Shout out to Tanya, our server. She was fantastic. First time at this location. I have to say I love Olga's and grew up on it. The company has had its struggles over the years but my wife and I still try to always support Olga's when we can. Many locations have gone down hill over the years. Either my spinach pie is dry and tastes like it's been reheated a few times or my Olga bread is soggy on my sandwich. Clearly not the case here. This was the best Olga experience I have had since I was young. My spinach pie was so hot and fresh, deliciously crispy. My Olga burger almost made me want to cry it was so delicious and juicy. All the toppings were so fresh and the Olga bread was hot and crispy. The restrooms are very clean and so is the rest of the establishment. All the staffs attitudes are very positive and sets for a very nice and inviting vibe. Message to the front of the house and back, as well as management, keep up the great work, don't let a negative experience deter you. The bad always outweighs the good, but just move past it and take in a positive customer experience as much as you take in a negative one and things will make your already hard job much easier. All my best and I will be visiting this locations again very soon, I don't mind driving the extra 20 mins out of the way for food this good! read more

We went there this week and I tried out their new fish and chips which was really good. We also got humus snackers which were really good and not to much seasoning on them either. The waitress we had was very friendly and on top of things. My husband ordered the original Olga with Greek seasoned fries. The service was pretty fast too. We come here at least once a month. I've eaten at this Olga's location a handful of times now. I keep coming back because I love Olga's and each time I hope that they get things right. Alas, they do not. The one good thing I can say is that the sandwiches are usually made well. It's just that everything else tends to come out badly done. Wet salads, salads with brown lettuce. Burnt, rock-hard snackers, and old dried up fries. It's always something. I haven't been to Westland mall in a while. Hopefully that one is still kickin. read more

I am a fan of Olga's just not this locale. I was hoping this would be a Fresh Market Grille concept like the other new Olga's. That was and is a great idea. I love the no tip, fast and fresh type deal myself, as do most non cooking suburbanites I imagine. This modern, overpriced streamlining option you went with here does not cut it for me, sorry. I knew from Liz R and Suzanne's original reviews I might have issues but I went anyway because it is so much more freaking convenient from my house than any other Olga's, and I was meeting my Dad who is in Plymouth so it's roughly equidistant. Mistake. The food here was not terribly good, to get our usual items was overpriced and to my father's dismay they had no snacker baskets (his fave thing). Sad. Really sad. I don't love fries auto with a sandwich (I asked for a salad instead and still got fries, having to then wait for my salad and then get a paltry one and attitude when the mistake was not mine). My father can't do salads at any rate (blood thinners), the fries are too fatty and full of sodium and the upcharge for soup (without snackers) is two bucks. Seven bucks for a bowl of soup and a few snackers is outrageous.full.stop. His meal of a sandwich and soup was eleven bucks and neither were huge or anything. You can cross the street and get much more for way less. We both felt we did not get good value for our money (well his money, he was paying). P.S. High top tables as your large group option is not handicapped friendly. My husband cannot do high top tables due to his numerous leg surgeries, thanks for letting us park in the to go spots but if we come with a large group he will have nowhere to sit. My parents are old and would be highly uncomfortable, my dad's legs are twitchy and have poor circulation as it is. Duh. Also my father is not handicapped but is freaking old, hiking around to get to the entrance is treacherous, I can only imagine how much worse that situation will be in the winter. Yikes. Can we say lawsuit waiting to happen? Poor planning, really poor planning. As far as Christy's assertion of take my business elsewhere, thanks I will. I don't think Olga's should share that view though. It seems the majority of us dislike this concept. I suggest either going with the Market Fresh Grille, Panera type concept or switching this to an original Olga's type place, people obviously prefer those things. Well if you want a thriving business switch, if not keep it the way it is. Instead of passing out coupons to the vocal disgruntled yelpers (or whatever it is you are doing with the *look for* messages) I'd take their criticisms to heart and actually change things. I honestly see no improvements, only things to be disgruntled about. Overpriced, smaller menu, less faves, super loud, not as good food prep and not terribly comfy for groups unless you are all young and able-bodied. Sorry Olga's but I call it like I see it. NOT happy with this 'new Olga's' set up... and if they've all gone to this format then they've likely lost me as a customer. First, some specifics on this particular location. It's located in an already busy section of Ford Road. There are only a few parking spaces in the front of the building (shared with other stores). There is more parking in back, but no back entrance to the restaurant... so you trudge along the active driveway (be careful!) to the front. High ceilings and open floor plan means it is extremely loud (I swear I heard the loudest child scream of my entire life here - loud enough that all conversation ceased and heads turned to the demon...er I mean child). Now on to the food. My lunch companion and I both love the Fried Chicken Olga. You know, one of the two original Olgas they're known for. Uhm, not on the menu. Wha? We asked our waitress (who took at least 10 minutes to get to our table the first time), and she said they can make it, but that's the only one they can off the old menu. Double wha? All olgas come with fries for about $9+, or you can upcharge $2 for a bowl of soup instead of fries. I love their broccoli soup and snackers, so yes please to soup. Here, bowl = saucer (literally 5 spoons of soup). And the snackers? Yeah, they don't come with the soup here. $3 for a small plate of snackers (a wonderful surprise on my bill). We'll check out the Westland Mall location, and I'll report back if Olga's has been forever banned for Ken and me. read more

