Took the office to Glow Golf. Easy to make reservations online. Think they had clubs to use, but we brought our own. Brought own Tee. First time we were told to take them when we left and tried to return. The next time we went, they only had a couple to use probably. Not a problem us, but friends didn't have. It's a good time. Bar used to be at the beginning. Now all the way at the end and there's a legit bar and some seating. Their ordering/payment system is terrible. Everything is done on the phone so they need to scroll to find things and holds things up. Food is okay. Pizza is on the menu, yet they never have it when we go. And the workers don't know until they put in the order so they try to do a replacement instead of a refund. You can probably do a refund but hate to know how long that would take and I am not one for holding up a bar line. Korean food is probs better than the rest of the stuff. Food truck Mexican food is okay. Not the best, but not the worst. Workers are always very nice...at the bar, the food runners, everyone. Bathroom smells like urine, is old and dingy. It's a good time, but there are some hits and misses...just like my golf game. read more

We booked a tee time thinking it was for Olomana. Showed up 30 minutes before our "tee time" just to find out it wasn't the right golf course. The nice gentleman in the pro shop was able to get us a tee time for the time we "already had". Very friendly. Beautiful course. read more

Hawaii's version of Top Golf! Easily made reservations online. $50/per hour for each bay which holds up to 6 people. A bucket of 70 balls is included (per hour) and additional buckets are available for purchase should you run out before the hour is up. You need to download the Toptracer app to run the interactive games. Simple registration with email address. I'd suggest doing this before arrival as the cellular reception is spotty. You can bring your own clubs or borrow irons from them. Youth clubs available also. The games range from practicing your drives to Angry Birds or Go Fish (building a virtual aquarium per hit). When the sun goes down and the neon lights turn on, the magic starts happening! Wear your neon or white colors! K-POP music playing on the TVs overhead in each bay. They have a bar which serves Ultra beer and 2 or 3 varieties of hard liquor, plus soft drinks. The only food vendor that was on hand was a food truck called "Hello World". Their menu consisted of elote corn, nachos, hot dogs and a Philly cheesesteak type of sandwich. The food truck only provided spoons so we were creative in cutting the sandwiches in half. Women's restrooms need some help. 5 stalls but only 2 toilets were in order. 4 sinks but only 1 working. Lots of small, pesky flying insects when it got dark but that's to be expected for the location. Lots of extra seating behind the bays, pavilions, picnic tables, etc. Plenty of parking but no lights in the lot so buddy up when going to/from your car. read more

This was an awesome date night activity! Prices were very fair, the games were awesome, and I felt like the range itself is very nice and well maintained. The clubs are pretty old but honestly, we weren't going for a "true golf day" so that really does not matter much to us! Good food options are available too, we did not get it this time around, but we will definitely need to try next time we come! TIPS & TRICKS: * They say to download a specific app, you really do not need it and can play as a guest. I called Olomana Golf Links ahead of time to check availability. I was told I could walk in and that someone would be able to squeeze me in, so I drove about 38 minutes to get there. When I arrived, I was then told I would need to wait another 50 minutes. No appointment option was offered on the phone, no heads up about a long wait, just "come on down." That alone was frustrating, but what really sealed it was the lack of awareness and professionalism. When I left and tried to acknowledge the staff member, he was on his phone texting the entire time and didn't even notice I was there. I genuinely tried to give this place another shot, but the service, communication, and management were disappointing. I won't be coming back. I'd rather play somewhere closer with better booking and clearer communication. read more

Kama'aina rate w/ a cart isn't too bad for the views. The course could use a little maintenance for some holes, greens, and one of our two carts needed some tightening, but it's so difficult to complain when you're golfing w/ friends on a Saturday with a few beers. Friendly and attentive employees. They have a double decker driving range! The outdoor beer garden opens at 9, and they serve food, beer and cocktails. (presently no cart service on the course) The Proshop has limited items for sale. Clean restrooms. The restaurant is not available, looks like it may be under construction. They have gold clubs to borrow if you don't own a pair and they have food and drinks available. We recommend reservations since they have limited tables $50 for a hour up to 6ppl. Olomana Golf Links located on the Windward side of Oahu, features an 18 hole, par 72 golf course with a view of the Ko'olau Mountain Range. The front nine starts with a wide open Par 5, which is easily reachable in two. You'll discover multiple holes with waterway crossing, which challenges golfers to lay up short, or take a chance and drive it through. Good luck! The back nine has a bunch of elevated greens, so don't forget to club up to account for the elevation change. Nice view on the greens. Overall, Olomana Golf is a challenging course, but requires a lot more TLC, especially at its current condition and Kama'aina rates. read more

