Wow! Best breakfast in town. There was a bit of a wait to get in, but it was worth it! The pancakes are enormous! My family of four couldn't finish off the one (1) that we ordered! The breakfast sandwiches were the best that I've had in a long time, and the hash Browns were awesome. The wait staff was friendly and fast. The decor was cool--Harley Davidson stuff all over. Delish! We've been going to Red River for many many years and for some reason visited Old Tymer's for breakfast for the first time this year. It was so good - they have all the breakfast diner staples plus some New Mexico dishes as well. Pro tip - if ordering of of the NM dishes, order it Christmas style, a blend of their green & red chili sauces. They serve lunch & dinner as well. We will try that next year. We have been eating at OT for many years and have enjoyed good food and reasonable service. Unfortunately they have fallen off the path when it comes to service. On each of our last two visits we waited over an hour after placing our orders for our food to come out of the kitchen. Extremely unimpressed with this business. The employees were extraordinarily rude. My party and I ended up walking out due to the way we were being treated. They INSISTED RUDLEY that we put on our masks (even though we were half outside). We were more than happy to wear our masks and put them on. But we then look up a minute later and see that one of those same waitresses wasn't even wearing hers and the other one had it pulled below her nose. The rest of the service was awful. Go elsewhere. This was quite possibly the worst food in Red River. The chicken fried steak was like trying to eat leather. Judging by the look on the servers face, she definitely wanted to be anywhere else but there. We sat outside because we were told the wait would be at least 30 minutes. 20 minutes later they called our name, we walked in, and there were only two tables with people sitting down. My sister ordered the breakfast croissant and it came with a huge slice of ham. Everyone was very satisfied with what they ordered. They have nice staff and I LOVED their bacon because it was cooked just right and had the right thickness. Highly recommend! Rarely have a left a restaurant angry. We arrived to a wait time of 45 minutes where the teenage host cared little for seating us despite saying our table is ready. Our waitress seem to be the only person there that was over the age of 21 and while she served us drinks regularly she'd forget my drink order halfway from the table to refilling it (repeatedly). We ordered the pizza and waited for over an hour. While my gf liked the pizza I thought it was okay at best. After over 2 hours we were looking to get out of there but the waitress wouldn't ever come by again. So we went to the host to get our check and he asked our waitress (who immediately forgot the request) while he answered the phone from one of his buddies. About 10 mins later we finally got the check making the visit more than 2 hours of agony. I won't be coming again. read more

My wife and I had breakfast on Friday 6-25-2018 at 8 am and the breakfast was horrible ! Cold hash brown potatoes burned and a cold ham and cheese omelet that had very little cheese and ham but was also over cooked . She never came to check on us after the food was delivered. The food was good all except for the hash browns which were burnt pretty bad. We waited 5 mins to get on any sort of wait list, another 20 mins to be seated and we found several empty tables once we were... Yet the waiting room was PACKED. Odd. Waitress treated us as if we were an inconvenience.... That's just great. Coffee got cold before we were asked for refills. Waitress did not warn me that the blueberry pancake I ordered for my 5 year old was the size of a hubcap. Maybe something a little more down to earth for the rest of us to enjoy, hm? Extremely disappointed in the service. My family went today and ordered pizza, calzone and oakra. It took over 1.5 hours for our order. However, the cook forgot a calzone and it was too burnt. Instead of waiting another 1.5 hours we asked to speak to the manager Morgan. The waitstaff was better at responding to the mishap than the manager. The manager Morgan provided 10% off. While my brother-in-law was checking out she rudely said just pay the $2.00 (10%) The $2.00 was not the issue it was that our party of 10 waited over an hour for pizza, oakra and two calzones. Then they forgot one calzone. The offer was 10% off the check which was great, but the managers attitude towards us was horrific and did not make the wrong right. Try waiting 1.5 hours with four kids for pizza. Ridiculous! Next time don't waste your time go to Capos or Anchovies for pizza. Poor management and customer service. read more
