I have fond memories of Olgas. 80s mall happiness. Stick to the classics here and you'll be happy. My Olga was good. I miss the garlic salt and cayenne adds and do not want the cheese so there is no easy way to get it on a carry out. I like the original with extra olgasauce even without the glow up though. The olga side salad is always tasty. Super simple but nice. Crunchy veg with olive and feta fir that tang. Not overdressed. As refreshing as I remember.. The snackers were way overseasoned, chewy and sad. The Swiss almond cheese was sparse for the amount of soggy accompaniment. I do not recall this dreck. Spendy for what ended up in a trash bin. I work for a bank. One of my coworkers had their child with them at work. We ordered Olga's using GrubHub for the child because we were ordering ribs and BBQ that the child didn't want. We got the kids three cheese Olga that came with a salad and drink. We opted for no drink. The three cheese Olga came with almost no cheese in it. The salad was just lettuce and dressing. No olive or tomato. Just so Olga's is aware, kids have standards too. read more

I grew up around the corner from an Olga's and that was the place my HS friends and I used to go for a fancy dinner. We'd split a basket of snackers and gossip over orange cream coolers. Lots of fond memories and pining over crushes and snarking over "mean" teachers went on there. So the other day when I was feeling particularly stressed I wanted something comforting from "the good old days" to perk me up. An Olga's order was...well...in order. I haven't ordered from this location before but they're currently the last spot in town so we went with that, even though they are on the other side of town. I was bracing myself for a lukewarm meal thanks to the distance but everything was great, aside from the fries which did lose a bit of their crispiness (totally to be expected and not much to be done about that). The snackers were delicious and just as I remembered them and my husband and I both really enjoyed our sandwiches. The flatbread is still just as good as when it put them on the map. FYI they're on several delivery apps but if you order through their own app you can still get delivery without the markup (you do pay for the delivery itself but it's still cheaper than ordering through a 3rd party) AND they'll give you loyalty points and a free app for signing up! read more

I was there a couple weeks ago and the food was good but the service was not. We had a waitress (her name started with a J) who clearly didn't want to take our order or be there. She messed up our order and then didn't put a to go order on our receipt and didn't give it to the kitchen to make. I wanted to chalk it up to maybe having a bad day but as someone who's worked in costumer service before even when I had bad days I faked it. We only saw our waitress when she took our order and then it was the managers who kept coming back and bringing us our food and our check (which we asked for separate checks and didn't get that). Overall it was a bad service experience and if I go back I will make sure not to get that waitress because why would I want someone who clearly didn't want to be there. read more

