Hill chopped salad!

Beautiful atmosphere. Service is always good and menu changes periodically. I alway enjoy dining is such a charming garden setting.

Turkey BLT sandwich

I am visiting family in St. Louis and have been to Oliva's a handful of times now. I can truly say I love love this place! They have very limited hours and really only do lunch and events/parties (outside those hours). They share a parking lot with an antique store so it can get crowded and busy. But there is also street parking. When you enter in they have a separate area where you place your order that also is a giftshop with kitchen knick knacks etc. Its super cute! They are very friendly and can answer any questions about the menu and also do modifications. The menu is lunch focused- sandwiches, salads, etc. You get a table number after you order and seat yourself. They have an outdoor seating area in addition to an indoor one which is across from the firepit area. Both are lovely! This time we choose to sit outside. I got the chicken and cherry salad (with all romaine no arugula) and my friend got the Turkey BLT minus guacamole. The sandwich comes with waffle sweet potato fries and a side of dipping sauce. The food is so fresh and always delicious! I have also had the meatball sandwich and that is amazing. The day we went it was really crowded so they took a bit longer than normal to get all the food out, which is understandable. Highly recommend this place! Overall experience 5/5

Oliva is going to be a repeat spot now. Their Wine Down Wednesday is absolutely perfect. The patio is beautiful with a nice set up, I love the walk up bar and easy way to grab waters, plus there is a cute cafe to check out! The staff was friendly and helpful in their recommendations and I can't wait to go back. Thanks Oliva :)

Mimosa!!! It is too good. I would have taken a picture before but I drank it a little too fast. Flavor amazing!

Food, drinks, service, vibe, ambiance, all good prices and amazing. HIGHLY recommended! The servers are so nice and quick. Definitely coming back and recommending to friends and family!

Such a cute place! If you have not tried this super cute, tucked away lunch spot, you are missing out. It is way down at the end of the street. You will think you are lost but you aren't! You order as you walk in and after you enter this beautiful patio with an arbor draped with wisteria. It is so beautiful! They have wonderful choices for lunch. Great, really fresh salads, quiche, soups. I had a goat cheese cherry salad and I woofed it down. It was so good. They have wine and beer, teas and other drink choices. Staff is friendly and attentive. An added bonus is the antique mall next door. Go in and see some interesting things! The hours are only until 2 (I think). Wine down Wednesdays are popular so check that out!

Love, love, LOVE!! I'd been hearing such good things about Oliva's Wine Down Wednesday & finally made an appearance. Great beverage selections & the food menu (while limited) has some truly delicious options. You've got to try the flatbread & spinach artichoke dip. They have 2 outdoor patio options--one in the sun & one covered courtesy of wisteria (quite lovely). The indoor seating is great too! They had plenty of servers who were friendly so while it was busy, food & such came out in a timely fashion. I very much enjoyed visiting & will be back!

Great spot for a lunch with friends weekday or otherwise . They have salads , sandwiches and a kids menu . You order at the counter and they bring the food to you . There was only one server for the entire patio but she was efficient and friendly . We had tea with our meal but they have a wide selection of beverages : coffee , soda , flavored sparkling waters and wine . They do a wine down Wednesday evening and that is a lot of fun ! Make sure to visit the antique store next door . It's great :)

Lunch on the patio

A secret garden in the heart of The Hill neighborhood. There is a small parking lot and street parking available. You enter through the side door into the store to place your order. The menu boasts salads, sandwiches, and flat breads. We ordered the Cesar salad and the Italian sandwich with sweet potato fries made a perfect meal. A glass of rose' for a warm after noon rounded out the menu. You walk through the side door out to the garden. It's absolutely enchanting. A pergola covered in vines and tree branches making for a comfortable place to sit and relax. The service was prompt and friendly.