This is by far the best Olga's Kitchen around. This is the Olga's I remember from childhood. The restaurant is very clean, even the bathrooms were spotless. The food was delicious! The veggies were actually fresh and the pita was the best pita from Olga's that I've had in years. The service was excellent. Our server Tanya went over and beyond to make sure we have everything. Gosh this places quality seems to change as much as I change batteries in my TV remote.(..twice to three times a year!)..! We had some bad experiences when they 1st opened...they actually fixed those; and now this experience! Tonight we went for dinner at this Canton,Mich location and we are so disappointed! The hostess was wonderful & greeted us with a smile (we've become "regulars" again!) and kindness. The waitress was nice, fair. The food was horrible !! My husband who has an "iron" stomach & who'll eat just about anything that can't walk away; he even agreed with me tonight!! The "steak 'N cheese", which has become our new favorite...was disgusting!! Usually it's nice flat steak and smooth not chewy &/or raw!! Oh My Gosh! It was raw and very thick and very chewy and just very bad tasting and looking! Our table rocked as we tried to cut the steak with the knife! We told the waitress when we got someone to find her for us. She offered a new one, but by now we were completely turned off from ever wanting another one in the near future! Then we ordered dessert and they didn't have anymore "chocolate chip bread pudding" left! Every time ...OK...5 out of 6 times that we order that got dessert, THEY'RE ALWAYS OUTBOF IT!! (OK..99% of the time!!). So then we ordered the hot fudge brownie and started vesting it and it was BURNT! How gross us that?? We finally tracked down the waitress again. She did get us a new one ... But do you know that a Manager NEVER SPOKE TO US about any of this??? Well it'll be another long time before we eat at this Olga's again!! read more

After an excruciating day at Ikea, I needed to refuel myself after all the walking, shopping and sensory overload that I had, so I came here with the date and his kids. I love Olga's, and can never seem to get enough. Plus, they have a check in offer of a free dessert with purchase, so it made sense to come here and fill up on food. Upon entering, I realized this place is a bit smaller and laid out differently then other Olga's I have been to. It seems like more of a mall location, with limited seating and a smaller feel to it. We got seated and reviewed the menu some and placed our orders. For starters, our server wasn't bad, but she wasn't on top of things. She screwed up a few times, and honestly, I didn't care for her at all. When our food came out, we had to ask for silverware since there wasn't any at the table. Secondly, when we did the free dessert with the yelp check in offer, she screwed it up a second time. We wanted the free Sundae and pay for one Orange slush things since that's what one of the kids wanted. Instead, she brought us out two! Also, she seemed to be rather irritated with us since she clearly didn't seem to want to be there. Also I noticed a lot of dirty tables when I was here. Yes, they eventually got cleaned, but I usually see that Olga's keeps their locations cleaner and doesn't let tables sit. This place isn't bad, but I wasn't impressed with the service here and the lack of attention to detail. My date's daughter didn't like her apple juice, and the server seemed to not be interested in hearing about it. She brought out a different drink, but she never adjusted it on the bill. We weren't looking for free food, but the girl took one sip and didn't want the rest. We didn't want to cause a stink since we were all starving, so we let it go since it was only a beverage. Overall I will still continue to eat at Olga's but am more hesitant at this location. The food was fine overall, just wasn't impressed with the lack of service and dirty tables here. I am willing to give this place a shot the next time I am on this side of town which is only every couple months. Also, they are now offering glasses of wine here that we noticed on the table, so a bonus point for that! read more

