Not a bad place, the food was okay and they had a decent variety of dishes available. I was kind of expecting it to be a bit better ingredient wise, but it was sort of standard and not as fresh as I would have hoped. Basically good dishes made with lower quality ingredients, so it didn't work out so well on some dishes. That being said it was pretty good and I might stop in again sometime, just wasn't anything special as far as local places go. read more

I like this place. When I'm in town visiting family I always try to go to the Spaghetti Store for their alfredo pasta. They have cute little bottles of Prosecco for only $7.00. The staff is always super friendly and professional despite the fact that the owner is a notorious swine. They have a nice lunch menu and a cozy dark bar. The italian salad dressing is also very tasty. ; ) read more

My husband and I just waited 45 minutes for a table only to be told by a teenager that they were going to have to shut down for the night and could not take any more dinner orders because their system was down. What? No pens? The manager could not figure out how to run a restaurant without a computer. I did ask and yes the oven was working. So not going back to such a poorly run establishment. read more

Excellent service, excellent food , really great price! After a looooong day driving, our hotel staff person recommended Old Town, and I'm so glad she did! Worst experience. Ordered prime rib with baked potato and salad. Asked for sour cream and butter for potato and steak well done. Baked potato look like baby spud over cooked in microwave. Steak was rare instead of well done. Called manager and was told to bring back which would have been 25 miles 3 days later. I don't think going back would be worth my while. We wanted to like it here. Really we did. But ended up having one of the worst customer service experiences of our lives. We entered the evening, using a SnagMob deal Old Town was offering. Immediately after being seated, we checked with our wait staff to make sure she knew we had the coupon that was pulled up on our mobile phone screen and were planning to use it. She cheerfully said, 'Of course! yes. We will honor this. I will use it at the end when your check comes." We order. We eat. (The food was average. Decent Italian for Jackson, but nothing you can't find at Olive Garden...if you want more unique Italian, go across the street to Bessos). When we are 2/3 the way done with our entrees, the wait staff returns to our table and informs us she cannot honor the coupon, unless we provide a printed copy of the coupon. Clearly, we did not have a printed copy, and were very surprised to find out we needed one. We therefore, politely asked if we could email our coupon to them, or even borrow their printer to print it out. She wasn't sure if this was possible, and got the shift manager. (The wait staff was extremely pleasant, and acknowledged she made an honest mistake). This is where things got bad. The manager was extremely unwilling to help. He rejected our solution of emailing them the coupon or them printing it off for us. He refused to compromise. He refused to acknowledge that their staff had approved and confirmed we could use the coupon before we had ordered our meal that evening. He refused to offer any solution We stayed calm, but were very frustrated with his unwillingness to come to a solution. He very rudely said, "What's the matter guys. You don't have enough money to pay for this meal? You can't just pay for your whole meal this time and use the coupon next time?" We were shocked at how accusatory he was. Eventually, we were forced to pay (with cash) for the whole meal, go find a printer outside of the restaurant (we had to pay $3 to print the coupon at FedEx), and return the same evening for them to validate it. Overall, the experience was completely unprofessional and rude. We will never be returning to the establishment and will discourage others to do the same. read more

Sorry but this was one of the more awful places I've eaten at in my years on the road...soup was icky and my partner's salad apparently wasn't any better, the pasta was mushy and overcooked, and yuck overall. The service was great - very very friendly and polite and attentive, but I still wouldn't want to come back here and give it another whirl when I'm back in town. I can't give them 3 stars for that, but if you're into service and don't care about your food, or like really mediocre, bland Italian, this is the place for you! read more

Second time to stop here. Wanted to give it a second try. Still not impressed. The fried zucchini was ok but a little greasy. I ordered a salad. Do you charge extra for tomatoes and cheese? Last time I was here they charged me a $1 up charge. I had the cheese toasted ravioli. It was good but WAY to salty. My husband had the lasagne. Said it was great for Stouffers and that my homemade was so much better. Thanks sweetie!!! Anyway, you take your chances when coming here. Bread with the garlic butter was good. read more

I don't hate this place, but I don't love it either. The pasta is regularly mushy and over cooked, and if you've ever lived in a town with good Italian, you realize this is an Americanized imitation. The red and white sauces are just okay. Prices here are pretty good. They used to have great prices at happy hour on well drinks. Alas, the generous portions and great prices on them are gone. I'm still not sure why. I can put up with a lot with a good drink at a great price. The service has always been good and the bread at the beginning of the meal has always been tasty. The patio is super nice. My kids like this place, and they have reasonably priced kids meals. I would like to enjoy this place, but I frequently ask myself why I bother. read more

I use to like coming to Old Town Spaghetti Store. But let me tell you three attempts to go there and either sit down to eat or take out because of a delicious ad we saw on tv only to get there to order and constantly get the phrase, "I am sorry we are out of that". We will not be gracing those doors again. What interaction we had with the employees was not pleasant and one time the hostess looked at us and totally ignored us. We are traveling from NC to Oklahoma. Stopped in Jackson for the night. Went to a highly (Yelp) recommended Mexican place. Just as we were served chips & salsa the electricity went out. It was so hot when we walked in we decided to leave & not wait for electricity to come back on. Right down the road was Old Town Spaghetti. First plus when we walked in.... it was cool!!! Gave our name to hostess. She said a 15 minute wait but we didn't wait more than 5 minutes. Debbie was our waitress & she was great! Hot bread & butter was delicious! I had blue cheese dressing on my salad.... wonderful!! I did upgrade my dinner salad for$3.... not worth the charge. I had baked spaghetti & it was wonderful! My husband had chicken Kabobs. Very good as well. Our daughter had chicken florentine. She said it was good but too much spinach. If in Jackson again we would definitely go back!! read more

I've eaten here numerous times over the years, but decided to finally post a review. Rudeness has always been a staple of the staff here, especially with the hosts and management. You can find more than a few servers that are beyond nice to deal with, though. After all, they work for tips. The food is rarely above average on good days and is usually just overpriced frozen fare. It's an ok alternative to that chain Italian place on Vann Dr, but only if you're just craving this type cuisine. Prepare yourself for rude staff and an absolutely unwillingness to substitute anything for any reason. read more

Went at 5PM Friday, 12/28/18. It took a long time to get the food we ordered, other people that came after us was finishing their meals before we got ours. Wasn't that many people there. Finally got our waitress and ask if we had made someone angry. She said no, it was just that our order was different and was taking a little longer, we both had ordered their special of Prime roast. The Spaghetti Store has been a favorite of mine since I was quite young. Service is always very prompt and cheerful, and the food is good quality, standard Italian style fare. My only real gripe with the place is that the menu doesn't seem to have changed significantly in a good twenty years. They do what they do well, probably because they have lots of practice. Ultimately, this is only an issue if you become a regular customer, and even then you can just do as I do and find something you really like to eat every time. The prime rib, by the way, is fantastic and very reasonably priced. read more

Old Town Spaghetti Store's loss was O'Charley's gain tonite!! We walked in and were greeted kindly at the door. We sat down for at least 10 minutes and were totally ignored. We got up, walked out and went to O'Charley's where were greeted and promptly waited on and served by Ashlynne who treated our family the same as the White customers. Just had dinner at a local restaurant, The Spaghetti Store. The atmosphere was charming and food was wonderful. My husband had whole wheat pasta with mushroom sauce, steamed veggies, and a cup of minestrone soup. I had a 1/2 order of eggplant parmesan with 1/2 angel hair pasta and salad. There was so much food that neither of us could finish our meals. Would definitely visit this restaurant when we travel home. read more