Meatball sub

Okay WHAT IS THIS PLACE. It's so freaking good! We were looking for a somewhat quick lunch, and this popped up in the area we were in. We were super surprised there's plenty of parking - both a large parking lot and specific street parking. It was so nice since the Hill is usually so packed. You order food in their cute little boutique, they have only a few options but they are all so good! I had the meatball sub and omg so much flavor. My fiancé got the Italian panini and it was also great, the flavor profiles went so well together. They were both served with sweet potato waffle fries with garlic aioli which was honestly just as good as the sandwiches, I could eat them every day. Great lunch spot! They also have s beautiful patio for nicer weather that I can't wait to utilize. Their indoor space is an event venue and is so pretty worn stained glass and a comfy, welcoming feel. Loved the whole experience. Truly a hidden gem!

Brie cheese

Quaint wedding venue! My best friend and I visited on Wine Down Wednesday and enjoyed the atmosphere. Food was just okay - baked Brie, pretzels, and sweet potato fries all came out lukewarm. Pinot noir was very light, but the Sangria was a refreshing surprise! Plenty of cozy indoor seating for chilly days, and outdoor seating with fire pits for a romantic glow. Great vibe for date night or girls' night out - will definitely return for the great drinks but may skip the food!

Wine Down Wednesdays, need I say more? Well I should because that's the only day this gorgeous hidden patio is open for your enjoyment! The small tapas menu will have something for everyone's palette and all pair perfectly with their glasses of wine. Oliva's Wine Down Wednesday is perfect for a girls night out! My favorites: Artisan Cheese Board & the Baked Goat Cheese with Caramelized Onion and Figs

It is also nice they offer half's and full sandwiches so you can try multiple half sandwiches! I've tried the Mississippi River, Phil and cheds, and the Alcatraz. There wasn't that much line when I went, they take your other at the kiosk by the bar. They have a large assortment of sandwiches, comes in whole OR half (which is half the price of a whole). I ordered 2 half sandwiches, "The Meatball" and "The Steak Out". It didn't take long at all to make my sandwiches and they also have options to customize specialty sandwiches if specific toppings are wanted. The Steak Out was the 1st sandwich tried, and was the best one out of the two. The steak was cooked medium rare but isn't too rare at all or overcooked past that if you are worried about that either. Not only that, but the jalapenos and the pepper mayo are to die for, and they didn't completely soak it in sauce (which is a common concern as well). Everything tastes so freshly made, with half a sandwich honestly being more than enough for 1 sitting. Overall rating 8.9/10. The Meatball was very good as well, meatballs were cooked well throughout and tender to the bite. I am not completely mad at the Baguette being the bread of choice but they couldn't have went wrong with ciabatta neither. It was a very solid sandwich, nothing too extraordinary but nothing I can really complain about neither. Overall rating 8.3/10. In past visits, I have also tried the Enzo Gorlomi (basically a spicy italian) which I thought was better than both sandwiches I tried during that visit, but I may be biased because I love spicy italian sandwiches. Should still try though in my opinion. All in all, I would definitely come back to this place when I'm in the area, pricing is pretty good for the food amount and quality you are getting. Vibes are cool in there, they seem like a business with a lot of experience doing what they do. I wouldn't say they are the absolute best in St. Louis... yet, but they are definitely up there for sure. They are also open until 1:30AM Tues - Sat so its a great late night option.

There are only about 12 to 13 seating options, with only about 5 or 6 of them being non-bar height options. Nikki was our server; she was awesome, helpful & attentive! Everything is a la carte. Boooooooo! Lol. I'm not a huge fan of restaurants that serve a la carte. But whatevs. I started with the Charleston drink. It was good and strong; came out in a fancy box w a lil smoke. It was semi dramatic, lol. We decided to order the collards and spinach artichoke dip to start with. It was good. It gave spinach and artichoke dip for the most part. The seasoned saltine crackers that accompanied that were not my favorite, but not the worst, & we had to ask for more to finish the dip (we were unexpectedly charged for them -_____-). I wish it was pita bread or pita chips instead, but I guess the crackers are Lucy's special touch. We finally decide on food; she got the catfish po boy, I got the brisket sandwich. She said her sandwich was FIRE but I didn't try it so I can't speak to that unfortunately. My brisket sandwich was ok; it had queso on it and it was kinda cold which was wack. The sandwich was a decent size for sure, I just could have went for a different bread personally. The ciabatta bread overpowered the actual meat. I asked for bbq sauce to dip and eat pieces of the brisket. I want to come back and try the Brussels and catfish po boy myself.

