Very nice restaurant. Service was great and all my companions loved all their food. I enjoyed my appetizer but I ordered gluten free pasta and I do not recommend it. It was over cooked and mushy. Went during an event; however: When we got here the wait time was 45. We got seated in maybe 10 minutes. Yay. However, it went downhill from here. The server never really greeted us and forgot my drink. I think they assumed the water I had in front of me was enough? 30 minutes later our food arrived, on paper dixie plates. At least they were the sturdy ones.. I got a chicken wrap and fries. The fries tasted like the end of a store brand bag, soggy and small. The wrap, I could have made better. Actually a 5 year old probably could've. I don't think the server ever came by to ask if we needed anything. The tables drinks went empty. Lastly, they took an automatic tip. That is fine, understandable even. However $25 tip for a restaurant with paper plates, throw away silverware, poor service, food that tasted out of a frozen dinner and a waiter that never even spoke 3 words or a "thank you" is not appropriate. I will begin this review with the disclaimer that we did attend during a craft Faire and it was extremely busy. We only had to wait 20 minutes for our table - that was the highlight. After an hour of waiting for our food and no drink refills (we ordered water), we attempted to speak with our waitress. Ten minutes later, she had not returned; so we spoke with the manager. We explained our situation, and his reply was, " Can't you see we are busy?. We told him again about the hour wait to which he replied, "you need to learn patience!" Once the food arrived, it was luke warm, at best. Even though it was busy, some common courtesies would have been appreciated. They could have apologized for the delay and offered to refill our drinks. Instead, we were met with "attitudes" and arguments. I should note that many tables came in after us and were served then left before we received our food. Also, we had a diabetic with us that had a very low blood sugar because of the wait. What's happened to basic customer service? Wouldn't you want your customers to leave satisfied - at the very least? read more

The Chicken Cordon Bleu was very special, and very, very tasty. We had take-out so I can't rate the service, but I sure enjoyed my meal!

The menu didn't match the name but the quality was super. The specials the best choice and the barley veg cup of soup was worth a return just for the soup. I had an open faced sweet sausage sandwich that was perfectly smothered in an Italian sauce with green pepper. Wait the mouth watering choked me up. We dined here for a busy Mother's Day dinner. When we first walked in there was live music and in the small-ish space it was very loud. It was to the point where you couldn't hear the server and had to raise your voice to talk to the person next to you. The restaurant was also uncomfortably WARM. Service was decent but on the slow side. Funny thing about dining in Mount Dora- by 6:45pm the place was clearing out so the temperature dropped and became comfortable and the live music ended. In Orlando or Winter Park restaurants would just be getting busy, lol. We started with an app of fried mozzarella ($9) which consisted of three half circles on fried mozzarella and sauce. For what you got it was over priced. Bread was brought to the table and salads served. My Cesar salad was decent but nothing amazing or unique. I ordered the chicken frainchaise ($23) which had a lovely flavor but was too heavy on the sauce. Portions were large so I was able to get two meals out of it. One of our friends said his lasagna ($18) was fantastic... and that he has a high standard when it comes to lasagna. I tried the shrimp and scallop pesto ($28) and the scallops were a nice size but flavor was lacking. Kids meals were pretty large and came with drink and ice cream dessert. Too bad they won't let you sub out fries for something healthier. Still for $9 it was the best deal on the menu! We finished up with a trio of mini cannoli ($7.50) which were just ok... I wouldn't order them again. The filling wasn't sweet enough and since they are the mini version you get more shell than anything. read more

Our experience with this restaurant was mediocre at best. Cute place but the food and service were both unacceptable. My French Onion soup was served warm, not hot, full of bread and not much soup. The stuffed tomato with breaded dark chicken was also full of bread crumbs and not much chicken. Both were very disappointing. Our sever Tiffany was attentive but she had no clue to clear the dirty dishes off of the tiny table while we enjoyed the last of our cocktails. I had to ask her to do so, which she seemed a little taken aback by?!? We will not be back, nor will we recommend this place to anyone. read more

We went for the rehearsal dinner for my friend's wedding. We called ahead so they knew we were coming. We arrived early and they were prepared for us already which was great. The service was really good and all the waiters were polite. We had a limited menu because we were a large group, but there were plenty of options. I ordered the chicken parm which came with a side of penne paste. It was only okay. The sauce was not really good. It tasted like it came out of a can and they just added a little wine. I would give no stars if possible. The food was disturbingly bad. I don't know if they were having an off day because Mother's Day, and I was surprised to check the yelp and see largely positive reviews, but the presentation and taste of the food was disgusting. I wish I took pictures. I didn't want to make a fuss because it was Mother's Day and I wanted to maintain harmony for my parents, but I wanted to tell them on the spot how ashamed they should have been to serve that food. My gyro looked like a child wrapped it, was ice cold with no flavor at all, and without exaggeration they gave me about 10 fries. My dads burger had zero seasoning and he barely touched it. The salmon had zero seasoning and the spring mix lettuce was wilted and nasty. I'll say it here and I'm going to call you when you open today to repeat myself: shame on you. read more

