If you're looking for a fun time with great food and live music on I-Drive then this is a good place to check out. There is no self parking at or near the restaurant but they do offer free complimentary valet (tips are expected) and it's a very short walk to the restaurant. The wait time to sit down was pretty long but it was to be expected since it was a Friday night during Spring Break. While we waited we were able to watch/ listen to the live music and dance on the dance floor so that helped kill the time. I would have to say I was very disappointed with the service. The host was very friendly but everyone else from the bartender to our server was not friendly. The only good thing about our service was everything arrived in a timely manner. For starters we ordered the Redneck Nachos. They had a lot of flavor and plenty of toppings so each bite was delicious. For entrees we got the Honey Bee Hot Chicken and Waffles, Hell Right N.Y. Strip and Oklahoma Onion Burger. If you love sweet, savory and a hint of spicy I highly recommend the Honey Bee Hot Chicken and Waffles. It was honestly one of the best dishes I've had in a very long time and I would go back just to have it again. The chicken was perfectly crispy and flavorful and the inside was juicy. The Belgian waffles had a slight crunch on the outside and fluffy and soft on the inside. The Nashville Honey gave a slight kick of heat but nothing too spicy and the Bourbon Maple Syrup added another layer of sweetness and flavor. If you love blue cheese I recommend the Hell Right N.Y. Strip. The strip is seasoned and cooked perfectly and the blue cheese crust adds a strong earthy taste that pairs well with steak. The Oklahoma Onion Burger is a good choice as well. It was juicy and flavorful and is exactly what you expect when eating a burger. For a side we got the Brisket Mac and Cheese. The brisket and mac and cheese didn't have much flavor. Everything else we tried had loads of flavor so this side was disappointing. I would skip it next time. read more

I was here a few months back for the Dine & Play @ ICON Park Orlando. The music and vibe was great so I was excited to go back. Checked in with the hostess they don't provide a wait time just the number of parties ahead of you (no big deal). So we waited about 15 mins for our table. We were seated between the bar and the stage it was a great location HOWEVER the patrons who are standing around the bar area to see the band are standing directly near our table. So between that and people leaving it was a VERY area. I couldn't tell you how many times the people standing bumped my chair but I didn't ask to be moved because the place was very busy plus I was hungry. Frank was our server he was very nice and offered suggestions when ask. I ordered the Bluetick Burger with bacon and a cherry limeade. Food runner brought out the wrong order (my picture is the wrong burger). The burger was ok needed mayonnaise (should of asked) the tots were ok. The band that was playing they were good. Hubs did much of the brickwork on this building and he wanted to show me. So we stopped in for a drink on a Saturday afternoon at the beginning of December. Though I'd driven by before construction was completed, this was our first opportunity to visit Ole Red & enjoy some live music. Parking was easy in the nearby garage, though we had a few minutes' walk to Ole Red. Since they weren't busy, we had no wait, though we initially planned to enjoy our drinks at the bar & not dirty a table. But the bar was crowded enough that we couldn't even find a standing spot & all the seats were occupied. So we ended up sitting at a table, even though we only wanted to order a drink apiece & no food. As it was early afternoon, some of the dining areas weren't open yet, and we had to take what was available. Unfortunately, all of the open tables were right in front of the stage, which felt awkward, and also rather loud. I thought the live band was great, but I didn't need to be that close. Drinks weren't cheap but we exoected that for I-Drive. Somehow, hubs ended up with a souvenir shot glass that he didnt think he ordered, but we certainly paid for it. And because we were so close to the stage, I couldn't hear what he ordered. Regardless, now hubs has a memento of our visit here. read more

My friends were there last night for a drink after a 10 hour flight. They were at the bar when a woman pushed her way in to get a drink. She then turned and started to scream and swear at our friend to stop being in "her space" etc... it almost became a brawl. The manager did nothing!!! We never experienced anything like this here in Orlando. The woman was not asked to leave. My friends paid but never got to drink their drinks. When he went back to the manager the next day discussing what happened he fluffed it off. THIS IS UNACCEPTABLE IN OUR CITY!! Great experience! Ole Red is the famous country singer Blake Sheltons take on BBQ, soul and comfort food all blended with craft beer and live country music. This was a must stop while I was in the area at Orange County convention center. I went a little early around 5pm which guaranteed me a front row spot for the live music which was playing already by a awesome band. Our server said these are up-and-coming bands/artist and they have live music every day. My party had the ribs, burger and chicken sandwhich. All were generous portions, flavorful, and cooked, right. Before leaving Orlando, decided to head to International Dr and Icon park for lunch. Parking at Icon Park (8351 international dr) is free, easy walk to Blake Sheltons restaurant "Ole Red". The most amazing "guy with a guitar" and food was very good. Music was just loud enough to be enjoyable, not so loud that you couldn't have a conversation with those at your table. Y'all I am from Indiana and before we got here I though it was Ole' Red. I thought it was a taco place. It IS NOT. It's Ol' Red but spelled Ole. After looking this up in the dictionary (yes I did girl, yes I did) that's what the dictionary says but my family is from KY so we say Ol' dog or Ol' lady. Anyways, my bad for not being up on Floridian I guess. Ole Red is fine if you're looking for a place with live entertainment and a cool bar. I can't speak for the drinks because I didn't partake. The food was okay. It's satisfactory bar food. Not great but not terrible. I got the red neck nachos and they were loaded but not very flavorful. Passing through Orlando and we came across Ole Red. From the minute we arrived to when we left we had a fantastic time. Walked right in and found two seats at the bar in front of the stage and dance floor. The music was great, we had three friendly bartenders who stood their ground with respect when they had to cut off another guests. We didn't eat here but the food we did see looked great. There are two floors and the second floor has the complimentary mechanical bull, a lot of fun to be had, just don't drink too much prior to. Parking was easy and complementary in the structure nearby. There is plenty to do in this area and makes for a great night out. We highly recommend visiting Ole Red. Cheers! read more

