I wouldn't recommend bringing your Miele Vacuum for repair to the East Side location. They told me they couldn't get the part, and then didn't have the vacuum put back together in time for pick up despite advanced notice. I took it to Cutter Vac in Fond du Lac, and they could get the part and will be repairing it fully at a reasonable rate. read more

Came in expecting to leave my vacuum cleaner with them. It wasnt sucking up anything. She took a look and found a clump of lint and pulled it out, but still no suction. she took it back to the back of shop and they cleared it out. turned out my husband had vacuumed up wood chips from our wood burning stove. I brought in vacuum cleaner, belt was stretched out rendering my vacuum useless. On the spot repair with additional cleaning out cat hair from bristled roller. $ 3.19 cents for the repair. Repairman personalable and I enjoying talking with him as he fixed my cleaner. Today, back in to rent a carpet shampooer. Another nice man who patiently instructed me on how to use it and carried the heavy cleaner to my truck. read more

Great experience here. The power button on our vacuum broke. Called the manufacturer because it was still under warranty and they referred us here. I dropped in off on Thursday and they gave us an estimate of being done by Monday. I got an e-mail on Friday saying it was done. Drop off and pickup was simple and easy and they even cleaned our vacuum after repairing it. Top notch service! read more

Great little vacuum store on the east side - they'll try to sell you a Riccar vacuum, which is kinda pricey, but believe me, they're right. Best vacuum I've ever used. Forget Dyson. Oh, and they'll demo the vacuums for you and explain everything. Really nice guys and worth checking out if you're in the market for a vacuum that's not a piece of junk. read more

I called before stopping by their shop. Joe, the store manager, was very friendly over the phone. When I stopped by, he greeted me immediately and looked over my vacuum. Turns out there wasn't much he could do because they couldn't order parts for my particular vacuum. He seemed very knowledgeable, and showed me a few other vacuums that might serve me well. (He steered me towards Riccar vacuums, as one of the previous review posts mentions). I didn't feel like I was pushed/pressured into buying from them, however. He advised me to contact the vacuum company to see if they could do anything. If not, he told me I could trade in my vacuum at their store. I got to test one of the Riccar vacuums out just to see how well they worked while I was there. I was able to get service from the vacuum company, but if I wasn't able to, I would definitely go back. read more

It's not often anymore a store will offer free advice on the phone but this place was terrific! I called them in a panic because my steam vac wasn't picking up water and we had company coming to town. The man who services these machines asked me a few questions and was able to diagnose the problem on the phone. He had a solution that worked IMMEDIATELY and I didn't even have to bring the machine to the shop. The best part was that he was pleasant and never treated me like an idiot, though it would've been well-deserved because the problem was of course, user error. In the end, thanks to the smart and friendly staff, I was able to solve the problem quickly and without spending a dime. The next time I need actual service, guess where I'm going! read more

Stopped in today to ask about a new vacuum because mine broke. The woman who helped me was very friendly and straight to the point. I told her what my house was like and what I thought my cleaning needs were, she asked a few more questions and showed me three vacuums at three different price points. She demonstrated one and some features on another. She gave me the warranty info and let me alone to make my decision. I bought one on the spot because it's a local business, the vacuum I bought is made in the USA, and there was no pressure or exhausting sales pitch! Buy your vacuums here! I've been here a couple of times. Once to buy bags and once to have them look at a couple of vacuums that weren't working quite right. Both times they were super helpful. For repair tweaks they fixed them on the spot and didn't charge me a penny. Some other place might have checked the vacuum in for a few days, charged me some $$ and done nothing more. This is the kind of small business we need to protect with our purchasing power and not lose to the power of Amazon. read more

My vacuum cleaner stopped working on New Year's Eve. I called late and they were open. I planned on just dropping it off. When I got there, they looked it over - took it in the back, cleaned out the problem and then carried it out to my car - all with a big smile. I always have excellent service at Olsons. I own a Kirby and they are always helpful with the care and maintenance. I highly recommend Olsons!! When I am ready for my next vacuum cleaner, I will buy from them. read more

We needed a new vacuum for the Silk Strand carpet we bought. We brought in a sample and tested several out and ended up buying a Riccar based on Olson's recommendation. Turns out the Silk Strand carpet we bought is susceptible to fraying so we wanted to make sure that the suction of the vacuum didn't damage to fibers. We ended up having the carpet replaced due to a defect and had another Silk Strand put in. When we tried the Riccar on the new carpet it was almost impossible to push. I took the vacuum back to Olson's along with a sample of the new carpet. The guys knew exactly what the issue was and said the newer version of the vacuum I owned now has the wheels in another location that would make pushing it easier. I again had brought in a sample of the new carpet and tried both the old version and the new version on the sample and what a difference between the two! Since I'd only bought the vacuum two months ago they upgraded me to the newer version free of charge, let me trade in my unused bags for new ones at no charge (even though I'd used one bag out of the box I was returning), and I was out of there in very little time. I can't imagine having this kind of service with a big box store. Plus they invited my dog into the store so she wouldn't have to sit in the car. I left feeling very impressed with the employees. You might pay a little more than you would at other larger stores but these people know their products and understand what they are doing. read more