Such a great place for my son to golf this summer as it gets expensive for a teen ... so the summer special has been a blessing for him to tighten up his golf game ! Staff always friendly . And ... we had reserved to lanes for the evening at the range for 2 hours and half my party got food poisoning from last night ... Location is good and the scenery is great. Not many people. But the cost for out of state was high especially for a course that wasn't really well maintained. And they wouldn't give me military discount. Only active, even though I'm retired? Huh? Most other places give the military discount to all military. I wasn't asking for kama'aine. Oh well. They have nothing in pro shop except balls and these horrible golf shirts. But they expect you to play in collar shirt? Nothing you can buy but a sleeve of balls. Hmmm. Was hoping for a nice polo Then they have all these new carts but they give me the only non local a pos old cart. Wtf. Only reason I give two stars is because my friend comes here all the time and likes the course and had good things to say. And we'll it is Hawaii and it was beautiful. But the course was not very well maintained It was a great time golfing with my friend today and the course had some forgiving holes. Maybe if I was a local here I'd get over the other stuff. I think local price was $30 and out of state was $90. Me? Sheeeet. Next time I go to one of the other 100 courses on island that are friendly and maintain their course or a military course. This Course was great! Staff was top tier very friendly. Chatted it up got free range balls was allowed to play before my teatime 6:40am got to play a solo round. Course conditions was great for this time of year not too dry. Greens were fast and very well maintained. Went for the cosmic golf on a weekend. Staff wasn't helpful with working the screens. In fact they didn't know how to work it. The whole cosmic golf concept great- just needs to be staffed with people who know what they're doing. Whatever you do, don't order food. May have been a fluke for that night but the server kept delivering us other peoples orders and when it came time for my order it never came out. Ordered at 718p finished my lane at 830p and still never came out with my food even after following up with them 2x- disappointing. Plus what you see online posted is not what's on the menu. My table ordered K-Food and, although it was just instant ramen, it somehow took over an hour to get to us. I had to go up to the bar at least five times just to check on our order. One of our ramen orders was forgotten entirely and had to be remade. The most frustrating part? The final bowl came missing the egg and green onion--toppings that cost an extra $2. We had to go back again just to have them fix it. The overall golfing experience was fun and the vibe was definitely there, but the food service needs major improvement. It's been about 10 years since I played at this course but it was extremely disappointing... First of all, the young girl working at the pro shop was very unwelcoming. No smile, no thank you, no emotions The young guy who was working the starter was much better and had Aloha. Nevertheless, I was excited to play but was disappointed in the condition of the course. How can they charge $50 for such a poorly maintained course.. I wouldn't mind paying $30 but not $50.. The fairway was bumpy, the greens were dry and bumpy so it's hard to roll your putts.. The worst part was the bunker. Once your ball gets into the bunker..good luck as it was hard as cement. Overall, I think this course needs to work on either their customer service or conditions of the course if they want more people to patronize the course. read more

We were looking for a golf course that could accommodate a range of golfing abilities at a decent price. This place was just the right choice! We were able to play as a 5some which was so awesome. The views of the mountains were breathtaking. The bartender was an absolute sweetheart and their drink prices were very reasonable. My family and I along with our good friends came to do the Cosmic Golf here on a Friday evening. I booked our ticket for a bay for the first time slot 6:30p. The tickets are per bay, and each bay can consist of 6 players max. $50 for an hour, and your ticket comes with 75 golf balls. You can buy and extra 25 for $10 or 75 for $30. Cash or card, then take both. We checked in on time, bought and extra bucket of 25 balls. My son's first time golfing like this so we figured he would want his own set to hit. If you're with children, might as well get them their own bucket of golf balls. My daughter was the first one to hit the gorilla of the night. The DJ asked if she was 21 but no, sorry she didn't get anything out of it. But hey, it would've been nice to get something at least. We ordered food from a food truck that was parked on site. I forgot what the name of the food truck was but, literally 4 stars. The young lady who was taking my order was very helpful. She suggested the Birria-nada special they had and that was bomb. Pizza was great, the kids gobbled it all up. The wings was good. Could be little bit more crispier, but it was still Ono! Customer service in point. Thanks sister for the suggestions! What a beat up Old track. It was fun because of my partners but oh my gosh. The carts were barely held together and there was no fairway! It was rough and ready. Drive slowly because there are no springs or suspension on the carts and the ground is viciously uneven. I hope they get a big infusion of cash and can fix the place up. read more

I was visiting the area and looking for some cheaper golf for two groups of 4. We were able to get a round, carts and rentals for around $90 a person. I was surprised to see negative reviews about some of the staff because while we were there, they were awesome! They waived riders fee for my buddy who hurt his hand and wasn't able to golf and gave us some range balls to warm up for free. They also provided a few golf balls and tees for our groups. As for the course itself. The views are amazing! The par 4 and 5s are a lot of fun but as noted in the other reviews, not very well maintained. Majority of tee boxes were like dirt and hard to tee up but I didn't care that much. Overall I enjoyed the time out and would recommend this course to anyone visiting looking for a cheaper round of golf on the island. read more

