Stopped in for la late lunch today. Melissa was our server a the visit was great. Melissa was on top of everything, kept our drinks full, and brought extra bread. The pastas was excellent, hot, and with extra sauce provided. I do like OG's meat sauce!

This review might be hard to write. On 7.9.23, we came here for dinner. Once we were seated, I went to use the restroom. Let's just say the way I found it was not suitable for use. I immediately walked out and notified a server to advise a manager. He apologized multiple times, but the person he sent did a half a clean-up job, and what I found earlier on the floor in the handicap stall could still be seen. I ordered the sirloin and fettuccine, and hubby ordered the soup and salad. Food and service were decent.

Haven't been to Olive Garden in years but decided to give it a try since they have been trending online lately, I always pick the salad to start I should have requested more salad dressing but the salad was crisp and fresh the breadsticks were i good , I picked the tour of Italy because I couldn't decide the lasagna was my favorite, my daughter had cheese pizza and a side of pasta, our waitress was very friendly parking lot wasn't that busy for a Saturday

Bar

Bar area was a complete mess with piles of dishes on the bar. Bartender was super busy but not her fault; disheartening as her coworkers stood by stuffing her face with fries in my face at the soda station, and her manager was too busy talking about Progressive car insurance with her staff. Ordered a double jack n coke, definitely wasn't a double, maybe a half. Got the side salad but had to grate my own cheese. My wife ordered a margarita, could've sworn they were supposed to be shaken, NOT stirred. Hopefully it's just this location that has gone downhill

I went for a birthday celebration. I ordered the chicken and shrimp caraborana. It was good and filling. It was so much, I had to take the rest home. Also, I had a mango strawberry (or raspberry) iced tea. I didn't really like it. So I got Peach iced tea which was good. As a starter, they serve you as much bread and salad you want for free. Both are good. The server was great. They would check on us to see if we were ok and if we needed anything. It wasn't crowded in the restaurant. The restaurant was nice inside. It was a little cold at one point.

Stopped in for a solo lunch during the week. Ordered off of the Lunch Menu Chicken Parm : A classic with our homemade marinara and a side of spaghetti. - So good. The chicken was crispy. Moist. Spaghetti was fresh. I ate the entire plate Breadsticks : hot and filling Salad: Always good! Margarita drink: I can't think of the name but it also came with a shot. Slight lush after one. Yummy! I had the best waiter ever, I wish I could remember his name so he could get a raise!

A couple coworkers and I visited for lunch on Friday for our supervisors final day before retirement. The server we had was super friendly and attentive. We all devoured a ton of salad and had lunch entrees. Our order was accurate and he kept our drinks filled the entire time. I arrived a few minutes early to request a dessert with a candle which he brought out at the perfect time after our meal. All of the food was fresh and delicious. Thanks for the great service!

We were greeted and QUICKLY seated as a table of 8 with no reservations though I'm not sure if they took. But it was a last minute decision to celebrate my daughter's bday at Olive Garden. The waitress did a great job remembering all the orders. She checked on us many times, along with the manager. They sang happy birthday, which put a big smile on her face. The food was delicious. It wasn't bland or too salty. I really liked how they provided us the table slightly off to the side, kind of like a room but not enclosed. Not sure if they seated us there because we mainly had kids (though they're well behaved) but I liked it. I would definitely visit this location.

The service was phenomenal. Our waitress was extremely attentive and made sure that we were taken care of even though it seemed that the restaurant was short staffed abd she was juggling quiet a few tables. We didn't have to wait too long and we really enjoyed the food.

