Went to an early dinner on the top level with our family including 2 kids under 10. Food was wonderful!! Service was outstanding! We had burgers, pretzels, t-ravs and a salad. Everyone was very pleased with their food. Weather was great, lots of fun. I love that the top is dog friendly. Met some friends here for dinner and beers and it was the first time I had been. Fairly small area on the inside with a pretty big bar. Friendly and helpful bartender Rachel greeted us and suggested we sit on the corner of the bar since there were going to be 5 of us. She provided drink, food and happy hour menus. Pretty decent draft beer menu and ordered a local craft beer. Ordered some happy hour and sports game food while we could. Had wings, sliders, nachos and spring rolls. All were pretty good, probably beef sliders were my least favorite. Both the Thai chili and Buffalo wings were delicious and high quality wings. My only complaint is they had music trivia/karaoke that hardly anyone was participating in and made it pretty loud in the small area. We dined out and ordered brussel sprouts with bacon added, fries, and an order of fried pickles and other things because we were going to a trivia night. The fried pickles weren't done enough for my liking- they needed a little more crisp-ness to them! The fries were okay....nothing special. The brussel sprouts, though, I have to say were on point! I loved that I was able to add bacon! Not too buttery and cooked perfectly! I loved how the upstairs balcony looked although we didn't get to enjoy it. I've been taking my friend Bob (from CIC) around town trying hamburgers. Chris greeted us right away and even though we were there at 11:04 was very friendly. (They open at 11.) This place is just cool. It's got a totally laid back atmosphere with an upscale menu. I had the Cobb Salad with NO blue cheese (yuck!) and Bob had a double smash burger with cheddar and French fries. My salad was huge!! The house ranch dressing was great. Bob loved his burger and his fries. The burger was "one of the best". They have a rooftop deck but since it's 29 degrees we decided to eat inside. Ha! Since it was the holidays I gave Chris a scratch off and he won $10!! Looks like it was a good day for all of us! I'd definitely be back. read more

We saw this place was pretty busy and had a nice rooftop when we drove by the other day so we decided to check it out a few days later. We sat out on the rooftop for happy hour. We took advantage of the $2 off cocktails. They had a lot of other drink specials and some app specials as well. The food we got was great! I really enjoyed my jam bam smash burger and my husband liked his create your own smash burger. The jam bam burger was really unique. It had bacon jelly and fried goat cheese which was my favorite part and so yummy. I added on a piece of gouda cheese as well. The coconut shrimp app was really good as well but a bit pricy. We also got the SOHA tots. To me it sounded like tater tots topped with the bacon and cheese but it was actually stuffed tots (that wasn't even the consistency of a normal tater tot) and I wasn't a fan. The worst part of the experience was the service. There was only 1 other table on the rooftop for most of our happy hour and yet it took a long time to get service at times. I also asked if the martinis were part of the $2 off cocktails and her response was "I don't know," she didn't offer to ask or follow up with anyone which I thought was a bit rude and odd. Always passed by but never got a chance to go until last night. This place is awesome the vibe was just right. We sat at the top patio which was super cool nice little view with lights. We got seated pretty quickly and automatically were asked what we wanted. She brought out these big water cups, my favorite was the ice We got few drinks and some appetizers for happy hour. The Drinks and food was good. The fried pickles didn't really have much breading but the flavor was good. We sat there for quite some time and our server came by a total of 6 times asking if we needed anything pretty much waiting for us to ask for the bill. She was being very pushy even though other people who were there before us weren't being rushed anywhere. When we finally paid she left us alone. I came here for the first time with a group of friends for Thursday night trivia and had a great time. The trivia was general and accessible and the menu had tons of options, including several vegetarian options. All the burgers can be made with a veggie patty but I had the Veggie Deluxe with fried goat cheese and Thai chili sauce. The black bean burger was pretty standard. The only complaint from the group was small portions of sides (my partner only got three big onion rings) but it was still more than enough food. We'll be back next Thursday! read more

