Olive Garden isn't a bad place to eat -- it can be a bit hit or miss at times, but you really can't beat their endless salad or soup deal when you come here. Depending on when you visit, the wait can get pretty long, so I recommend using the Olive Garden app to get on the waiting list ahead of time. It definitely helps cut down the wait. I've been to this location more times than I can count, and overall, I don't have any major complaints. There's plenty of parking around the restaurant, and if the wait is too long, there are several other spots to eat within just a few minutes' drive. On our most recent visit, I ordered the classic spaghetti and meatballs. I did have to send the first plate back because the pasta wasn't cooked right, but the staff handled it quickly and brought out a new plate that was spot-on. My wife had the shrimp alfredo with soup on the side, which she really enjoyed, and I went with the salad (always a solid choice). They usually have about four soups to pick from, so there's something for everyone. You can't complain about the staff -- they're very hard-working people who really try to make your experience a nice one. My Mom, cousin, and I hadn't had Olive Garden in awhile and were craving it. As we were walking in a hostess opened the door for us which was very nice. When we walked up to the actual host stand we weren't really acknowledged by anyone and it was a little awkward. We were seated and I didn't realize my menu was dirty until it was no longer needed, which was a little gross. There wasn't anyone in there really so the food came pretty quickly. My cousin and I both got the chicken alfredo and it was good. My Mom got the shrimp scampi and her food wasn't very hot, which put her off a bit. However, our waitress Shelby great! On a business trip to Brandon, FL, my daughter and I finished our chores at noon and were ready to return to our home in Sun City Center when we spotted an Garden Olive Garden Restaurant. "Lets do lunch" she said as I pulled into the parking lot. From the number of cars in the lot I assumed we would be in for a long wait. Much to our surprise, as we walked in the door we were greeted warmly and escorted to our table. Our lunch was a Five Star experience. True to form, the hallmark breadsticks and salad were a great start to the meals we ordered but the customer service rendered by Shelby, made our lunch a memorable experience. Her explanation of the meals we ordered were on the mark. Her service and utter courtesy, explained why this large eating establishment had wall to wall diners. Management at this Olive Garden must have instilled the importance of customer service to the staff who seemed able to serve a full house while making you feel like you are the only table they have been assigned. They even had a fine selection of wine. When one of the managers named Drew stopped to inquire about how our dining experience was, we certainly gave him many accolades for our visit. I haven't been to an Olive Garden in years. I had a long day and just wanted to finally chillax and have dinner. I ordered a Spinach and Artichoke Dip and Fettuccine Alfredo. My appetizer and meal were brought out at the same time. Halfway through eating my waiter suggested he bring out to go boxes for me. I was never offered more breadsticks which I would have liked for my Spinach and Artichoke Dip. I was never offered a refill on my tea. I guess my server was getting close to the end of his shift because he mentioned having a long drive home in the pouring rain, which is why I'm assuming he was rushing me so he could close out my bill. I had to pay with their ridiculous kiosk which charged me for some game. I never ordered a game or played any games. Not happy about paying an extra $3.00 for that nonsense. Last time I visit this location was 2 years ago. A lot of things have changed because this last visit was terrible. I went with Mt girlfriend. There plenty of seats available but took few minutes for us to get a table. After that we waited approximately 10 to 15 minutes and nobody took our order. Olive Garden will forever be that comforting, reliable go-to. It's been a favorite of mine since I was a little girl, so bringing my son with me this time made it feel extra special. It is essential to order the Alfredo sauce for the breadsticks. Might as well right?! Usually I switch up my soup choice, but this time I went with the chicken gnocchi. While I'm not a huge fan of the chicken they use for it, I love the creamy broth and always end up dipping my breadstick--highly recommend. I was torn between the classic chicken Alfredo and the chicken Marsala, but ended up going with the Marsala and I have absolutely no regrets! It was flavorful, savory, and satisfying. And for the cherry on top--I had the strawberry limoncello margarita. Light, fruity, and so refreshing with pieces of strawberries