I've been to this Olive Garden a couple of times I'm surprised I never reviewed them. While I understand the low stars I would give this location a try again if you haven't been here in some time. In the past I have not been a fan of this location but I have to say this time around it was a big improvement. The staff were all very nice, helpful and efficient. I wish I would've asked our server for her name again because she was super helpful and sweet. The energy the workers had made our experience enjoyable. Everything was well prepared. I had a horrible experience yesterday. When I arrived at 802pm, I asked for a table one. There were two ladies at the host desk. When I left, I learned that one of the ladies was the manager, Celine Guzman. I was told that there was open spaces at the bar which would be quicker before even being told how long a table would be. Neither of the ladies bothered to check if there was vacancies at the bar before they sent me there. The bar was completely packed except for one chair in the middle between two large men that would make it uncomfortable to eat as there was barely space between them. There was a man waiting for 2 space at the bar. The hostess sent three more guys to the bar, again without checking if there was space. After 10 minutes of waiting, I walked back to the hostess and asked to be placed on the waitlist for a table and was told it'll take 20 minutes and I said fine. I pointed out to the hostess that there were two vacant tables that have been sitting there for over 10 minutes while I was waiting at the bar and are still vacant. She stated OK and did not call anybody to be seated there. I was seated at 8:23 PM at table 604. I had the loveliest waitress named Christine. I ordered a Long Island iced tea, the fried mozzarella appetizer, and the chicken fettuccine Alfredo. Christine kept checking up on me and when she realized order was taking too long, she apologized and stated they have to change out the oil from the fryer. I waited over an hour to eat and lost my appetite. Christine was amazing and I apologetic the entire time and appeared embarrassed that I had to wait so long, so there's definitely no complaint against her at all. I told Christine I didn't want the food anymore and asked for the check. She closed out my tab at 9:14pm. As I was leaving, I asked for the manager and Celine Gomez identified herself as the manager & only apologized. She didn't offer to refund me my $21.55 nor at least offer a dessert to go. Olive Garden Italian Restaurant in the Cross County Mall, Yonkers is a great place to go eat before or after you go shopping in the mall or taking in a movie. It also conveniently borders with the Bronx & a nice drive up. The place is very large, bright & nicely decorated with an Italian flare. It's great for two or large groups & families, especially on birthdays. It's always crowded & upbeat & there might be a bit of a wait to get seated, but you can always go sit at the bar & enjoy a cocktail or refreshment. The staff is extremely accommodating & quick but endlessly busy. There's endless breadsticks & delicious salad & I love the creamy gnocchi pasta soup. I had never been to an Olive Garden before, but there's a first time for everything! I came here for dinner with my friend on a Monday night. It was pretty busy, but we were seated right away. Our waitress was really kind and immediately got us started with the never-ending breadsticks and salad. The breadsticks were warm, soft, and salty (in a good way), and the salad, despite being a bit overdressed, was delicious. We shared an order of calamari and spaghetti and meatballs. We were originally going to order spaghetti with meat sauce and sausage, but they were out of sausage. The calamari were quite small, but good. The meatballs were very tender and the sauce was good; the pasta was a bit overcooked, but it was expected. I got there and it was very crowded. There was a 30 minute wait time. However, we waited about 15 minutes. The serve came and took my order pretty quickly, which was nice. I ordered a cocktail and the tour of Italy. Which consist of Lasagna , Chicken Parmigiana, and Fettuccine Alfredo The food was so so. The portions were huge good for sharing, but too salty for my liking. This is a family style restaurant, so there's a lot going on. This is the best OG I have been to so far....the food is fresh and delish (could have been a little hotter) but the highlight of my last experience there was our server Shi. OMG he was THE BEST!!! Stopped into the Olive Garden in Yonkers around 8:30 PM after a flight, just looking for a quick, comforting dinner. It was about an hour and a half before closing, but the