Fantastic dinner! We were fans of the Pier House years ago in Cape May and when a friend told us the owners had opened the Olive Branch we had to make the trip. I grew up on Greek food and it's my favorite. I ordered the chicken souvlaki with rice pilaf and a Greek salad and pita. The souvlaki didn't have enough flavor and the lemon dominated. I know we Greeks use a lot of lemon in our cooking but I've honestly had better. The rice pilaf tasted like lemon rice. It was missing something... The pita had sea salt on it and it tasted ok but there's really no need to add sea salt to pita. The food was ok but overpriced in my opinion read more

Still a terrific restaurant. The watermelon salad is just wonderful. The pork kebabs are tender , on a bed of rice with spinach and zucchini and yellow squash. Sorry no leftovers. A great night for all of us. My friends had short ribs , and chicken kebabs . Short ribs down to the white bones , very good. Chicken was a little dry, but totally eaten. This is one of the best lamb shank i had in a while. This was a pickup so can't talk much about the service.

While the appetizers were fantastic, the entrees okay, during the Covid crisis the staff should be following the CDC and New Jersey guidelines for Covid-19. The servers had their masks on below their nose and mouth. We were served paper menus checks in a leather billfold. While we enjoyed the food, I wont be back until their staff can adhere to the rules. read more

We ate at the Olive Branch in Villas on a Thursday evening in March 2024. The restaurant has a Greek style cooking. The food is very good, lots of fresh fish well cooked. Service was attentive but not overwhelming. All in all, I enjoyed the experience and recommend this restaurant. read more

I have eaten here twice and love their food. It is delicious! You get fresh hot bread and hummus and there is olive oil, a pepper grinder and salt on your table. A person can fill up on the rustic bread alone. Dishes are quite large. Their Greek salads and watermelon and feta salad with honey and walnuts is the best I've had. Their entrees are very big and so, so delectable. Appetizers are yummy. You definitely should eat here. You won't be disappointed. read more

Just happened upon the this gem while on vacation in Cape May. It was very close to our rental and we didnt feel like going all the way into town. The service was terrific and the food delicious. My sister got the Branzino which was perfectly cooked as were the succulent lamb chops. Although it's BYO, there's a liquor store right across the street. Lovely casual atmosphere. I thank my lucky stars that I live a five minute drive away from this wonderful place. The Olive Branch, run by the same team that used to run the kitchen at the Pier House, opened earlier this year, and they have been KILLING IT out here. I didn't know pita bread could taste that good. The watermelon salad is incredible. And it's the only place I ever get lamb anymore. This is a wonderful, upscale Greek restaurant. This is family-owned and the ingredients are very fresh. I went with several friends to this BYOB establishment, and was pleasantly surprised. Our server was very knowledgeable, and they made every attempt to honor the requests for one of the group who is vegan. I had the amazing lamb chops. Memorable. It's pretty pricey, but this is near the shore after all so it is expected. I would definitely go back! Kudos. read more

The food was delicious! Definitely 4.5 stars (but can't give half stars on Yelp.) We ordered several appetizers, but there were a few things that kept me from giving 5 stars. The chicken wings and ribs needed just a little more flavor (salt/seasoning), the sauce for the mussels was delicious, but the mussels themselves were tiny and not filling. Aside from that, the keftedes (meatballs), rice pilaf, lemon potatoes, mad greek "horiatiki" salad, pita bread, tzatziki, tyrokafteri dip, kalamari and octopus were awesome. Discovered this wonderful restaurant tonight and couldn't be happier with our food. We got take out, called around 5:30 on a Thursday and our order was ready in less than 30 minutes. We got the spinach and feta dip, the eggplant dip, chicken kabob, and swordfish kabob. All of which I would highly recommend!! Everything was perfectly cooked, the pitas were lightly grilled to perfection. I could have eaten just the dips with pita and been totally satisfied, but the kabobs were wonderful too; they came with rice and veggies which were so fresh and tasty. The staff was also very nice! Beautiful looking outdoor area, too. Overall, just a great experience. read more

Honored to be the FIRST review of this great new restaurant in the Villas! Started with apps: Octopus, Greek Salad, Chicken Soup, Meatballs and Spinach Dip. Starting with the Octopus, let's throw shade at established Cape May restaurants, Olive Branch has the BEST octopus in Cape May! Go pay double in Cape May proper, or just come here, you'll thank me. The Greek Salad was super fresh, not too salty, which is a testament to decent feta, perhaps a little too oily, but great balance of flavors, crispy cukes and even if it isn't quite the season for tomatoes, they were nice and sweet and crispy. Spinach Dip, not greasy and super decadent when spread on the fried pita that it comes with. The meatball app was probably the least impressive, a little dry, but still great and with a nice minty taste and a great homemade tzatiki. Oh, the complimentary pita and hummus, excellent. More rustic than Phillys famous Zahav, but with all the flavor and the pitas thin and has a nice crunch. The chicken soup was something I'd never had before and I'll definitely get it again. A great creamy broth, tender chicken and a fresh lemony aftertaste. The entrees: lamb shank and the shrimp. The shank was perfectly slow cooked for a fall off the bone, clean off the bone, bite. The marrow in the bones was a great salty, buttery sauce to mix with the perfectly cooked pilaf. The shrimp was fresh and delicious, very generous portioned, as was the lamb, just not as exciting, but super solid for the average shrimp lover. Probably the dish your least adventurous eater would love (every place needs a safety dish). This is really solid Greek Comfort food. Whoever is in the kitchen here has had plenty of practice sending out consistently good food. We're stoked to add this restaurant to the growing list of unpretentious eateries, not in, but around, Cape May. read more

Our main courses were made from quality food, and deliciously prepared. They were whole Bronzio, and Filet Kabob. The items they made were some of the best I've ever eaten: Humous, Tzatziki, stuffed grape leaves. rice pudding and Baklava. The resultant is nice, shore casual. Service was excellent, and we had a most enjoyable dinner at prices reasonable for the quality. The Olive Branch is over an hour from my home and it is now on my list of restaurants I will travel to. read more

We drove past it a few times during the day time and didn't give it much notice, but then drove past in the evening and saw it nicely lit up with quite a few full tables so we decided to stop in for dinner. Very nice menu with options for everyone. We got the Chop Mad Greek Salad and the Beet + Roka salad, both of which were fresh and plentiful. Loved the olives in the Mad Greek. I got the shrimp saganaki which was delicious! Lots of plump shrimp and the rice pilaf was exceptionally good. My bf got the filet mignon kebobs which were sadly very well-done - not a bit of pink and very dry - otherwise I would have given 5 stars. The service doesn't quite live up to the price point, but I understand that everyone is short-staffed - the waitress was friendly but not attentive. The octopus was absolutely incredible. We also had the calamari which was better than most restaurants, but the octopus just so overshadowed it. Pork tenderloin kebabs and lamb chops made our great meal complete. The Baklava was just like crack... according to my son. read more