in it. It's been a little less than a year since I've been to Olive Garden and I was craving the beef tortellini so we decided to go. We were seated first in a booth and then was told that our server wanted to move us into another room to a table with no booth available even though there were plenty. That was a strange move. Looked at the menu, no need tortellini in sight, just the chicken. I thought I was mistaken but the server confirmed with me that it is no longer on the menu. I couldn't believe it, why the menu change?! So I went with the chicken Alfredo with the chicken being crispy and there was NOT enough sauce so my pasta was dry, servers barely came and most of them were on their phones. Horrible experience and definitely not worth the trip to Olive Garden ever again. Carpet smells and still noisy, I would not return. Nothing is worth it there anymore. read more

I stopped in as I was in the neighborhood and wow! This location was packed. People were waiting inside and outside. I requested a table for 2 and was given a wait time. It was very accurate. When I was seated, the server was super friendly. She must have been slammed and having a busy day but she never let it show. I can definitely appreciate her great service throughout our lunch. I give it 4 stars because I saw majority of the servers leaving tables and trays in the middle of walkways. However, I saw one outstanding server named Jose who we are grateful that was able to serve us tonight. He went above and beyond and was even helping out other servers by cleaning up after them, picking up their tables and trays, and even greeting other parties that weren't even in his section! Every single drink came out one at a time, about 15 minutes apart, and with a table of 7, you can imagine that takes forever. Then the breadsticks which are usually amazing, were rather dry and cold. Stopped in the other night for a simple dinner with my kids. Their choice so I obliged. Both of my kids ordered off the kids menu - they ordered spaghetti with meat sauce and Alfredo (both with a side of grapes). They absolutely devoured their food and the grapes. They demolished the breadstick basket, and my daughter even helped herself to a plate of salad that I ordered. I stuck with the soup and salad for dinner. Olive Garden is what it is. "Italian" fare in a global chain atmosphere that makes for a good meal when you don't know what else to get. My wife and I ventured here for dinner. Our original plans were to get mall Chinese food but then figured Olive Garden sounded decent and we would feel better about that meal. We only ever order one thing when we go to Olive Garden. Soup, Salad, and breadsticks. This meal is what I consider to be the heart and soul of Olive Garden. Everyone knows their breadsticks are great and their salad is satisfactory as well. We arrived around 5:30 pm, a little early for a dinner. Not only is this area of Brandon a nightmare for traffic but everything tends to be super busy. Surprisingly, there was no wait for our party of 2. We were seated immediately. This place was by no means slow. The place was bustling and servers were running everywhere. Our server was around quick and got us started on drinks. I ordered a soda and while the flavor was there, the carbonation pretty much wasn't. Partially flat but not the worst. I never asked for a replacement. Our server was friendly and welcoming. We were a simple table since we both ordered the same exact thing. The salad and soup came out first. The salad was portioned well to have enough for two servings in it. The typical iceberg lettuce, a few tomatoes, and a few olives and well covered in their signature dressing. The soups were decent. The chicken and gnocchi soup had good chunks of chicken and soft, doughy gnocchi. If only this had been hot, the lukewarm temperature was ok but likely the last of what was left in the soup bin. The breadsticks came out and were piping hot and fresh. They had ample seasoning on top. Soft and lightly browned. Simple but enjoyable. My wife and I had two rounds of everything. Two salads, two bowls of soup, and two baskets of bread. On my second bowl of soup, I asked to switch it up and try the Zuppa Toscana. This spicy soup with sausage in it is another decent one on the list. Unfortunately, I was brought out another bowl of chicken and gnocchi. The server realized it but never offered to switch it out or correct the situation. She just said sorry almost insinuating that tough luck, I'm stuck with this one. At least this one was hot this time. This location, like any location of Olive Garden, is likely the same. A chain restaurant with adequate service and semi-reliable food options that could be good or disappointing. In the end, my wife and I left satisfied with our meal and will be back whenever the soup, salad, and breadstick craving hits again. read more