place was still busy and clearly understaffed. We waited 15 minutes to be seated, and another 10 before anyone came by to take our order. It looked like one poor waitress was handling nearly every table - she was clearly overwhelmed, but still warm and kind, which I appreciated. Unfortunately, the kindness couldn't save the rest of the experience. They were out of salad, broccoli, and the nightly special. We stayed anyway because it was late and we'd already waited. Twenty minutes later, someone came by to let us know they were also out of bucatini. Even the bathroom was out of towels. The whole place was weirdly humid but cold, which only added to the discomfort. All in all, this was a rough experience - disorganized, understaffed, and just not worth it. I had the pasta fagioli and it was okay at best, mostly beans and a sauce that was way too thin. Think I get it ... the over indulgence of highly processed, salty food is in demand. Not inedible, just lots of salty sauces and dressings. So no judgement BUT, please, pretty please, don't limit your understanding of Italian food to the OG. Don't limit your palate to only Panda Express for Chinese. Please go out and eat an eatery where the people of the culture eat. Go to the food mall in flushing, try a random spot on Arthur Avenue, eat Korean BBQ in Fort Lee. Treat yourself at least once. OG isn't the best food on earth- but it wasn't totally horrible either. Yeah....I know. But our day-to-day eating patterns have changed especially since our kitchen is (still) being renovated. Quite honestly, I miss their trademark big bowl of salad as I remember when OG first set up shop in NYC back in '94 and those damn warm, pillowy-soft, buttery+garlic breadsticks are insane. Plus making the 20 minute drive to the only Olive G in the county, wasn't so bad. This is a large OG at the Cross County Mall with several dining areas. Smooth greeting, hassle-free seating. I hadn't been to this particular location since they opened in '14 so I forgot their "when you're here, you're family" motto my friend Jason M. told me about. He was right. Because when hubs and I came here, kids were yelling like they were at the damn park AND worse, parents didn't seem to notice a problem and had NO CONTROL over their kids. Breathe. My Angel hair pasta+Cream of Mushrm with shrimp add-on was a winner. Hubs' crispy chicken dish though, seemed as if the tomato sauce was just slathered on top. Their big signature bowl of salad? Where do I begin? After not having eaten at this Olive Garden in over 8 -10 years, I went there tonight (Saturday 08/16/25). Got to the restaurant at around 10pm and although the place was pretty empty, the hostess quoted a 20 minute wait that turned out to be a 15 minute wait. Ordered an Italian Margarita that tasted like fruit punch and had no kick to it! I then proceeded to order the lasagna. When it was brought out to me and I began to eat it, I immediately noticed that it was not hot, but more on the warm to about to turn cold side. The air conditioning in the place was so cold that this sped up lowering the temperature of the lasagna. I could have sent it back to be reheated, but I didn't want to go that route. After just about being finished with my meal, I noticed a mouse running, several times, along the edges of the dining booths off of the kitchen area. I quickly asked for my check and told the server about the mouse, her eyes opened wide as if in surprise, as if she had never heard of, or seen, a mouse in their restaurant. Bless her heart for trying to put on a good performance, but I could tell that she was well aware of the presence of rodents at that location. Upon paying her for my meal she said..."Have a good night and hope to see you again." NOPE!! The server was pleasant, but you won't see me or my money at this Olive Garden EVER again! read more

As I am writing this, I am sick and in bed with my stomach making gassy noises. I went to the Olive Garden Yonkers cross county location and when I arrived home I hade to race to the bathroom. I don't get diarrhea, ever. This is clearly an indication that the food was contaminated in some way. I don't know if it was the bread, or the salad, ( which I ate quite a bit of it) or the grilled salmon with broccoli with spaghetti and mushroom sauce. I don't know but it's definitely food poisoning and my body is trying to rid itself of it. I'm researching what to do because I feel so sick. So far I've had some apple cider vinegar to try and settle my stomach. I feel saw awful because I wonder what kind of parasites Iv' e ingested. I'm not exaggerating. I placed an online order for carryout the other day. They were giving a buy one, take one to go