Old Town Spaghetti Store's loss was O'Charley's gain tonite!! We walked in and were greeted kindly at the door. We sat down for at least 10 minutes and were totally ignored. We got up, walked out and went to O'Charley's where were greeted and promptly waited on and served by Ashlynne who treated our family the same as the White customers. Just had dinner at a local restaurant, The Spaghetti Store. The atmosphere was charming and food was wonderful. My husband had whole wheat pasta with mushroom sauce, steamed veggies, and a cup of minestrone soup. I had a 1/2 order of eggplant parmesan with 1/2 angel hair pasta and salad. There was so much food that neither of us could finish our meals. Would definitely visit this restaurant when we travel home. read more

We had 7 in our party Saturday night, July 30, 2016. Our waiter was nice and recommended the special, gumbo. It was just ok. The food is very expensive and I was never offered a copy of the bill. I will not go back!!!! read more

Had a Valentine's dinner today at Old Town Spaghetti Store. Atmosphere was good. Lasagna and veal parmesan was ok. Very disappointed in the cannoli as it was obvious it was made ahead of time and was soggy through and through. Cannolis should be made fresh. read more

One of our favorite places in town. So much better than Olive Garden. Excellent bread, entrees are always delicious, price is reasonable.

Previously, Old Town Spaghetti Store was a pretty decent place to get reasonably priced, OK Italian food. However, they have recently updated their menu, increasing prices and changing menu items. In the past, the side salad that came with meals was a small salad with croutons, cheese, onions, tomatoes, etc. With the new menu, the side salad is literally a bowl of the kind of iceberg lettuce/purple cabbage/carrot blend that comes pre-washed in a bag from the grocery store, with NOTHING on it. When we asked about the salad, our server told us that with the new menu, you now have to pay extra to get toppings on your salad. Which is, to say the least, ridiculous, and a very bad business move. read more

Great non chain Italian place to stop in Jackson. It has that Classic Italian atmosphere and friendly great service. The food is priced accurately for the quality of food. Everything we had was good. I had the chicken piccata which was good but too much butter sauce. I would recommend them to go light on the sauce. My friend had the spinach chicken florentine and thought it was good. Huge portion recommend splitting it for sure! Bread is hot and delicious and they have a nice garlic butter and regular butter both good. We had chocolate crunch pie which is awesome and fabulous for sure we highly recommend it is hot and gooey and big dip of icecream! Yummy! read more

I haven't been here since college but it was my favorite back then. I remember their backed spaghetti was great plus the breadsticks!

My husband and I LOVE Old Town Spaghetti Store. I have tried many of the dishes at the spaghetti store but my absolute favorite is the Chicken Piccata with mashed potatoes. I'm picky with my lemon dishes but this one is just perfect! I also love going here because it is one of the few places in Jackson that has gluten free pasta. For appetizers, I always have to get either the fried zucchini or the ultimate combo. Fried zucchini is my absolute favorite however. For desert, their creme brulee is the best I have had and they have wonderful cheesecake! They do have a small up-charge for their salads but you get a lot with it and they are some of the freshest tasting salads you can find in Jackson. Service wise, I have always gotten wonderful service. I highly recommend the Old Town Spaghetti Store for a nice, decent priced, sit down meal. read more

My husband and I ate lunch here today. It was awesome! He ordered the Meatball Sub with fries. Plate full of a sandwich bursting with meatballs and the best sauce. He's a picky eater, so I know it was delicious. I ordered the Baked Ziti with a house salad. It was perfectly cooked and seasoned with plenty to take home to enjoy for another meal. Chicken Parmesan was fantastic. This is one of their most popular dishes and I can see why. I had a side of lasagna which was only about average. Service was good and overall the restaurant had a nice atmosphere. read more

We lived in Jackson for over a decade, and this was our favorite place to eat. When we moved, my husband even tried to see if he could get the meat sauce recipe...but alas, the meat sauce is very, very different now. My daughter had flown in from California for a wedding this past weekend, and I drove 5 hours to meet her and her fiancé in Jackson. On Sunday, they had to rush to get to Nashville to catch a plane, but we were at Old Town Spaghetti Store when it opened at 11:00 am so we could share this place that we had loved with her fiancé, and so that we could enjoy a meal there. Well.....we both love the Parmesan Peppercorn dressing, but upon trying to order it, the waiter said that they were out. I also like the Country Salad, and ordered that, but he returned to the table to tell me they were also out of that salad, and out of the cucumber dressing that I had opted for since my favorite was not available. My daughter wanted broccoli added to her pasta, and he said they were out, but they later "found some," which was a bit shady. The bread was hard and nothing like the loaves we remember from past years, and her fiancé could not even eat his Ziti with meat sauce (which was more like canned tomato sauce.) We mentioned a cake that they used to have, but of course, that is no longer available. I had opted not to even get a salad since the type that I wanted and the two dressings I had selected were not available. (And we arrived at opening on a Sunday, not at the close of a busy night.) I asked if I could just get my entree and have a bit taken off of the price since I didn't care for Minestrone soup (the other side option.) They generously deducted $1.00 from our bill of 44.79. It was such a sad experience. We had only one meal together in Jackson, and opted for a place we had loved in the past, and found that it was out of some favorites, and that the meat sauce was nothing like it had been when we moved away in 2008. I don't know if the owner is perhaps less involved, or if we just hit a really terrible day, but it was VERY disappointing. read more
