I grew up around the corner from an Olga's and that was the place my HS friends and I used to go for a fancy dinner. We'd split a basket of snackers and gossip over orange cream coolers. Lots of fond memories and pining over crushes and snarking over "mean" teachers went on there. So the other day when I was feeling particularly stressed I wanted something comforting from "the good old days" to perk me up. An Olga's order was...well...in order. I haven't ordered from this location before but they're currently the last spot in town so we went with that, even though they are on the other side of town. I was bracing myself for a lukewarm meal thanks to the distance but everything was great, aside from the fries which did lose a bit of their crispiness (totally to be expected and not much to be done about that). The snackers were delicious and just as I remembered them and my husband and I both really enjoyed our sandwiches. The flatbread is still just as good as when it put them on the map. FYI they're on several delivery apps but if you order through their own app you can still get delivery without the markup (you do pay for the delivery itself but it's still cheaper than ordering through a 3rd party) AND they'll give you loyalty points and a free app for signing up!

When I come back home to Michigan I always stop off at Olga's. I crave their spinach pies and gyros. The pita is sweeter than most places and the sauce hits the spot. The only thing that was off this time was one of the pies was dark brown and the other very light brown and almost. underdone. While I did take out, the restaurant looked neat and clean.

My friend wanted to go here because she likes the Spinach dip. I decided that I would get the original Olga which has lamb and beef. Simple enough. The place is discombobulated. We were waited on quickly but the manager had to take over because they were new. Our order was taken for a second time. My friend complained because the dip was cold and there were no chips. We went back and they gave us chips. I got home and had a chicken Olga. My mouth was all set fir lamb. I should have checked. Maybe this place is better during the day. Going this late was not a good idea or this place needs better training.

Fairly new store. It is clean, and well kept. Our visit was for lunch. Service was great. The food was fast and fresh. Only bummer was that the special menu that original brought me in, was being phased out and I wasn't able to get the Asian salad. It was so good! I do wish they had something similar on the regular menu. The orange cream cooler taste has changed to me. It's a fake orange flavor that didn't used to be there, or perhaps it's just me. I won't order that again but this won't keep me away from Olga's. Their snackers are still the bomb. Need to try the zucchini fries next time and super cheese. That's the cheesiest melding I have ever seen.

I love a good salad, so I was excited to finally check out sweetgreen while in Ann Arbor recently…read more Nate and I chose this location for its proximity to another spot we wanted to visit (York) as well as its available parking lot vs. the downtown location. I had browsed the menu a bit beforehand, and decided I wanted the caramelized garlic steak protein plate. They also have bowls (greens + grains base) and salads. Unfortunately they were all out of the steak and it was going to be a 10 minute wait, and they were also out of the roasted sweet potatoes so I ended up kind of building my own bowl with mixed greens, rice, blackened chicken, tomatoes, mushrooms, broccoli, and pesto vinaigrette. I liked that they mixed up the bowl for me since it can be tough to mix in those small to-go containers. They also asked if I wanted light, regular, or heavy dressing - I said regular, but would probably go light next time. We also got a piece of bread on the side. They have a designated outdoor seating area by the parking lot, which was great for the nice day. I loved my bowl and everything was super fresh and very flavorful. It was also a huge portion! We definitely could have split one bowl. I will say that it was super salty. Nate liked his shroomami bowl even though we both thought the kale could have been massaged a bit to make it softer. I'm hoping sweetgreen will expand to Grand Rapids - we do have CoreLife but I'd love to have this option too!

The noodle dishes were beyond disappointing. Needs major work and overhaul in the flavor department. Poke - DO NOT get it with the sushi rice. Their sushi rice is very mushy and does injustice to the dish. Instead get it with regular white rice. miso soup - should be called green onion soup with the amount of the sliced green onions in the dish. Didn't have much of miso flavor either. Overall, walked away disappointed, most likely won't be back. However, the staff members were welcoming and friendly. The dining area was large and open, few high tables close to the kitchen.

The drink I got fit the latter's description. Would suggest updating the board :). I did get a little jittery afterwards, but unsure if that was from the "energy boosting" botanicals or from a coffee I had a couple hours earlier. (Or combo - I do tend to be more sensitive to caffeine, and assuming this drink was caffeine free.) Free WiFi and seating/outlets to do a bit of work here. We were two people and might have ordered one dish too many but no worries there, it'll be good lunch the next day. All sauces and dressings are house made. You can tell that everything is done by hand. Thai chicken skewers- the sesame seeds are a cool touch! The sauces were good companions to the flavors but the chicken was slightly overdone. Maybe a skip. Bluecrab cakes - divine! Delicate, texture, crab forward with herbs. An absolute must! Lamb kofta- wow, beautiful spices, tender lamb. The tomato, eggplant chutney was earthy and hearty. The garlic tahini is mild and smooth. The combo with the kofta makes you feel like you're in a Dearborn restaurant. Authentic! Asparagus salad - is a summer special. The asparagus is lightly grilled, fresh beets are sweet and crunchy, hard boiled eggs to perfection- soft and fresh, prosciutto gives a great salty, meaty contrast and delicate vinaigrette. By the way I got the Shakshouka. And guess what wasn't in my dish that brought out? Literally after all that. Also it was the worst Shakshouska I have ever had. It should be in bed of tomato sauce...yeah I guess they forgot that too. Honestly the service was slow (mind you they were not very busy), the menus were dirty (our waiter as he ris talking to us literally says oh wow those menus are dirty), it was extremely over priced, my little tiny coffee (please look at the picture it's in the red espresso cup) was like $13. I honestly can not see how this place is in business. The ambience is beautiful but the music was way too loud and its in a very nice shopping center but the food was not good at all. Maybe they had a new cook and didn't know the ingredients so he just messed up all of our food? I don't know because the menu descriptions sound great but the execution was not there.