So: I passionately enjoyed my dinner at Mamma Roma. The reason that this is unusual is because I'm…read morenot big on going out for Italian food much at restaurants - other than on holidays - since I eat so much Italian food at home. I can make an exception for more casual Italian meals at only a handful of Italian restaurants, and Mamma Roma's is now one. Growing up partially Italian, and a mix of other ethnicities, my family cooks Italian better, of course, than at any restaurant. No one made better Italian dinners than my Na-na (grandmother). But Momma Roma's hummus cream rigatoni could definitely keep me coming back for more. No one made better meatballs than my Mom but the meatballs at Mamma Roma's are flavorful enough. No one made better sauce than my Aunt #1 but the sauce on Momma Roma's ravioli was good and so fresh. And no one made better cookies than my Aunt #2, but Momma Roma's cannolis and rum cookies are tasty. There are a lot of Italian restaurants in the area and I've read that Mamma Roma's is one of, if not, the best. I can only say that while my first visit here a decade ago was fine, this visit goes into my memory as "need to get back there, eventually, if not sooner," after delighting in their new menu item: a creamy hummus rigatoni with sausage. I love hummus, though wasn't really sure if the texture of hummus sauce would be too gritty. It was not. It had a lovely, substantial flavor and silky texture that was balanced well by the impeccably-cooked al dente rigatoni. Add to that the garlic, cream, sausage and herbs in this dish and you've got a winner. I highly recommend this rigatoni, of the 3 rigatoni entrees on Mamma Roma's menu. I haven't even tried the other rigatoni dishes, but still ... don't miss this creamy, garlicky hummus dinner. And the portions of rigatoni in this dish were very generous. The presentation of the lasagna was impressive, in layering and shape. I only had a bite. It had a nice flavor, but I would have needed more bites to give a better description. And since it wasn't my order, I could not indulge. The portion was generous. Also, I would never order lasagna from any restaurant given the reasons cited earlier, but this one was good. I hope someone is laughing because anyone who has grown up in a subcultural group in the US usually sounds exactly like me about the home-cooking they grew up on. Another of Mamma Roma's menu items I'd like to try is their corn and arugula white pizza. I've only found one lovely corn pizza ever at Zelo's in an LA suburb, so now that I have seen this on their menu my curiosity is piqued. Love love love the variety of the dessert menu options. It's not just the desserts in the case on display that you can order. While there are gorgeous cookies on display, the dessert menu has a long, lovely list of all kinds of variations of cheesecakes and cakes. I would like to try the lemon cake on a return visit. And more of the cookie flavors! When I asked the barista what the top desserts were, he was quick to name the cannoli as a first. You'd probably be surprised to find out that this is a counter service approach: you order and pay up at the front and the waiter brings you your food and whatever else you need. You get your own fountain drinks or tea with ice. You can tip in advance, in good faith, when you order in the beginning or you can leave cash on the table at the end of the meal, having already paid your bill in the beginning. There is also the charming dessert counter/bar and espresso area that I mentioned earlier. So, when you are finished with your lunch or dinner, you can go to the barista's counter and order dessert and cappuccino. I love that if you order cake or a cannoli, a cappuccino is only $2. This is an awesome value especially for the evening crowd. For old school Anne Arundel county and Annapolis locals, Mamma Roma's is better than the original Squisito's pizza -- and higher in quality -- but it is a bit reminiscent of that restaurant in terms of popularity and a family feel. Plus, I have never tried the pizza here, but I'm guessing it's good given the quality of the ingredients and preparations we experienced with the pasta dishes. One thing that also really stands out about Mamma Roma's is that they are the only Italian restaurant that is nestled back in the suburban Piney Orchard division of Gambrills. In other words, it's more neighborly there vs. other restaurants along the majorly-trafficked Route 3 corridor. The restaurants along Route 3 have many more transients coming in, given the ease of access, so they are naturally less neighborly. Finally, when we brought our leftovers from dinner home I set them on the kitchen table and left them for a bit. When I came back into our kitchen, it was filled with such delicious aromas! Friends, this is just how fresh the food at Mamma Roma's is. For a casual, counter service suburban, it is quite bellissima!

