They said that they were busy and I might have to wait until Monday to have my system repaired. Vinny is one of the most honest guy's that you will ever deal with! PERIOD! No upselling of parts that may go out, or look like they are old. If you want an honest repair at a great price you need to use Oliver Heating and Air. He came out our house to look at our thermostat, that we paid for another company that does our servicing, which was just done, and the batteries in it were rotting caused the board to fail. The other company said $500 for the thermostat. We PAID for a service contract that is supposed to check these things (never done). I can't even express how nice it was to get to work with Vinnie and Deanne. They were absolutely friendly and knowledgeable, and the work looks perfect. I've had some great contractors but they top the list with how well they explained everything and cleaned up, patched up the hole from my old heater so I'm able to finish the wall and floor easily, hauled the junk so I didn't have to figure out how to get rid of the old unit, and especially how much care they took to make sure my door was closed so my cat couldn't run away (this is always such a danger when having work done as I live near the freeway). I even had problems with the permit office because of an illegal awning the previous owner of the house had put up and Vinnie went to the city a second time for me after I removed the awning. The minisplit system looks amazing and works great, it's so quiet I'm amazed with how effective it has been so far. I didn't even know these existed before I met them, and it's by far the best option for my particular house. I'm looking forward to staying cool during the summer heat waves too! Last year, we called a different company (I'll call them Company A) to check on our central heating which had stopped working. Company A said that the fan was just stuck & moved it a little bit, which got our old Amana furnace working again. He said he would still need to charge the full service fee (which wasn't wrong), but it seemed like he & Company A could have given me a break as a repeat customer for just 5 minutes of work. Recently, our fan was fine, but the furnace wasn't heating. Decided to call Oliver Heating & Air this time, and I'm glad we did. They said we needed a new control panel, and after they called around, said that it would take at least 4 weeks to special order & receive. To my pleasant surprise, Vinnie called me with an update a few days later, stating that the panel just shipped & would be here in a couple of days. Our AC went out during some of the hottest days (of course). Yelp helped send out a quote request to 3 different companies. Vinnie was the first to respond, he had the best pricing, availability and was rated 5 stars. We set up an appointment for the next day, he let me know when he was on his way. Once he got there he quickly narrowed down the problem to one of two issues. We needed to let our AC unfreeze to determine which issue it was, he came back the next day and luckily we were just low on refrigerant, so he topped it off. My dad was over while Vinnie was there and was having issues with his AC as well. Vinnie was able to swing by my dads house after his last call that day and fix their unit as well. Vinnie and Dee are awesome. My heat pump died and they helped me replace the entire system for 2500 less than two other bids. I called them on Sunday and they were at my house first thing Monday. They explained the problem and gave me a bid for a complete replacement. It was 2500 less than two other bids. They were able to schedule me for replacement on Wednesday and by 4pm Wednesday I was up and running. During the install they were great at explaining all of the details as I poked around and asked lots of questions. Everything has been up and working smoothly now for several days.