special which was great. You get to order your first entree which comes with a soup or salad, bread sticks, and a second entree. I ordered the chicken parmigiana. This only comes as the first entree which is alright even though I wouldn't mind ordering two of them. You place the order online and then go to store for curbside pick up. An employee comes outside and drops it off to you. The food was great. The chicken parmigiana was wonderful and cooked perfectly. The portions were large and filling. The bread sticks were a great addition even though I would have much rather preferred the all you can eat bread sticks. I ate the cheese ravioli the day after and it was alright. The only change I would make is make the chicken parmigiana an option for the second entree. Also, more bread sticks! read more

Guess we hadn't noticed because of our talking. I went there at approximately 8:15pm on 01/15/2025 and saw 3 mice running around the dining area of restaurant. When I informed a nearby waiter, he told me that he'll inform the manger. When the waiter came back the waiter said the manager said he's going to find someone to go over there. But the manager didn't come out to speak to us, so we left shortly after. This place has some health violations issues and wouldn't recommended anyone to eat here until they sort that out and the customer service. went to the Olive Garden in Danbury on Christmas Eve. It was horrible. The service was absolutely abhorred I waitress for 40 years so I know when I'm talking about when the service was horrible. How do you put dessert on a table with the dishes filled with food still on the table? When I tell you that I've had the worst experience I've ever had an Olive Garden I'm not lying. When I went, it took us a little bit to get seated, because the servers were having an argument about somebody sitting at a table when they weren't supposed to. I get it but like we're standing right there. Then finally, when we went to go sit down, our waitress didn't come right away and when she finally did take our order, it took her at least five minutes to bring the salad and the soup and then we had to wait another 6 to 7 minutes for her to bring utensils. She never brought us the breadsticks and she never even offered grated cheese cheese. When she finally bought our entrées. It was at least a good 35 minutes since we got the salad and she kept on asking OK do you need anything else and blood and we would say yes we need more utensils. We need breadsticks and we need cheese and we never got any of them. We're watching all the other waitresses cater to their tables, offer them, grated cheese for their pasta, breadsticks, salads, and coming back every so often where is our server did not. Also honestly, the breadsticks did not taste as good as I remembered them Which really disappointed me. Granted it was fairly busy inside and crowded for a Monday night but that still doesn't give any excuse to not treat us the same as they would another table. I don't know if our waitress was having an off day or not, but she really did not, do a very good job. And honestly the food has gone downhill. After about 20 minutes yes 20 minutes maybe longer my husband went to the front to speak to a manager. She walked over to the table and apologized and offered to take our order herself. No thanks. First off the service was atrocious, except for one guy who went out of his way give us cheese (promote that guy). My chicken and gnocchi soup had no gnocchi, that's just watery chicken broth with limp vegetables. I mean it's in the name chicken AND GNOCCHI. Then they didn't give me a refill on my NEVER ENDING soup, which apparently does have an end. Why not you may ask? Because they were "closing", mind you this was 9:15 (they close at 10). Additionally, I asked for a drink refill and the waitress gave me water with no ice because they were "closing". I then found out there was, in fact, ice so y'all just lied. ALSO two people came in after we'd gotten our food, so they obviously weren't closed yet. Closing seems to be a big problem for them and inhibits their ability to service their customers. For those thinking of ordering the "lunch" portion for $7.99, it is VERY small. Not complaining since it's came with a huge salad (I finished thee whole thing - so proud of myself!) and breadsticks, so it's not like I was left feeling hungry. Just worth mentioning to manage expectations. Regretted ordering dessert. The Brownie Lasagna looking NOTHING like the ad. It was too frozen, no chocolate sauce on top, and the white cream/icing overwhelmed the brownie taste. If I didn't know it was a brownie, I would never be able to guess. I still love Olive Garden.