When I come back home to Michigan I always stop off at Olga's. I crave their spinach pies and gyros. The pita is sweeter than most places and the sauce hits the spot. My friend wanted to go here because she likes the Spinach dip. I decided that I would get the original Olga which has lamb and beef. Simple enough. The place is discombobulated. We were waited on quickly but the manager had to take over because they were new. Our order was taken for a second time. My friend complained because the dip was cold and there were no chips. We went back and they gave us chips. I got home and had a chicken Olga. My mouth was all set fir lamb. I should have checked. Maybe this place is better during the day. Garbage. Any GM they get in here is trash. The new beady eyed kid acts like he's off 200 mg of adderall, running around but not actually doing anything. At one point, he congratulated the sole female line cook for completing $2,000 in sales but did absolutely nothing to assist her. I love Olga, she was an amazing lady and I was honored that I got to meet her and speak with her at a Yelp! Event a few years before she passed away. It was an awesome night that will stay with me always. When she talked to you, she made you feel like your conversation was the most important thing in the world at that moment, despite the dozens of other people waiting to speak with her. I recently got some Olga's after a long period of time with almost no dining out or even fast food; but when I got my classic Olga, curly fries and Peasant soup, I was immediately impressed with how consistently good they are. My food was excellent and there is just something about the Olga's Peasant soup...it's just so good, it's my favorite soup, after homemade Broccoli & Cheddar soup. Fairly new store. It is clean, and well kept. Our visit was for lunch. Service was great. The food was fast and fresh. Only bummer was that the special menu that original brought me in, was being phased out and I wasn't able to get the Asian salad. It was so good! I do wish they had something similar on the regular menu. The orange cream cooler taste has changed to me. It's a fake orange flavor that didn't used to be there, or perhaps it's just me. I won't order that again but this won't keep me away from Olga's. Their snackers are still the bomb. Need to try the zucchini fries next time and super cheese. It was my first time in and I went with no expectations, didn't even look at the menu ahead of time. I went by myself and got the cheese steak. Unfortunately it was pretty bland. I've been doing take out here quite a bit over the last year and almost always got a salad with no problems at all, but the last two times I've ordered, I've had literal rotten greens in the salad- not just wilting, but slimy, discolored, ROTTING lettuce. This Yelp Elite Event In East ANN Arbor, MI is really a lot of fun! The chef is showing us how to make cheese. We got Original & Brisket & Veggie Olga's! They were awesome and especially good !! This restaurant is super clean and we have met some very nice new friends!! It's always fun to share a table for 6 when you come as a couple!! The salad with apples and Feta cheese was excellent tasting as well! But to top off the meal, we got some powdered and cinnamon/sugar donuts with chocolate sauce!!! Update to my review on 4/18. The "free sandwich" coupons never arrived in my inbox, so I didn't even receive compensation for the errors. I also should mention that the manager at the time hung up on me the first time and overall didn't seem to know what they were doing. Unprofessional, poorly managed, unsatisfying. I will not be returning. I got ripped off. Supposedly someone took my order from the dropoff area before I got there so they had to remake it. What I finally got was missing my sandwich ($15 item), and also had no sauce for zuc fries or almond butter for snackers. Especially galling - the checkout automatically applies a minimum 15% tip. For carryout! I called for a credit but they can only send me coupons. I'm not sure I"ll even use them because I"m not inclined to return. Our server was nice enough, however, the food took FOREVER. When our food finally came, nothing we ordered was the way we ordered it. Toppings we didn't ask for, missing things we asked for. I asked for regular Mayo twice (after ordering my entree with Mayo instead of garlic aioli) and both times she brought the garlic aioli. I ordered a fruit cup for my 18mo old and it literally came as apple slices in water. Nothing else. There is absolutely no excuse for this. We went last night for dinner. Our waitress (Amanda) was nice and not over bearing like the ones you usually get at the restaurant that hounds whenever you took a bite. We typically enjoy going to Olga's but noticed that this particular location felt like we were in the GHETTO version of OLGA's- dirty tables everywhere, employees just standing around not doing much of anything, STALE, possibly OLD food being served, SERIOUS lack of customer service/friendliness- employee's here seem to cumulatively give of the vibe that they're JUST there to get their paycheck and more than likely DESPISE their jobs and the customers they wait on (and who pay their bills....*cough cough)..... All in all, if you enjoy eating at Olga's, you likely be disappointed by the MEDIOCRE quality of personalities/overall work ethic that exists at this place, the only thing appealing about it, is the location and the exterior, once you come inside and get a vibe for the people who work here, and the stale (really bad salads, not fresh at all, quite different from most other Olga's- taste like someone drenched some iceburg lettuce in some oil, sprinkled with old feta cheese and like two olives (TOTAL)....will NOT be back here again!!!! read more

I haven't dined in at this Olga's, so I can't make commentary on the experience of eating there/service provided on-site. But I recently made a risky decision and decided to give their catering a try. I say "risky decision" because it was for a session of an important and on-going seminar/workshop we are putting on at work, and to use a vendor we have never tried offers the potential for a terrible experience just as much as it offers the chance at a great experience. I took a leap of faith. We were not disappointed. We catered in food for a group of people with a variety of dietary needs, and the food that came was plentiful, flavorful, and accommodating to all our requests. It was also delivery in a timely fashion and even arrived a few minutes early to make sure folks could eat on time. There were a few attendees who had not previously been sold or stoked about Olga's, and they all walked away feeling very differently on the subject. Everyone was very happy and we are glad to open our embrace to more Olga's catering in the future. read more

I only ate here because of a Yelp Elite event I attended and I can't believe what I have been missing! I ate so many Snackers, many of which were vegetarian-friendly​, and donuts! The event even offered a cooking demo. I would definitely go back to try out my favorites from the event again and discover new favorites from their extensive menu! read more