We've come by here before but it was right when they reopened during the pandemic and it was reservation only. We heard the live music and it seemed like a great ambiance. We knew we wanted to try it on our next trip. This time around they don't take reservations at all. We walked in on a Saturday at 8 and we were I think #13 on the waitlist for a party of 2. We waited about 45 minutes for a table. It can be tricky though because they don't have a time limit for tables so some people hang out ordering drinks and enjoy the live music. They text you when the table is ready so you have some freedom to roam a bit while waiting. We hung by the bar and ordered a drink and enjoyed the music while waiting. I found the food to be pretty good. My sandwich could've used a bit more bbq sauce. My boyfriend's turkey shoot burger was not something he really enjoyed. He said he wouldn't order that again. This place is really just great for it's ambiance. All great vibes - the crowd was super interactive. There is a dance floor that people were taking advantage of. My biggest downfall is the service but I do understand that the restaurant is in a touristy area and it gets busy. I can't knock the waitress because I don't think it was genuinely bad service I just think that she was super busy. I would certainly return here for appetizers and drinks. I decided to visit on a Friday evening. Since Ole Red doesn't take reservations, I took a risk and went inside around 7:30 in the evening. There was some crowd, but I did see some empty tables. And indeed, I got very lucky and was seated immediately at one of the tables downstairs. The drink prices looked quite expensive, even with the "keep the glass/mug" gimmick, so I settled with a mocktail that had Sierra Mist, Ginger ale, and peach puree for 7 dollars. It was served in a disposable plastic cup, and was quite a sugary drink. But I did enjoy the peach puree at the bottom, which provided the fruity flavor. For my entree, I took the pulled pork sandwich with tater tots (16 dollars). It came at a reasonable time, but the food reminded me of Sonny's BBQ. Nothing outstanding or great, but it was above average with a good amount of pork. Unfortunately, the pork was a bit dry, and lacked flavor. The BBQ sauce helped. The slaw inside the sandwich was ok, but I didn't care for the bread, so I took it out and just ate what was inside. The pickles and tots on the side farm much better. The pickle had a nice sweet flavor and was crisp, and the tots had a good amount of potatoes. The food tasted very rich and filling, even when the portions looked on the smaller size. I can indeed taste the calories and fat. For dessert, I settled with the banana pudding (5 dollars), which was good, but didn't care for the whipped cream or wafer on top. I would say the pudding was on par or a bit better than Publix. The service was friendly and relatively quick. My server was quite sweet and helpful, but I found the security staff to just be nonchalant. They could smile more, but they were not rude. The main gimmick of this restaurant is the live music and it was entertaining. The music was mostly country, and piped county music was playing in the background when the band was taking a break. The stage is at the center with a bar in the back, so it isn't too difficult to view the band in any seat. Plus, there were TV monitors that were showing the live music as well. The second floor has more seats and another bar, and if you are lucky to come on a Friday night, they bring a mechanical bull that you can ride. It is free if you have a receipt, but looks like they didn't enforce it. If you enjoy live county music, then I can recommend Ole Red. They have almost non-stop music from the afternoon to late evening. However the food is mostly Sonny's quality, which is nothing special. You will be paying not only with the higher prices, but with the calories and fat as well. It's the live music that brings the crowd, and the mechanical bull on Fridays that lured me in. If you want to visit, go when it doesn't get busy, else you may have to wait a while. Parking is free at the garage, but it will be difficult during the busy hours. I find this overall a decent restaurant for the tourists wanting BBQ food and enjoying live country music. read more

We had fried pickles as an appetizer, the redneck nachos and the pulled pork sandwich. The fried pickles were fantastic. The food was not. Ole Red delivers on a good time. They have live music with first come first serve seating. Drinks are served fast and mixed well. It's probably a good idea to eat before you come. The food used to be amazing. I especially enjoyed the southern tarter tot poutine. It has fried cheese curds, pulled pork, white gravy, green onions and a fried egg. Their wings and ribs were also very good. Unfortunately my last three visits the food has been disappointing and I no longer have favorites. Most recently I ordered a burger that was tasteless and served on what felt like a stale dried out bun. The tomato was hard and the lettuce was limp.