We arrived and it was too warm to sit in their ample outside seating. We were seated inside, where it was thankfully cool. There were many ample TVs with sports to watch and speakers piped in a mix of music that sometimes was so loud it was difficult to talk to my companion across the table. The waitress we had was very unwelcoming. (I would be happy to discuss this more in detail with SOHA directly if interested in details.) The menu had a focus on burgers and appetizers. We selected the fried goat cheese appetizer which we both enjoyed. I tried one of the burgers. The menu is very confusing as to the price of these. If you select one of their signature burgers, they list the toppings. If the diner then wishes to know the price, you must go to the top of the menu where there is an assigned price for each item, such as "cheddar cheese $1" or "onion rings $2" (the last is a guess as I did not memorize the menu). So depending on the size of the hamburger you select and these are offered in increments of 5 ounces, and the toppings that are desired, the price is calculated. As to the hamburger size, I was surprised that a 10-ounce burger is actually 2 five ounce burger when it arrives on one's plate. I had wrongly assumed from the pictures that the burger size of each increased accordingly, not that I would receive multiple patties. Speaking of the hamburger, mine arrived dry and with little flavor. It WAS disappointing as I read the reviews and saw that the burgers fair quite well among the reviewers. Parking was a bit of an issue as well. The ambiance of the place was bar, and seemed in need of a good cleaning and fresh paint. We were greeted warmly upon entering the facility.3 My companion had the blackened mahi sandwich. She did not find anything remarkable to comment on it about. We did like the house-made potato chips and the fried goat cheese appetizers, however, I doubt if we will be returning. read more

My wife and I dined here on a week day early afternoon around 3 for happy hour. We opted to sit on their fun, cool patio that's upstairs. The patio is dog friendly. The ambiance was fun and fairly hustle bustle noise wise. We were seated right away. The service was fairly good except when they had a long staff meeting at the end of our meal. We ordered drinks, an espresso martini and an old fashioned. Unfortunately, this round was pretty awful. We would not recommend ordering these options. The coffee in the martini was not great, and my old fashioned was completely orange.... It was a lot of bitters. However, for food, everything was exceptional! My wife got the jam bam and loved it. I got a customized smash burger 10 oz. I got American cheese and horsey mayo(horseradish). The horsey mayo was good, but I will opt for just a mayo next time. #curbside during the #pandemic It was a rough day at work and it was getting ready to storm. Being an essential worker and going home to a K-9 who is fearful of storms, I needed a treat for "me". As I cruised down Hampton, the thought of wings and rings popped into my head. So, I made a quick turn into the parking lot for one of the best little dive bars in my hood. I knew what I wanted, so I quickly pulled out my cell phone and called the number posted on their curbside promotional sign. A young lady cheerfully answered the phone. When ordering the wings, she asked if I wanted bone-in or boneless. For some reason, I always go bone-in. Boneless is just another name for nuggets. When I ordered my onion rings, she promptly asked if i wanted a full basket or a side order. What? She explained the difference in size and since it was just me, I took advantage of the side order. That was great customer service, because I would have wasted food not eating a complete basket. These wings and rings both hit the spot. My wings were, Butter Garlic Parmesan. The order was 6 pieces, perfectly divided into 3 flats and 3 drums. I'm always impressed when a bar makes sure they are equal portions of the two. My wings were crisp, juicy, meaty and full of garlic flavor. For a dive bar, their rings are top-notch. No frozen rings from a bag here. They're Panko encrusted, seasoned and served with a remi sauce. Breading in house, makes a difference. For me, the rings had enough flavor, that I only dipped once in the sauce. Gotta love a crispy ring. SOHA is organized well for #curbside service and is producing the same quality food that you receive inside. They're also offering growlers to-go. The atmosphere and decor are very dive-bar-y, but in a great way. And the food is better and more affordable than "nicer" places nearby. You can tell they get a lot of regulars and the service was great while being informal and friendly. I was very pleasantly surprised about how delicious the food was. Again, a not-so-well-kept secret, that I almost don't want to share because if everyone knew the awesomeness of SOHA, I'd never find a seat at the bar ;) I keep coming back to here - for the massive selection of ice cold beers, for the wide selection of happy hour foods, for the generous portions of food, for watching sports, for chit-chatting with the staff, and for having an overall great time. What originally started as stopping by to redeem 'a free beer' via the Pub Pass STL has quickly become a reoccurring instance. Every weekday there is happy hour 4-7p with half-price apps (everything but the sampler platter), half-price pizzas (large enough for 2-3 people for $6-8 only!), and $1 off draft beers. In addition, they also have a daily special that rotates (you can check on the chalk board or online I believe). Everything from industry night to burger night and more. I am so happy we stopped in! I pass this place nearly every day. We were looking for dinner after 9pm, and SoHa's kitchen is open to 11pm--on a Monday, no less. The waitress was sweet and attentive. The burgers were huge. My partner got a stuffed bacon and cheddar burger and couldn't finish his. I was craving fries, so I got the (paid) upgrade from chips to parmesan steak fries. I'm glad I did. So yummy! They have an impressive beer selection, too. My