My family and I had a meal inside about a week ago and ordered the family meal. We got home with our leftovers and realized we did not get our donuts. I called up and spoke to one of the managers, who told me there was actually a charge for those. I informed him did not specify that on the menu. He said I could come up the next day and speak to the day manager. I did just that and was told again that there were actually two different family meal prices, one with and one without the donuts. I told him we are 99% certain we did pay but the receipts got shredded so I could not prove it. He honored the menu anyway and gave us our donuts! I cannot remember his name but he did a great job with customer service and with being patient. We will be back! read more

We love Olga's, and our experience here was outstanding. Not only is Olga's super on top of their cleaning and COVID restrictions, but they're friendly, delicious, and quick. Our server was attentive, helpful, and sweet. I always love the trio- with soup, salad, and an Olga. Perfect sizes so you have room for dessert or another appetizer because everything is so good! The cream of broccoli soup is really nostalgic for me and I absolutely love it. The Olga's salad is amazing and I enjoy the traditional Olga, but any of them are delicious. The traditional is a little different from your local gyro shop, so be prepared for something unique. Their bread is to die for! We also had a brownie sundae and it was a great finisher. This location has their stuff together and I definitely recommend them! read more

Our food was amazing the kids and I had the fried chicken strip pita and my son have a chipotle pita and we all enjoyed our food it was good and hot and that was much appreciate it. I have been to Olga's restaurants many times over the last 7 years or so. My general thoughts about the chain have been: -Excellent bread (pita style...sort of) -A little bit overpriced -Snackers are amazing -I didn't like how they charged extra for a side with your sandwich I lived in Florida for the past year, and returned to see that Olga's has an updated menu and seems to be trying out a new look and feel with their new restaurants. I was very surprised to see the tall ceilings and open kitchen. It took away the semi-cozy feel of Olgas. The place also had fairly loud music playing, which was quite a change from the quiet feel of the older Olga's concept. The place was loud all over. In general, this wasn't a bad thing. It was neat to see the little bread rolling machine and the cooks in the kitchen making the delicious Olga sandwiches. I was pleasantly surprised to see an updated menu with a few key changes: - A "small plate" of snackers that was perfect for two in addition to the larger "basket" option. - Fries or a salad included with the sandwich I always feel like I'm being nickeled and dimed when I am charged extra for a side, so it was a pleasant change. They also seem to have eliminated some of the less healthy options like the fried chicken Olga. Overall, Olga's food is the same delicious stuff as always. I am not a fan of the loudness within this particular one. However, I love the open kitchen. read more

Damn this place only has 3 stars ?? I thought the place was cool! Name alone made me want try it! I've never been to one. Sometimes it's all in a name! Ok, most times. Place is nice. Staff is friendly and welcoming. I don't eat wraps as much as I should, but I thought they were good! Lots of variety. It can me overwhelming but I guess if people didn't ask for them, why else would they be on a menu? Not sure what I ordered so don't ask. Suffer from short term memory loss. Most days. Btw- Michigan's got some kick-ass names for food places! Tom Chee was under construction at the time. Otherwise I would've tried that too right after! I eat a lot! Every time I drive by here or around noon it always looks super busy. Came here around 11am and it wasn't so bad on a weekday. Service was good, facilities were clean and staff was pleasant. Beautiful interior decor and very spacious with high ceilings and bright lighting with all the windows. The broccoli cheddar soup was as rich and creamy as you hope it to be, the Greek salad had generous feta along with the other delicious toppings and just the right amount of dressing. The snackers they prepare have all the seasoning you need and plenty of the butter that tops them perfectly. Service was attentive and filled our drinks as they emptied and rounded often to make sure our needs were met. The Olga sandwiches have incredible pita bread that's different than your typical pita bread. Just make sure to ask for extra for your additional toppings and check the chicken before you bite into it. This was my first time going to Olga's in well over a decade. The original Olga sandwich tasted just as I remembered and it just brought back so many childhood memories. The bread was a bit thinner than I recall it being, but the overall taste was great. I love how the sauce is so tangy and is contrasted by the sweet bread. Yum! Place was clean. Food came out quickly and freshly made. Staff was friendly and attentive. If I'm in the area again, I'd go back. For Mediterranean/Greek food in the Detroit/lower Michigan area, this is good, and has its unique flavor, but there's definitely some hole-in-the-wall, mom and pop spots that make slightly more memorable gyro and shawarma type sandwiches (hence 4 and not 5 stars). read more

