Best food on campus, the servers are super nice and you get a ton of good food for not a lot of money.

It's like dining in a sun-soaked courtyard by the sea. Yes, it's a little kitschy--but in the best way. It totally adds to the charm. I've been here a few times, and every visit's been a win. It has a true mom-and-pop vibe, the staff is always warm, and while things can slow down when it's busy, that just means everything's made fresh--and worth the wait. (I don't mind. I came to enjoy, not rush.) This round: We started with a crisp, fresh salad and their classic hummus with pita--simple, bright, and the perfect kickoff. I had the Koofteh Meatballs--jumbo Persian-style beef meatballs stuffed with apricots, simmered in a tangy tomato sauce and served with basmati rice. The meat? Tender. The sauce? A whole flavor moment. My other half went with the Bagala Polow, a slow-stewed lamb shank served on dill basmati rice with lima beans and a side of lamb au jus. That dill rice? Unexpected and so, so good. Bonus points for the community vibes: While we were dining, someone celebrated a birthday--and they shared their mango cake with the whole restaurant. Such a sweet surprise that shows the spirit of the place. Final thoughts: Decor - Slightly kitschy, totally charming. Like eating in a postcard. Food - Flavorful, fresh, and made with heart. Community - The kind of place that turns strangers into dinner party guests. Our go-to for Mediterranean eats--highly recommend!

Fries were potato wedges and one was still frozen in the middle. The Greek sampler was just average. Last time I had the portobello sandwich with grilled veggies and it was delicious. The waiter said they are a newer business and things have been slow so they just didn't have everything on the menu. I ended up getting the lamb kabobs and my buddy got the chicken kabobs. The dining area was clean but the design of the dining benches were odd. The benches don't properly fit the table sizes, and the table wobbled, which was odd because it was a newer table with a heavy base. The wood worker who did the trim work had no skills at all, very bad cuts and gaps. When we got our food things greatly improved. The lamb kabobs I ordered were the best I've ever had. The rice was very good. Plus they gave us a big side plate of veggies with the meal. Unfortunately it felt as if this place won't last. They only had 1 to go customer the whole time we were there. I would definitely return for the lamb kabobs, they were amazing.

New ownership @ Kabob House may not be helping. Sure, it's a cute lil family-owned Afghani…read morerestaurant..But sadly, the food did not live up to expectations. In fact, the entree we had was a complete fail. Their Saji whole chicken was overcooked and so dry it was barely edible. Some outer parts were cooked until literally rock hard. We got our order to go, and it was supposed to come with naan and rice, but we later realized both were absent. The extra sauces we asked for, also absent. Masala fries we added were plentiful for only $3, but just seasoned crinkle cut fries from a bag, nothing special. Service was friendly. Ambiance comfortable and cultural. But they had plenty of time to get our small order right and could not pull it off. They should definitely be ashamed of ever serving chicken like that. Hard pass.