only complaint is that it was freeeeezing in there. I sat right next to the fire and kept my coat on, and I was chilly the whole time. What a great little surprise in finding SOHA! Cute little gastropub on Hampton in the South Hampton area. We tried them for Happy Hour on a Friday. They have an extensive beer and mixed drink selection. We especially enjoyed the SOHA Bloody Mary with bacon, olives, jalapeños and citron. We went for happy hour and got the corn flake chicken strips, steak fries and fried pickles. Everything was delicious. The cheese sauce that comes with the fries was absolutely phenomenal. It had a little bit of sweetness that just worked. The fried pickles which are normally our favorite part of any meal was honestly not the signature. The chicken strips were perfectly cooked and juicy on the inside. Our server was so incredibly busy but she let her personality shine through. She was efficient and friendly. I have lived near soha for a few revamps of the happy hour menu. You cannot beat the beer deals! So many craft options. Get the pretzel. Get the grain mustard. You won't regret it. I would skip the flatbreads next time. They were just meh with meh toppings. I was impressed with the patio space, although right next to Hampton, the privacy fence cut the nose to have conversation without issue. First off: this is primarily a sports bar. There are screens everywhere, and happy hour specials on game nights. Clientele is probably about 75% men, 90% white, and 95% people watching a game. SOHA also hosts weekly trivia, which draws a different crowd for a few hours each Wednesday night. Wait staff and bar staff are super friendly and hard-working. The beer list is great. Plenty of craft beer, and much of it is local. The list of on-tap and bottled/canned selections is updated weekly. The beer menu is printed and distributed to tables, and also scrolls across a screen at the bar. We're here often for a regular social gathering, so we've tried many menu items. Starting with appetizers: predictable; fried items are very greasy. The spring rolls are fried; the crispy wonton wrapping overpowers the ingredients inside. Jumbo Pretzel is ordinary; the accompanying cheese sauce is good (it comes with two sauces and we had cheese for both) but such a small amount that we finished it up less than halfway through the pretzel. Fries are very good, served hot and crispy. Wings and other "bar foods" on the appetizer menu are about as to be expected. Salads are hit and miss. The chef salad is pretty good, with generous amounts of meat and cheese. But the tuna-topped salad is pretty boring: mostly greens and tuna, with little flavor. Other foods are good on some days, and worse on others. Mac and cheese at SOHA is probably the worst I've ever had. They're pretty up-front about it being made with Velveeta and Doritos, and there's no flavor there. I don't know where the Doritos flavor went; this just tasted like mushy noodles in salty milk. And the "crazy corn" is cheesy and tasty sometimes, but other times is just kernels floating in a greasy mess that seems to have separated after hours on a burner. A tuna ahi dish, billed as tuna and vegetables over rice (I don't remember the name and it's not on the online menu) was just a bowl of bland white rice, a small chunk of fish, and a big pile of battered and fried broccoli and cauliflower. I did not expect the vegetables to be fried; it's really hard to eat healthy here! Burgers are build-your-own, and the components are all fairly good. They're a bit pricey, especially if you're tempted by the suggested combinations: the Roadhouse - 5oz burger, pulled pork, soft Cheddar, onion ring, bbq sauce - will set you back over $5 just for the toppings on your $5 5oz patty. Pizza is thin-crust, St. Louis-style. The sauce is tasty, and the cheese is not Provel, so all in all it's a safe bet. Sandwiches are decent as well. In all, I end up here because this is where my people meet. It wouldn't be my first choice in the neighborhood. If the food coming out of the kitchen was of a more consistent quality, I'd enjoy SOHA lots more. read more

We were a table of 4 tonight. Our appetizers took an hour and a half to arrive at the table . When we mentioned to the server- as she left our table she told us "thanks for being assholes." I was pretty upset. TBH I flipped her off when I saw her again - she flipped me off as retaliation. When the manager - Chris Pappadopoulos came over- he said she was having a bad night .when we said we weren't interested in a free round of drinks he said he would bring our checks and boxes for our food indicating we were were the problem and needed to leave. Fun bar and grill to come hang out at. It has an area with arcade games that look like fun. Something I really liked is they have a large beer selection. The food for me was average. I got street tacos with blackened mahi, they weren't bad but the pico de gallo that was on top was very spicy and seemed more like a chunky salsa you'd eat with chips. Although the pico de gallo was spicy and didn't really go with fish tacos the fish was good and the cole slaw was good. My boyfriend got the Dip Sandwich and that was very good, I recommend getting it. We didn't get burgers to eat but we saw some other people were eating them and they looked delicious! Will definitely be trying a burger next time I go. This bar also looks like a great place to watch sport games with all the TVs they have.