This course USED TO be fun. It USED TO be a local favorite. And it USED TO be packed, nearly 7 days a week. Now, you probably can walk on without a prior reservation on a Saturday morning. It's sad. This course has a lot of fond memories. I had my first eagle here, on the first hole. Drained a chip from off the green. The lowest score I ever had; a 74 was shot on this course. The first time I ever opened a round with eagle-birdie-par-birdie was here, at Olomana. That all is in the past. The present doesn't look so good and the future looks gloomier. It all started several years ago when a Chinese company came and bought a pant load of golf courses around the state. This company, Pacific Links, transformed all the courses to semi-private courses. You buy memberships and receive discounted rates and book preferred times. I don't recall what the membership costed, but I remember being told, "You can make your money back by playing 6 rounds a month." Oh! Only six rounds a month? That's easy! TOO BAD I GOTTA WORK WEEKDAYS AND THERE ARE ONLY FOUR SATURDAYS IN A MONTH! Well, that didn't work well. Most of the locals were turned off by the whole idea and the popularity of the sport was affected. The emergence of Tiger Woods and Michelle Wie on the scene drew a lot of younger players. Something we never thought would happen was happening. Kids were learning the sport. The PGA and LPGA worked hard to break the stereotype that golf was a sport reserved for the wealthy. Just when this was getting off the ground, Pacific Links came in and undermined everything. Furthermore, their international members (mostly from mainland China) would be able to play ANY course Pacific Links owned for free. Of course, their membership fees were exuberant. That attracted a bunch of entitled people. This was when they were coming in droves, buying up all the high-end brands in Waikiki and Ala Moana. The golfers were playing for free though. Golf courses require a ton of money to maintain. None of the money generated by membership sales came back to Hawaii! Pacific Links packed up and left the islands after a few years, and the golf courses that were affiliated suffered. The biggest casualties were the two Makaha courses. The West completely shut down, and the East course is running on borrowed time. Olomana was also a victim of this horrendous management company. The other problem is that the course is built on a reclaimed swamp, prone to flooding and since it's at or even below sea level at the lowest point, affected by extreme high tides. Weather is also a problem. This part of the Windward side receives a lot of rain, making the course muddy for half the year and since it's a former swamp, the clay-like mud shrinks and cracks, leaving crevasses on the fairway. Local rules accommodate this by giving a relief if your ball comes to rest on a crack. But when the course is wet, groundskeepers can't cut the grass because the machines will leave tire tracks. If heavy rains continue, they can't cut the grass until the ground dries enough for the tractors to be driven, which could be for a few days. A course like this, in this condition cannot be charging $65. And that's the weekend Kamaaina rate. It's overpriced by at least $10. I understand the need to recover income from being shut down during the early stages of the pandemic and the torrential rains that flooded the course prior to that, but hey..... Top priority is to get golfers back on the course. The old, pre-Pacific Links Olomana was always packed. Trying to find parking in the regular lot on a Saturday was nearly impossible. We usually had to park at the secondary lot behind the cart barn. It's going to take more than nicer carts and a new roof on the clubhouse to bring back the glory days. Staff needs to be a bit sharper too. I booked for a group of 5 and specifically asked if it was OK for a fivesome, as most courses don't allow it on the weekends. I was given the OK and booked 11:00. A few days later, I called back to let them know that we're down to 4 and this is when I found out that I didn't have a reservation.... WHAT? Fortunately the lack of golfers got me a tee time a half hour later. Turns out the 11:00 group didn't show up and we started early. Funny how that worked out! And please, for God's sake, somebody show the young blonde girl in the beer garden how to multitask and work efficiently! She can ring up drinks while food is in the microwave....she doesn't have to watch it till it's done! The golfers need to be kept moving and so give them priority...and "sandwich" has one H, not two!! read more

