a timely manner. We were not offered dessert. Really poor service. The salad , Italian, Caesar, or plain, is ALWAYS water logged, wilted, brown and inedible. Please stop serving wet, brown grocery store lettuce mix. read more

First off, there was an older lady who checks people in, just inside the door, that has a disposition, not fit for that role. Next, Food needs to be "hot", when it arrives at the table. Our waitress was covering too many tables. She did accommodate, as she got time, but Mine was cold. I ask if she could nuke it in the microwave, and she forgot about it. I had to remind her 10 min later. It arrived back cold. I had to flag her down again. She ask if she could remake. I said no thanks. The table was halfway thru eating and they would have been done by the time she got back, so ordered creme brûlée. A local family oriented italian restaurant, excellent service! Shout out to Candice. This restaurant is busy but she makes sure that she checks on us. My co-worker was surprised when the bill came, considering we ordered 2 full meals with drinks, it was reasonable!!! The food is good. My coworker even said, "I'm full already but i can't stop eating cuz it's really good. This is the best meal this whole week that we're here!" I agree, it's really good! When we we arrived we asked to be seated in the very back corner where it is quiet because it was a business meeting. Back seating was not available so they sat us near a window. Knowing that we rquested a quiet table they pulled together 3 tables right next to us and sat a party of 15. A mix of adults and kids, very loud, a birthday party, everyone brought presents. They told us it was not a birthday party...When we asked for the table in the back that was now empty, the woman manager refused. After we explained that we drove 1 hour to have our meeting there, she still refused to let us move. SHAME on that woman manager with short gray hair. She does not have any customer service or problem solving skills. Instead of moving us 4 tables down where we originally asked to be seated, she bowed up and still refused to let us move. We paid for 2 salads and 2 drinks that we had, got up and left. This manager not only took a tip away from our waitress, she lost a good customer. Extremely disappointing experience at Old Town Spaghetti Store for my birthday. I've been here many times, but after this visit, I will never go back. We arrived at 3:00 PM after an hour-long drive with a party of 11. We were quoted a 25-30 minute wait. For the next half hour, we watched smaller parties walk in and get seated immediately while multiple empty tables sat open--tables that could have easily been pushed together for us. After 30 minutes, we were told it would be another 20-minute wait. I worked as a server for years, so I understand how restaurants operate, but this was poorly managed. Since they do not take reservations, I asked to speak to the manager to calmly suggest implementing a reservation system for larger groups. I was not loud or rude, but the manager continually cut me off and spoke down to me. We left without eating. If you have a group larger than 4-6 people, take your business elsewhere. read more

We went to old town spaghetti store the place seem nice. It was clean. Had a nice atmosphere. Great casual easy-going. All the employees seem to be nice and dressed and smiling and happy our server was excellent. She did a great job. I ordered spaghetti with meatballs and meat sauce. Unfortunately, my spaghetti had water in the plate and it made the sauce runny we also had cocktails that were excellent, but the food was just OK. One of our favorite places until tonight...hostess stand was rude and incompetent. Manager had to be up there for it to run smoothly. Checked in with a party of 5, was asked if we were all there. We replied yes and we were told it would be about 30 minutes. No problem, we moved to the side and husbands stepped outside because restaurant lobby was loud and crowded. We watched as everyone was seated knowing we had to be next. Another party of 5 came in and was seated immediately so I inquired as to why we had not been seated. I was told because we were not all there to which I answered yes and we have been the whole time. Her answer, "Well, you are not all inside!" What? She had no way of knowing if the rest of our party (2) was in the restroom or around the corner plus she had asked me when we checked in!! I asked to speak to the manager who defended the employee and instead of apologizing and seating us, told us to wait a few minutes and we would be seated. After over 40 years of being a loyal customer I'm done, Birthday lunch today was horrible, parts of the sales was frozen , cucumbers was the worst, I had a 14 oz prime rib tough I could hardly cut with the knife, I brought home so I could weigh the fat that was un eatable. The Un eatable fat weights 5.25 oz when I brought these things to the servers attention she acted like she could care less. I ask her to let the cook / management see hou tough it was she said ok and came back with my $91.00 bill for 2. Now I've been in the restaurant food sales service business for 34 years and as the old saying goes, good ain't cheap and cheap ain't good. We've been going here for years. It's family owned and operated and you can tell in the taste of the food. It tastes better and it's more authentic than chain Italian restaurants. We especially enjoy eating lunch during the work week. The service is fast and the food hasn't ever let us down. So I had an ok experience here. It wasn't awful, it wasn't great, it was simply ok. I am a big grilled chicken fettuccine Alfredo person. The lunch menu only offered a Cajun version for $9.99. I asked if I could just just get a regular version. And was accommodated. It didn't wow me as the alfredo sauce was watered down. The chicken was nicely grilled and the noodles were cooked appropriately. I ordered a lemonade that came out off colored and tasted as if it has soda in it. Switched to water. The biggest shock of the visit was when my bill came and it was $16. I inquired as to why a meal without the extra spices to make it Cajun was so much more and the waitress notified me that the meal I was served was a full portion of fettuccine with grilled chicken. And the grilled chicken is of different quality than the Cajun chicken. Which is how it was over $5 more. Lesson learned. She did offer to change the bill but Since I was served something that apparently was more, I didn't want to cause an issue of it. The waitress was great though and was very attentive. read more

They have a pasta special where you can pick your pasta and 2 sauces (the garlic cream is super delicious but there 12 sauces to choose from) for $10.99 that comes with bread and butter / garlic butter. If you go there on a Monday, it includes your choice of soup or salad - plus spumoni for dessert - and all for $9.99. They have a lot more than pasta, though. Mom loves the chicken parmesan sandwich (huge portion - we had to cut it into 4 pieces for her). And you can get a glass of a decent house wine during happy hour for only $3. Occasionally it will come out cold, and times when I've brought it to attention or asked for a new item, the attitude back is always sour. Old Town Spaghetti usually gets 5 stars in my book except for last Wednesday when we went my granddaughter found a long black hair in her baked spaghetti. Although the manager apologized and brought her out a fresh plate we were still charged for our food and had basically lost our appetites as would anyone. It will be hard to go back without the thought of that long hair in our food. You'd think restaurants would use hairnets and take better care to make sure hair in food doesn't happen and at the very least not charge for that meal. I feel queezie just writing about it. read more