Because who just eats at one place when you can aggressively commit to 2 places? At Little Lucy, I ordered The Charleston, which is their smoked old-fashioned, and yes, it comes with a whole dramatic tableside smoke show. It's like dinner theater but with bourbon. It tasted like a campfire if that campfire also happened to major in mixology. Alongside it, we got the collard greens and artichoke dip, which was creamy and earthy. Loved it?! This place did have fresh food, I'll give it that. But, it definitely lacked in aspects that didn't make it amazing or something I'd really suggest unless someone I knew was vegetarian. We were served quickly but definitely felt like the staff had a very "meh" attitude. It's a very specific type of place, mismatched furniture, kind of eclectic. It gives very "lived in vibes". The food itself was okay. The steak dumpling were probably my favorite but I wish there was more options for dipping sauce rather than just chili crisp oil. I ordered the big Thai wrap, and while it was good, I had to ask for extra sauce because the lettuce was just overwhelming, like there was just a giant wad of it thrown in there. The wrap itself is a rice paper so you really can't put it down when you eat it or it just falls apart. But, overall, with extra sauce, rearranging things a bit everything was generally good. Would I go out of my way to go back? Probably not but it's definitely a great place to try for yourself.

Oh Joey B's where have you gone...pre-Covid we came here weekly...typically multiple times. Seems…read morelike they've never recovered from COVID...they cut their hours, food quality has really gone down while prices have dramatically increased, service is just uninterested. Is there a manager that oversees the restaurant? Today we came in at approx 4:00 on a Friday mind you, no one to greet us, the bartender didn't even look in our direction. A simple, "hello, someone will be right with you" would have gone a long way. So we sat ourselves at a high top in the bar area and waited. There were four people at the bar and us...still the bartender never acknowledged us...I suppose it's not in her job description. We waited long enough to debate on leaving...and finally our server showed up...she was good, explained the happy hour menu. I ordered garlic bread and meatballs off the Happy Hour menu and a cheeseburger off the kids meal for our grandson. I quickly changed my mind and went to ask if I could change my order but couldn't find anyone to help, all staff had disappeared...finally the server came out with bread (the best part of the meal) I asked if I could change or order...she was very nice and said the garlic bread was already in the oven, and checked if she could stop the meatballs. She was able to halt the meatballs so I ordered The Hammer I was so happy to see The Hammer had made its way back on their menu. For my side I ordered the salad, the salad used to be my favorite. The garlic bread came out...it was pitiful. The same bread that they serve in the beginning...slices with some garlic and a thin slice of provel...we didn't eat it. The salad was next, what used to be my favorite salad came with maybe a hint of dressing, I salted and peppered it hoping to add some flavor, I had to stop eating it until our waiter reappeared with The Hammer. I ordered a side of dressing which made the salad so much better. We were excited for The Hammer, but unfortunately it was the biggest disappointment of all. The bread was literally soaked with we don't even know what...best guess was jarlic...but it was very wet with sad toppings...ah remember the garlic bread we didn't eat? Well it came in handy, we transferred the toppings from the sandwich onto it and it was more edible. As I sat waiting for our server, a family of four came in the door faced with the same dilemma, no one to greet them. The bartender was chatting with someone at the end of the bar literally facing them and never greeted them. The Father had to go looking through the restaurant TWICE trying to find someone to acknowledge them. The server never checked to see if I needed another drink so we checked out and paid our overpriced tab and left to most likely never to return again. On our way home our 8 year old grandson said you know it's bad when something from the kids menu is the best they got... This restaurant has always been a neighborhood staple, I'm writing this hoping the owners can stop its downward spiral and bring it back to what it once was. I do see they're trying with a lunch menu and happy hour, just seems like the staff needs to get on board.
