Personally I felt that the bottles created a barrier between me and the bar tender. The outside tables are tables typically for 2 or 4 people with banquet seating and then chairs. Take one of the small wife carafe used to serve the wine and present it in that. Overall I felt something was missing but could not put my finger on it. We ordered a variety of tapas and everything hit: the empanadas (chicken, shrimp & sausage, beef) were crispy and flavorful, the crispy manchego was rich and indulgent, the pulpo a la sevillana was tender and well-seasoned, and the shrimp pinchitos were perfectly grilled. The pizza was definitely the highlight--super delicious and satisfying, especially as my first time trying that style. The Caesar salad was good, but for $16, I found the portion a bit small. The calamari was also solid, though we didn't love the sauce it came with. While we were eating, Bill noticed where we had placed our bikes (near the stairs where we could keep an eye on them) and came over rather abruptly, asking why they were in "his garden." Even after my friend apologized, he just walked away. His overall presence throughout the visit really hurt the experience--definitely not the kind of hospitality you expect.
