The Garlic-Infused Extra Virgin Olive Oil and the raspberry lemonade lip balm
    Rachel B.

My husband and I stopped in here as I've been wanting to go here for a while. I loved the look of the store so much right upon entering. You can taste test the olive oils (imported from Italy) and balsamic vinegars which I really liked and this helped me narrow down and make a decision because so many sounded great. I ended up choosing the garlic olive oil. It's perfect for dipping bread in and cooking. The woman who was working was SO nice and helpful and I really appreciated her taking the time to talk to us and help me choose a flavor. She also gave ideas of ways to use each oil flavor and I can't wait to get the truffle olive oil next time! I also love how eco-friendly this store is. Once you finish your bottle, you can bring it back and refill it or recycle the bottle there which I love. The bottle also has a nice pour spout with a cover too. I definitely will be returning and trying more flavors! I highly recommend visiting this store!

Always friendly staff. There is a nice selection of olive oils and balsamic vinegar. There is also a nice variety of gifts (jams, jellies, seasonings, etc.). The store is also very clean.

Great selection of Italian olive oils and vinegars: from organic, to garlic, chili, vanilla, and everything in between. Customers are encouraged to give any oil or vinegar a sample before buying. Once you've decided, the staff fills a glass bottle for you. But it doesn't stop there, your oil or vinegar purchase also includes a handy pour insert and seal with a pretty engraved metal marker. Each bottle ends up looking like a FIVE-star treasure! Great for gifting!! Lots of delicious looking free recipes to choose from on your way out. You can't beat the personalized service you get at this store! Awesome!

My main purpose for stopping in was the bar soap as I was gifted it from my bestie and needed more. Well, this trip to Olivia Di Vita turned into us getting lost in here. Let me tell you I never thought I'd lose track of time in an olive shop... was I ever wrong. First, we were the only ones in here and wow, that was so nice. We took advantage of it and tried as many olive oils as we could stomach which was a ton. What really caught my interest and taste buds was the honey ginger balsamic water. I first looked at this like what am I about to taste? Well, a whole new world! I've been missing out my entire life and I'm officially hooked. The second snack I tried was popcorn with butter olive oil... WOW, talk about tasty and finger licking good. I had to talk some sense into myself and only leave with a small olive oil and the bar soap (remember, the entire reason I walked into this store). Mary Ida was so helpful and friendly. Yes, I'll definitely be back. Sign up for the rewards program and allow yourself time in here to browse, and have fun!

I feel like I noticed a few new things available since my last time in store including the prize pick boxes. I didn't want to carry anything around so I will have to be back for that, I love variety. And already having bought 3 full size bottles in the past including the Tuscan herb (my favorite) it really makes cooking feel elevated and more like an experience and I'd love to get more creative! Definitely recommend trying the raspberry balsamic you'll be blown away! Seriously could be used as a healthy alternative to drizzle on ice cream without compromising on sweetness or flavor.

I mean my husband and I are huge animal supporters and this lady was crazy. I just paid for my stuff and left but two days later I'm still thinking about it and feeling g hurt.

Lucky for us, pizza night was on Tuesday. This pizza was outstanding! Better than any pizza we had ever had. Delicious crust, toppings that melded together perfectly and with all this deliciousness, we added some cold beer from the bar. The setting was lovely, the band was great and the customers (mostly locals we believe) were friendly and fun. This is a must go-to restaurant when in the area. In fact, I would suggest that anyone heading towards this part of WI, make sure to hit this spot on a Tuesday in the summer! It will be worth the trip!

Keep in mind that was from a bunch of country folk who don't share my love of quality food, and to be honest I've been pizza'd to death. On a whim I went here a little over a month ago and I have back every Tue for the last 5 weeks! This is a 5 star dive bar/restaurant that I love! The place is really odd, but the food is great. In the back (as in the middle of their yard) they have a stone, wood fired pizza oven. Think of the coziness of your backyard but bigger with a dozen patio tables widely spaced under mature trees while having someone play live music. There are three tables/station one serving pizza, another meat (steaks, ribs, etc) and the third beer and wine, but no feel of commercialism at all. This has the feel of a perfect personal bbq, or of a family gathering, but serving pizza and I mean great pizza, clearly the best in Wisconsin. You get one size, I would say 16-18", for a mere $10 dollars even. My favorite is the gorgonzola and pear with caramelized onions and walnuts, on a perfect crust (insert Homer Simpson drooling sound). Followed by the sausage mushroom, made with home made sausage and marinated portabella mushrooms. They have quite a list of pizzas to choose from. The wine is $5 a glass and beer is $3.75 and they carry all the  local Wisconsin favorites (Lake Louie, Ale Asylum, Capital, New Glarus). They are not a restaurant for say but a shop, although they are open business hours the pizza is only on Tuesday 4:00pm to 8:00pm. They do other cooking events on odd days, I personally have not attended any of these due to the inconsistency that they take place. The food was so good I will make a consorted effort to attend one of the events. They do have seating inside, but no wait staff. I must mention the place is spotless, one of my pet peeves is the dirtiness of some of the independent establishments and I assure you this well taken care of. I don't think this is a financial endeavor but an act of love. Everyone is friendly and appear to know each other. Although no servers there is an army of people helping prepare food in the kitchen, which you ironically have to walk through the end of to get outside. This place is a come as you are, all are welcome place with great food, great people, and live music. What more could you ask for.... I will see you there

We went there 3 days ago and were very disappointed. The food's still good, but the service was terrible. The waitress was very nice and apologized for the slow service and said that they had more business than expected on a Thursday night. Ok, that happens. Our entrees were brought out. I was given my wife's and she received mine - no big deal but a harbinger of things to come. We ordered a small plate as an appetizer to have with our cocktails. We were half-way through our entrees when I had to ask about it. The staff didn't seem to be particularly concerned that we had our entrees half eaten and had to ask about our small plate. It finally came, by which point we didn't really want it. We left and went to Sardine for a glass of wine where the service and food are unfailingly top notch. I'm not saying I won't go back, but it is no longer on my 'go-to' list because it has now become unpredictable. It's too expensive for that.

While the dining room doesn't lend itself to a romantic evening (bar overlooking the kitchen, a few high tops and communal long tables), the rest of the experience is top notch. I stopped In for lunch and ordered the ginger fried chicken. A savory flavor bomb, the chicken was perfectly fried and moist and the brioche bun outstanding. I loved the chili crisp mayo along with the house made pickles. I was stuffed but the housemade malt gelato and brioche ice cream sammy called my name. Yes, it was rich. True, it was decadent. Valid, tons of calories. But....so so good. A must try in the land of landscape of very non-original restaurantsrestaurants that seem to be popping up in Madison.