Incredibly disappointed. This is the 2nd yelp review we have left for Olga's, both completely unacceptable service, both from the same server. We went to the location that used to be on Plymouth Rd, had an UNBELIEVABLY poor experience where another table received our drinks that we already drank out of. Since then, we have been going to this location on Washtenaw, and we have gone many, many times since. However, this time we found we had the same server as before. Not only were we sitting at our table for 10 minutes before even being greeted, but my soup did not come out for 15 minutes after my boyfriend received his. My boyfriend was almost done eating all of his food when I finally got it. Server was nowhere to be seen for most of the time. We had to ask another server to help us, and honestly she served us more than our actual server did. Jaysa (? Or Jaesa?) was incredibly sweet and helpful. She was a much better server for us and she wasn't even our server. read more

Updating the review. We haven't had problems when going in person. Door Dash orders I've found you have to put in comments on the order to make sure you get all your extra sauces you paid for. Not sure why they otherwise don't fulfill what was paid for, but maybe the interface is confusing or something to them. But food is still great read more

I really don't like having to rate off of one visit to a store, but this one in particular had really irked me. I was running to Mott Hospital, and on the way I had decided to grab some lunch for the visit. I had called and placed an order on the phone for their 'Curbside Olga Service' and as they told me, my order would be ready in 20 minutes... to pull into one of the spots and we would be taken care of. I arrived there about 25-30 minutes after my call and parked in the first spot... clearly visible to the store front. There... I waited. And waited... 5 minutes go by... I start wondering what was going on... and then finally at 10 minutes, I got out of my truck and headed in. As I walked in, I was greeted by the host and was asked if I was dining in. I had simply replied that I had been sitting out in the curbside pickup for 10 minutes or so, and no one had came out to bring me the order I had already placed. Of course I was apologized to... I get that.. but why wasn't this being paid attention to? I paid for my food and headed out with my carry out order. As I was walking back to my truck, the person in the vehicle that was parked next to mine, who had been sitting there since before I pulled in had asked, "What is going on with the car side service?" I simply replied that I had no idea, and that I had gotten tired of waiting for someone to come out. The food was fine... it was olga's. But the full functionality of the establishment needs to keep up. read more

Just this past Monday I was able to attend a Yelp event at Olgas and it was amazing! I had such a fantastic experience and everything from the food to the service were phenomenal. I have always been a lover of Olgas and this just escalated that love to another level. The staff working this event were wonderful and definitely deserve the recognition. They were given a huge event to handle and they did such a good job. The food was great and it looked great too! The snackers were served with a new queso dip that I need in my life now, every day please. I really appreciated how clean the restaurant was and how the staff really seemed to care about doing a great job. It goes a long way. I will definitely be returning to this location! Attended the Yelp event here last evening along with my wife. We were treated to Carolina BBQ Olgas as well as the Olgas original. Although we both enjoyed the bbq variety we were disappointed with the original. The onions served on this sandwich were so overpowering that we could not make out any of the other flavors. Snackers and queso were good as were the donuts. Excellent service was given to us by Alessandro. Perhaps we may stop by another time. read more

Spinach feta w/filo dough was good. Olga's classic was very disappointing. I grew up on this souvlakia at original store way back in Birmingham. We were friends with Olga. She was amazing. She would not be proud of her beautiful original. Was all flaccid meat no trimmings and barely any sauce. What a disappointment. And bread pudding was dry. I guess that's franchise life. If this is a good representation of Olga's now I won't be eating here anymore. I came to this location twice and both times my food was horrible. I tried to give the benefit of the doubt of maybe it just being a bad day the first time but the second it was equally as bad. I always order the grilled chicken olga, the chicken on both were SO dry and SO tough I could barely eat it. In addition to the meat being dry and tough there is virtually no sauce on the olga. It was terrible and unfortunately both times I was already home and too far to take it back. I threw away at least half both times I got food from here because it just wasn't worth attempting to not waste food. I'm pretty disappointed because Olga's is not cheap and this place used to be a favorite of mine for YEARS. read more
