Service was friendly, place is nice and clean and updated, but the food was just okay. I don't know if it was the biscuits or the gravy, but it tasted burnt. Loved the town and location.

We timed it perfectly on a holiday weekend and when we arrived, only one other couple was there. Although the inside is lively, we opted to sit at a picnic table on the patio and people watch. The only challenge is listening to the squawk box from DQ in front of the restaurant. The servers were very helpful and the menu had several good choices. I opted for fish and chips (substituting onion rings), and the Hubbs got the bbq rib special. They offered flavored lemonade which was refreshing. The Hubbs declared it the best clam chowder he has had on this coastal trip. The place was full by the time we left. We are adding this to our list of favorites in the area.

We went to Olmedo's because it was one of few places open later on a Sunday night. It didn't disappoint! Fried cod was light and flaky with flavorful tartar sauce. Clam chowder was delicious. Coleslaw didn't have much flavor. Others got fettuccini Alfredo and enjoyed it! Kind and quick service with good parking. Would definitely recommend after a long hike!

This is a great place for any meal. Its very clean. The staff is supur friendly. The food is spot on good. The best clam chowder i have had anywhere. Sandwiches are done right as well. Try the chocolate cake as well. All good.

    Yummy breakfast!

We were looking for a hearty, delicious breakfast spot away from the crowds in Rockaway, and we were not disappointed! The food here is excellent -- you can taste the care and attention to detail in every bite. We had the pancakes and the chicken fried steak: classic breakfast staples, but elevated to something special. So glad to support this wonderful mom-and-pop place. Highly recommend if you're in the area! Great outdoor view of Garibaldi (train depot and Tillamook Bay) too!

Our stop to Olmedo's was a happy accident. After discovering that the restaurant we originally intended to visit was closed, we decided to give this establishment a shot. Suffice to say, the food exceeded our expectations. The chowder was INCREDIBLE and fish and chips were tender and fresh. Since the service was so excellent and environment was family friendly, my only complaint was that the salmon was a bit dry (but that could be due to the fact that we chose scrambled eggs instead of overeasy). Highly recommend!!

Phenomenal food. Bright and clean. Friendly attentive staff...quick service while keeping the food. Quality high. Hands down best breakfast in Tillamook County. Clam chowder is amazing!

Great service, food, and design. A much needed breakfast restaurant. I was eyeing my neighbors steak and I'll be back for dinner

The interior is very cute - there was a red checkered tablecloth on our table. Our waitress was super nice and friendly. When we ordered the espresso martini and mentioned we only wanted one to share, she came back with it split into two mini glasses! We've never had that happen before. The french toast was really good, esp. with the lemon curd. I was scraping every last bit of it into my mouth. I'd love to try other menu items next time!

We had a 10:45 reservation but ended up waiting outside on the sidewalk for over 40 minutes. We got a couple of "it'll be soon" updates and one offer to sit at a picnic table on the sidewalk. That wasn't an option for my husband's back. And, by that point, it felt like we'd already had the full sidewalk experience! To add to the frustration, we watched a table that would have fit our party turn over and be given to a group that had arrived well after us. Once seated, things didn't improve much. Our daughter has celiac disease, and after talking through options with our server, she ordered a modified breakfast plate. When it arrived, it had two slices of (gluten-full) toast placed right in the middle. We asked for a remake. While we were waiting someone came over to tell us (firmly) that the kitchen isn't dedicated gluten-free. We fully get that, but that's different from putting bread on top of everything on the plate, especially after we'd already discussed the restriction. As I was saying that, the staff member walked away. The interaction felt more like a lecture than the apology that would've been appropriate. The food overall was okay, but not memorable. My husband said the "special" Bloody Mary was the worst he's ever had--memorable, just not in a good way. On the positive side, the gluten-free coffee cake was excellent, and thankfully the company made the day worthwhile. My guess is there may have been an issue with our reservation. We made it in person previously and it was written in a notebook. When we called to confirm the day before, they initially couldn't find it. It felt like it might not have made it into the system, and they were trying to accommodate on the fly once they realized it. If that's the case, a little transparency upfront would have gone a long way--we would have appreciated the option to adjust our plans rather than end up waiting outside for so long. Overall, this felt like a series of misses and mishandled opportunities to improve the experience. It's also an excellent reminder of why I normally steer clear of dining out on holidays.

My wisely chosen sides were Dressed Greens and Fruit. The eggs and bacon were cooked perfectly. The greens and fruit were fresh and delightful. It was a terrific breakfast. One of my best ever. Service was great and the space is bright and cozy. They have plenty of tables as well as a wrap around bar and a small chef's counter to eat at. All the other dishes I saw being prepared looked amazing. Note that they recently changed their name from Yolk to Poach 503. Can't wait to go back!

I'll start with the positive: The French Toast is probably the best I've ever had! My wife ordered the French Toast, and after I tried a bite of hers, I ordered a piece. All of the ingredients were fresh; but the prices are a little higher than they ought to be. I ordered the Biscuits and Groovy. Biscuits is plural in the name. If there were 2 biscuits, they were tiny. If there was only 1 biscuit, maybe rename the item Biscuit & Groovy. In either case, there wasn't a lot of gravy. The wait wasn't bad. 30 minutes for a table for 2 on a Sunday in February. Can't imagine the wait in the Spring or Summer. We ordered 3 cocktails. Total for all three was $41. These were easily the most expensive 'mocktails' ever. None of them seemed to have much liquor. You aren't going to get lit at Yolk. All in all, 3.5 stars. But I wouldn't go back. And I definitely wouldn't wait more than 30 minutes to dine at Yolk.