I ordered the gyro salad and my husband the clam chowder. The salad was fabulous! Thick slices of gyro meat grilled and juicy. Generous feta and olives. The soup was a tad spicy but delicious. Update to our earlier review. EVERY time, and I mean every time, we have been to the Olive Branch we have had a GREAT experience. Food was AMAZING as always and the drinks were fantastic. Staff is wonderful and accommodating. Who would of thought to put a frozen Sangria pop into a Moscow mule?!? Amazing and unusual combination. This was a fantastic dinner. Brad our server was great, the wine selection was on point and our pastas shocked us. Coming from NY we were looking for a really good dinner and I hate to say it but I have high expectations. The rigatoni carbonara was amazing! I haven't had a pasta that good in a while and my significant other had the fettuccine Alfredo. Also very good. The prices are reasonable and the salad that comes with the meal is delicious too. We dined here on a Friday night and sat outside. The patio seating is comfortable, and there is a lot of it, and there was a live band playing music. The restaurant has a great ambiance outside complete with a white picket fence and is casual. I got the chicken piccata, while my husband got the veal marsala. Both were very good and substantial portions. There is a small dinner salad-either house or Mediterranean included with most entrees. The food is good but not exceptional, while the service was polished and accommodating. Pricing was a little high on entrees, while happy hour included house drinks for three dollars. Stopped in for a quick bite to eat. for lunch. I read a few menus around town and this one was the best priced. Also the nicest looking with the most room to spread out. My husband had his usual burger (very boring palate) and I had the Gyro with salad. Visiting Mount Dora we wandered into this restaurant. So glad we did. The weather was lovely so we opted to sit outside on the patio. A musician started at 6:00 pm with easy listening/soft rock songs adding a pleasant ambiance. We were celebrating and both requested surf and turf meal. Unfortunately, the truck didn't arrive and there was only one lobster tail. Not the restaurants fault, just disappointing. So I ordered the petite filet with a side of shrimp as suggested by our waiter. The shrimp and my husband's lobster tail were good, but the filet mignon was outstanding. Cooked to order, delicious flavor, and melted in our mouths. Sides were tasty. Good wine selection. Our waiter was attentive and accommodating. After shopping at the new FYI Creations, we asked the owner for a good place to eat locally and he recommended this restaurant. What a quaint little establishment located right down town Mt Dora with easy on street parking or a free parking lot across the street. Our server was Sara and she was very personable. We came in with a party of six and was immediately seated without a reservation. There was live music by a very talented young man. The food was absolute perfection from my reasonable priced eggplant to my husbands veil shank. The appetizers were very tasty. Would highly recommend visiting. read more

We love everything about this restaurant and have always had great food and great service! However, the last two times we've been there, I get the spinach pie. I used to love it here and the generous portion. But they've changed up the recipe and now it's more like a flat dry cracker than spinach pie. The pie part is way too crunchy, not filo dough at all, and the spinach is terribly dried out. And no feta cheese? Such a contrast to what used to be a really tasty dish. Please bring back the original spinach pie, or change the menu name to dry spinach cracker. read more

If I could give them a zero I would give them a zero. It started when our party of 6 walked in with almost no one in the restaurant. The host, Jeff, wasn't welcoming at all when he greeted us or sat us. We sat at our table for a long while before the waitress came and asked about drinks. We ordered drinks and appetizers first and when she brought out one appetizer to share she didn't bring any plates. We ordered our main meal and waited, and waited and waited. The entire hour long wait resulted in her coming back to check on us or give us an update ZERO times. The party of 4 next to us left after no one bothered to even come to them at all after being seated. I asked Jeff to get our waitress and she still didn't come. He said they were slammed but didn't apologize; he just said "it's coming." It wasn't coming. After an hour wait we had enough. I said I wanted to pay for our drinks and appetizer and leave that this was absolutely ridiculous. I was following Jeff towards the front to pay and he stopped short and my hands with my wallet in had hit his arm. He snaps at me "excuse me! You got me!" I said you stopped short, I wasn't trying to hit you. I asked to pay, the other waitress can't find our bill. She finally brings me the bill and charges me for the whole meal!!!! I said "no, I'm only paying for what we had." Then she has to get me a refund (which won't reflect on my card for who knows how long) and now charged me again for the drinks and appetizer instead of just issuing me a refund for the difference. This is how incredibly stupid these people are. I complained and said I was going to give them a poor review at which point Jeff says "I never want to see you in here again!" I said "don't worry." INCREDIBLY RUDE AND DISRESPECTFUL. Absolutely ZERO customer service skills and still not one single apology, not one. While I was paying, our waitress came up to the bar and she didn't even look at me. Not one word from her. I don't know if this is the kind of treatment you want when you go out but I found it to be beyond anything remotely acceptable. Disgusting. They're appetizer was also something you could get at any chain restaurant. Please save yourself the headache and don't go here; there are tons of great restaurants in the area. We're at Copacabana now and so far so good! read more

Mount Dora Art Festival weekend. Server did not come back to check on our drink refills. Asked for ranch dressing when he delivered the food, and he did not come back after that until we tracked down our check. Food was served on paper plates and plastic utensils. I have had better Mediterranean food from a food truck. Waited for our check to the point of asking for our check from what I thought was a manager cleaning off tables, to hearing him say I needed to ask my server for the check. Duh! I couldn't find my server, that's why I asked, hoping he could find him. Finally asked a busser to find him. This guy was the only helpful person in the restaurant! Thank you. To top things off, we get home and my husband is sick to his stomach and running to the bathroom. He never takes pills but had to take an anti nausea medication to take the edge off.