I'll always have a soft spot for Olomana Golf Course. It's probably the course I've played more than any other growing up on the Windward side. It used to be in better shape but it's a fun course to play on with great views. Tons of interesting water features and marshland, this course is perfect for a golfer of any skill level. I used to make it a point to throw it in the rotation 5-6 times a year. Usually when I want a round to build confidence after a bad round, because I know I'll shoot well here. It's not the most difficult course. Pretty forgiving, but a fun layout. The main issue with the course is the condition, it leaves a bit to be desired, but to be honest the course probably hasn't been immaculate in over 30 years. The fairways are always pretty beat up, I think that's just based on the land it sits on. The greens aren't the nicest, often dead, bumpy , sandy. Really have to institute a 2 put max rule here. When it rains, forget it, mud everywhere, course gets torn up bad. The driving range is one of my favorite things about this course. It's double decked, with tons of stalls, and the bottom stalls have shade for these hot summer days. There is a small chipping and putting area which tends to get crowded. Back in it's heyday, Olomana had ton's of nice staff, nice carts, and a great restaurant. All of that is pretty much gone. They went through some ownership changes, and at one point looked like they were going to close but survived. Taking that all into account the only negative thing I can say is the price is too high now. $65 on a weekend is steep for the condition of the course. I used to try and get out here frequently, but I'd almost rather stay home than pay to play in these conditions. I'll always love Olomana, but it's not my first choice for a round anymore. read more

Writing an honest first experience review with this course. I had no issues with the staff at all, very friendly and attentive. Just walked in on a weekday without reservation, paid, and was on my way. The pricing is reasonable for weekdays, but I don't think the weekend pricing is worth. Weekdays seem like the time to play, because the course seemed somewhat empty. The island has been taking on a lot of rain this winter, so I knew the course would be muddy and wet, which it was. This course was really windy at the time, so be aware since you are next to the ocean of course. As far as finding each tee goes, it was pretty easy to find. This course is about as long as Pali, so it should take 3-4 hours to complete depending on the crowd. The course itself is beat up, but it's not bad at all. One thing I found funny was that our group was told to keep the golf carts on the cart path, but the path itself was the worst place to drive on due to huge puddles and beat up concrete slabs. There are a lot of water hazards here, but I didn't lose many balls to them. There's a lot of wide open fairways and rough areas between holes, so even if you slice your ball, you can still manage to get them back into play. The bunkers were quite muddy and the sand was like concrete due to the rains. The mountain backdrop on some holes are beautiful. There are ball washers at every hole which is NICE! On some days bellows air force base has training drills so don't be startled if you hear gunfire and bombs going off in the distance. The driving range can use a bit more netting near the 17th and 18th holes because if you hit your ball into the range area like I did, I had to look through a bunch of balls to find mine. I was also at risk of getting hit, but I doubt much amateurs hit that far. read more

Even though this course is far from me, it used to be one of my favorites. Greens have always had some barren spots/weeds, and tee boxes were pretty decent, but yesterday changed my mind in a bad way. Most of the tee boxes felt like a sandbox, and it was hard to find a level spot that would allow the ball to feel level with my stance on a few of them. Greens seemed to actually have less weeds than I'm used to, but the barren spots were worse than usual. I'm not a great putter by any means, so the greens probably wont bother casual golfers too much. Neither of those things are the worst part though. The worst part was the fairways. My group lost a handful of balls on the fairways because at least half of them were overgrown to the point where it was more heavy rough than fairway, especially on the front 9. I could deal with all the other issues, but struggling to find a drive that is center fairway got frustrating after a while. I've been here about 3 or 4 times before this most recent round, but I sadly won't be back for a while. At least until I hear that the course maintenance is improved. read more

Update to a review I did over a year ago. Course is improving, all greens were nice and true[last time was a disaster, potholes and sand on most greens] fairways getting better, and the grass was cut. Cart died on us on #11 but a call to the clubhouse had an employee to us with a fresh cart within 5 mins excellent customer service! Disappointed that this golf course continues to deteriorate. This course is now garbage. Fairways are craters, weeds and dirt. I almost fell out of my cart it's so rough. Greens are half dead and discolored so bad you can't read a putt. Doesn't matter cuz your ball jumps up and down. It used to be a good deal to play and the maintenance was fair. The owners raised the rates to $65 and we thought maybe they would make improvements. NOT. Apparently they must think if they raise rates and make more money, then they can fix the course. Mr/Ms owners of Olamanu, it does not work like that. You need to spend money to fix the course before you raise rates.. People will not return to your course. You are going to go out of business if you keep your current business model. read more

Incredibly rude starter. This place isn't in the best of condition. Quite frankly it's trash. I will say that the driving range is solid (hence the two stars) but the course itself is garbage for the price. Anyways, it's quite common to see kids out on the golf course during the weekdays. Well, the one day I brought my family out the starter was incredibly rude in not letting them on the course. I get it they're following the rules, but then why allow some people to do it and not others? Plenty of other golf courses around the island for a similar cost that are way more friendly and not in such bad condition like this one. read more

Terribly maintained golf course, This place looks like a Scotts test lawn. Construction equipment and digging everywhere, outdated golf carts, terrible greens and bunkers that are literally unplayable. They should pay people to play this course, a real shame for such a good location. 10/10 would not recommend. read more
