Walked in on a Wednesday with a party of 5. No reservation needed, two small tables with families and a few people at the bar area. The food was decent, definitely NOT Hawaiian.

Our server to wonderful care of us. There's plenty of seating inside as well as at the bar. I love the ambience of the building as well. The food was amazing and had so much flavor. I hope to come back during my visit to Tilamook. I got the tri tip and shrimp, the chimichuri on the steak tasted super cilantro-y, which I absolutely loved. The shrimp was cooked to perfection and so were my sides. Extremely pleased with my visit here.

Husband really liked the fish and chips, very crisp and well seasoned. Shrimp scampi was cooked well but very very buttery. It was overpowering and had no other flavor notes. The decor was different, it didn't really feel like it flowed or made sense with the food genre. Staff was nice and efficient.

    Special Happy Hour drink

Absolutely wonderful happy hour. The fish and chips were tasty. Tempura was light and not greasy. The asparagus, beet, spinach salad is in a class of its own- top notch all the way. Partner had hamburger that not only was fabulous but an incredible deal. Get there a little before 5 (when it opens) to get a spot. Wait staff friendly, attentive, and kind. Great place!

The shrimp tacos are great also Just do not expect great ambience and you'll not be disappointed . I rated it generously but really I think I would give it 8 out of 10 due to the ultracasual atmosphere and the self serve aspects. I really think this coastal town needs a bit of class added. Not everyone is beach combing ALL the time while visiting.

I'm almost a little sad that we picked this place first, because I don't know that any other place we eat at is going to be as good or better. This is a combination restaurant / fish counter. Don't let that discourage you from eating there. When we walked in, there was one table left. Always a good sign when a place is busy, especially during the off season. There's generally a reason why the other places are empty. In addition, there was no smell from the fish counter. A sign that everything is fresh. Honest, you really don't even notice there is a counter there once you sit down. We went with a half-dozen oysters on the half shell, Dominic's Fish and Chips, which is the fresh local catch of the day. Today it happened to be Rockfish, always one of my favorites, the Shrimp and Chips, and The Cioppino, which is a seafood stew. This has clams, mussels, fish, prawns, and crab in a tomato sauce. There's a decent selection of beer as well. First, I want to say these were some of the best oysters I've had, fresh out of Willapa Bay. We should have ordered a dozen or two. These came with some lemon and fresh horseradish. Try the horseradish! The oysters tasted great with nothing on them or with a little fresh horseradish. The fish was fried perfectly, golden brown, not oily, and not overcooked. You can easily tell this was fresh Rockfish. The shrimp were fried perfectly as well. The Cioppino was amazing! Again, all the seafood was prepared perfectly. But it was the flavor of the stew that really stood out. This is a dish not to be overlooked and tastes great on a cold day. The food here is outstanding! Though this is a combination market / restaurant, the atmosphere felt comfortable and inviting. The service was great as well. Everyone here was friendly. If you're looking for some great fresh seafood, the Fish Peddler is a must eat and there are plenty of items on the menu that can bring you back multiple times. Honestly, I hope we come back here before we leave town.

Wish I could've bought some of their fancier cheeses, but had no way to store it, and we were only at our rental in Rockaway for 2 more days. They give out free samples of cheeses. Cafe was a bit of a mess of people queuing so I took the advice from the boards and downloaded and ordered from the app, then grabbed some pizza for myself. App said my order was ready but order wasn't ready so had to wait. Ordered pulled pork and pineapple pizza because it seemed easy and again told to wait. It was unclear where they wanted me to wait or how they would call my number. I picked up my app order (burgers, cheese curds, mac and cheese and fruit), then went back to pizza corner to find my order was just sitting there. Advice: do not download the app (not worth it) unless you do that in advance so you don't need to enter all the sign up details. App mobile order pickup is at the pizza counter. If you order pizza, just wait for them to hand it to you, even though they will tell you to wait and it won't be right away. It is, in fact, just there. Would rate this 2 stars for cafe. However! We loved our paid tour Ice Cream Experience! Also the self guided tour of the creamery. The place was busy (Wednesday summertime), but parking was found and we got to see and do everything we wanted except maybe cheese samples. (The line was long, we skipped it). I've been here a number of times over the years and I think it's still a worthwhile visit on occasion. Kids loved ice cream tour ($35/person), we did too. We learned about all the milk delivered and ice cream made every day at Tillamook and the flavors and method- we tried a new product ice cream bar (delish!) and then got 4 large samples (think 4 scoops!) of ice cream. No allergies so we got to try everything. Left with ice cream pins and pink ceramic stackable cone cups.

We were hopeful going in, but unfortunately, our experience was disappointing. Our server, Brenton, was one of the rudest employees we've encountered not just at Pelican Brewing Company, but anywhere along the Oregon coast. He came across as though he genuinely disliked his job, which created an uncomfortable atmosphere. Because of this, my husband and I decided not to order anything and chose to leave instead. The overall vibe made it difficult to enjoy our visit. Needless to say, we won't be returning to this location. In the future, we would much rather drive the extra 45 minutes to the Pelican Brewing Company Cannon Beach location, which has always offered a much more welcoming environment and friendly service.

There is a fountain area, a coffee bar and a refrigerated cooler for drinks. The wine section is expansive and beautifully displayed. I can't speak to the quality, as I didn't partake in adult beverages. The shop is comprehensive with loads of deli-like merchandise, boutique items and souvenirs. They offer a lot of hand-crafted and locally-made fare, which is my preference. The food was outstanding! I order the cheese charcuterie with salami and my husband ordered the Blue Heron Classic. What a delight, and with plenty of left-overs. It was such a gorgeous day I visited the Candy Shop for an ice cream cone (Tillamook, of course) and walked the grounds for peacock viewing. The Blue Heron has picnic tables outside, so I sat and enjoyed the sun for a while. It was an ideal escape!