I haven't tried their pizza, but it looks great. Their service is always top notch, along with very fair pricing and great portions. They have online ordering, which helps me out alot as I work nearby. I haven't actually dined inside yet, I live about an hour away, but I can imagine the service will be just as good. I walked…read morein expecting "good for a strip-mall spot" and walked out low‑key mad that I've wasted this many years on chain pizza. The crust is where it all starts: that thin New York style with just enough flop to prove it's legit, but a crisp bite at the edge that actually fights back a little. The sauce tastes bright and fresh, not sugary, and the cheese hits that perfect zone where it stretches, melts, and doesn't drown the slice in grease. Throw on pepperoni or sausage and it's game over. The vibe is classic neighborhood joint--nothing fancy, just people who clearly care about what's coming out of the oven. The crew is friendly, quick, and they've somehow never once messed up my order, even when I'm being extra about toppings. If you're anywhere near Severn and still defaulting to Pizza Hut or Domino's, I genuinely feel bad for you. Gianni's is the kind of place you recommend to friends "with your whole chest" and then feel weirdly proud when they text you mid-slice saying, "Okay, you were right." 8.9 on the Dave Portnoy's scale for me. From the moment we walked in, the service was amazing. Maria (I believe that was her name) was our waitress, and she was incredible--so warm, attentive, and professional. Another staff member was just as great, constantly clearing our table, removing empty dishes, and refilling our water without us even having to ask. The young lady who brought out our food had the sweetest smile and greeted us so kindly. When I mentioned I didn't really care for the rice balls, they immediately took them back and removed them from our bill--no hesitation. That level of customer care definitely stood out. The space itself is beautiful--very spacious with a great vibe. I loved the ambiance and would absolutely come back. I believe they also have outdoor seating, which I'd love to try next time. The decor accents are upscale and the dining room was SO crowded on a Sunday night - I didn't see one empty seat in the house! Booking a reservation is a must. They had live music and every member of the wait staff seemed polite, professional, and well put together. The restaurant does get fairly loud with all of the guests though. I tried the sorrel and it was spot on, very gingery and a touch on the sweet side. My family members and I also tried the Rasta pasta, the oxtail lasagna and the Ital Pot entrees. The entrees are a bit on the pricier side, but for most things, the portions are good. I'm a Caribbean who does not enjoy spicy food so I opted for the mild Rasta pasta but I think I could have upped it to the medium spice level - the mild was very creamy and cheesy, but lacked a bit of that signature jerk flavor. The oxtail lasagna was very cheesy and rich with a good amount of oxtail in between the layers, but I wish that the Jamaican flavors were more pronounced in this as well. I didn't try the Ital Pot personally, but the salmon that it came with was cooked to perfection.

My cousin and his girlfriend showed up shortly after and someone came to pour water. They let you know as soon as you're seated that there is a 90 minute time limit for the table and it starts as soon as the waitress arrives. We ordered lemon pepper wings, codfish fritters and jerk chicken bruschetta for appetizers. The wings were delicious and hot out of the oven. The fritters were good, but thin, and didn't have much saltfish in it. The bruschetta was nothing to write home about. For entrees we got jerk salmon, jerk chicken, oxtail lasagna, lambchops and 2 orders of braised short ribs. 2 people received their food at least 10 minutes before everyone else. If you're going to impose a time limit, your kitchen and wait staff need to be on point, or the timer shouldn't start until after everyone receives their food. The jerk salmon was very well cooked, but hardly seasoned. The oxtail lasagna was like regular lasagna, but instead of ground beef, they used oxtail and it had bechamel sauce instead of marinara. It was also very cheesy. It wasn't bad, but at $36 I would have expected more. The lambchops were out of this world. Very well seasoned and the gravy was finger licking good, but you only get 3 per order. My cousin didn't let me try his jerk chicken, but he said it wasn't bad. To note, a lot of reviews said the rice and peas weren't good, but we must've came on a good rice day because our rice was good. For dessert we got bread pudding, rass prince, tiramisu and flour-less chocolate cake. The chocolate cake was too thick and the texture of the mousse in the rass prince wasn't that great. The tiramisu and bread pudding were good though. This was the first time I've been to a restaurant where the waitress didn't come back to check on us mid meal. No one could order a second drink and we had to ask a random person passing about getting our water refilled. The manager came by before dessert to ask how was dinner and we had to ask him for water (since it still wasn't filled) and for a dessert menu. At their price point, I would expect better service, but since 18% gratuity (and 20% for parties bigger than 6) is automatically added there isn't any incentive for the wait staff to do better.