Stopped in for a quick meal. Ordered a soup and salad combo. Salad came first and was a disappointment. I realize it's your basic Olga's salad, but a third of it was thick stems, some slimy leaves and a green cherry tomato. So I ate what I could and when the waitress asked how my salad was I was honest and told her it was not very good. She could see all the bad parts I didn't eat. (Now shame on me for not sending it back in the first place). She replied "I am sorry". I thought maybe the manager would pop by and apologize and maybe take it off my bill. No one came by....... I used to love Olga's growing up, so the other night when craving some comfort food, my husband and I ordered some take out from the Canton location. I wanted the Olga salad but the man on the phone said they were out of it due to a recall on the lettuce. Instead, I ordered the broccoli soup and a basket of snackers and my husband got the classic Olga which he said was just "okay". My soup was so thick it was like jello and it had coagulated clumps of soup base. They also only gave us one side of cheese with a basket and side of snackers. We usually stay clear of chain restaurants but a few places were closed that day because of the weather. For the price, I would say the food is below average, extremely salty, and the quality has gone down over the years. read more

I've been to several Olga's Kitchen in the area, and some are better than others. This isn't one of the better. Ordered the 1/2 Olga and two sides, one being soup. The snackers weren't just not warm, they were cold. Funny, with three snackers - you still get the same amount of cheese that you get with the full order. {enter head tilt} The Olga original was good, they usually are. Then we waiting for our bill - finally tagging another wait staff to get our person to the table. Our waitress added someone elses order to our bill and we had to wait for that to get sorted out. Highest of kudos go out to Abby at the Canton / Ford road Olga's location. Seconds after we arrived she greeted us, got our name and went in to check on the status of our order. Minutes later she returned, gave us an update and asked if we were in need of anything. Then minutes later she brought our food and wished is well on our travels home. The take away here is Abby's positive demeanor and professionalism. Her smile and attitude made me feel good about the experience...... And no she's not my daughter or acquaintance. I've been to a million Olga's. Okay, not a million, but at least 15 or so. I liked the modern decor of this location. Our service was solid and the food was fresh and came out quickly. I always order the same thing at Olga's (original Olga with extra sauce on the side, small side salad and snackers), and it was good as usual. This Olga's also has BOOZE. I think it's only wine from what I could tell, but still crazy weird! Biggest complaint is that it's a huge pain in the A to get in and out of this place. Hardly any parking in front and the back is pretty far back. Kind of annoying. Also hard to get in and out of the lot from busy Ford Rd. read more

I'm not a big Olga's groupie and hence I wasn't getting excited about the new one in Canton. I view Olga's as just a more upscale Coney Island diner. I wanted a quick bite to eat. Plus, I wanted to buy an overpriced coconut cupcake at the cupcake place next door. So, I popped in to Olga's. Parking was a nightmare! It didn't help that some spots were reserved for carry out only. The staff was friendly enough. Still, I had to wait for a table even though there were several available. However, it wasn't a long wait. The menu offerings were light. I don't mean calorie wise. I mean there wasn't a lot of choices. The food was bland. Just asked about our food and refills to somebody else still waiting at this point in time it will take 4 hours to get food for 4 people. Never had this experience at any other Olga's in my life. I probably wont go back. Very overpriced for the very small portions of food. I don't like olgas greasy fries and am annoyed that you HAVE to pay for fries or salad with your sandwich.
