Each bedroom has its own bedroom, but some bedrooms are tiny and some very large. (I was given one of the large room seen in the photo.) However, this isn't the kind of place where you'll hang out in your room. There are big, comfy chairs and couches by a warm wood fireplace in the winter and tables and chairs out on the patio and front porch to sit and enjoy the view in clear weather. We stayed during the VT Inn to Inn walk, so we were tired and disheveled and they welcomed us with open arms and made us immediately comfortable. The lobby area is very nice and also has a nice breakfast set up. The room was very roomy, clean, warm and comfortable. There is a sitting area, desk, closet and plenty of storage. The bed was especially nice. I loved the shower with the large rain head, very relaxing. The TV has plenty of channels and is set up for easy watching. I got a great price on the Aspen and was very happy with my stay. It looks like there are plenty of extras during the summer and I would definitely recommend a stay here.

Cozy library and sitting area with period furnishings. No phones or TV in the rooms which is really why you go away.. to escape! Stasia is a very friendly hostess and eagerly will help you with a dinner reservation and be sure you are comfortable. Hot tea was always available. Hot breakfast with fresh fruits and plenty of coffee or tea- very tasty and filling. All rooms have canopy beds. There is a guestroom on the ground floor so if stairs are an issue you can request that one. Parking is a short walk from the front door. Grounds are lovely with a small pond and not far from Hildene or Manchester Center. Room rates are fair given its proximity to so many lovely attractions in Vermont. Be advised if you wish to be walking distance to shops or restaurants this is a bit farther than most would wish to walk. wonderful stay and truly thank Stasia for her hospitality and wonderful home!

We stayed in the king bed master bedroom which was quite spacious and well kept. The house is nestled in an 18 acre forest which is breathtaking. For our breakfast, Donna made an amazing french toast with home made plum jam and raisins, the maple syrup came from one of the trees on the property!! I also had a delicious made to order cheese omlette. This place is everything you would want in a B&B, hospitality and service and beauty are all packaged in at Farmwood Meadows.

The views are also great. And the breakfasts.....let me tell you about the breakfasts. Handmade by the hosts, multiple courses, all fresh local ingredients. Homemade bread and pastries, omletes with local Vermont cheese, potatoes, fresh fruits, juice, coffee....we were stuffed every morning. The only thing better than the breakfasts were the hosts themselves. Just the nicest couple you'd ever want to meet. They made themselves available for anything we needed. Donna gave us dinner recommendations and would include printed directions to the restaurants. She is so knowledgeable about all there is to do in the area. Clifford was so kind and accommodating as well. We arrived on motorcycle and he insisted on us keeping it in his garage. He also offered us his rain gear upon our departure because it was drizzling. He even followed up with us after to make sure we had arrived home safely. So in short. Beautiful accommodations. Great views. Amazing breakfast. Kind and helpful hosts. You really couldn't ask for more. I'll be staying here again for sure.

Like, you walk in...the keys to your room are in a basket with a piece of paper on the counter, name on that as well. It's very weird. I guess the ...the future? Lemme say a few things..good and bad about that. The Good! Ok...super convenient. In.....and OUT! You drop your key in the basket and bounce. No check-in or check-out. But see! AH! There is also some bad to that...."bad" FOREVER we have ALL dealt with front desk employees. So...we all have gotten used to that, right? Of course. There is some kind of comfort in having a front desk employee there. Thats about all the good...I would say lol The BAD! What if you lock your key in your room on accident? You are basically screwed. Not sure if there is a way to contact anyone to get you back in and yes....they are actual keys! Not the little cards we all see at regular, mainstream hotels. I DID! lock my key in the room the following morning. THANKFULLY! there was ONE employee there...BUT she was there to make the continental breakfast...which I will talk about in a min. She was able to give me my spare key. Thank God. If you need something in the middle of the night...oh well. There is no one there to assist you. They tell you where extra towels are and stuff like that on the paper you get when you check yourself in. It's an Inn...and Inn very close to the slopes. So when there is actual snow and the place is packed....I would assume its similar to being in a college dorm lol Don't get me wrong tho, place is very homey. The common room is incredible and I kept imaging it when I was there....FK! this would be so much fun during ski season and this place is full of people! HOWEVER! People drink and drink a lot. The walls here are THIIIIIIIIN!!! So be prepared for that! BRING. EAR. PLUGS! and use the in room ac unit for the fan to drown out noise from other rooms. You will need it. The views from the rooms are beyond incredible. I have some attached. Beautiful views of the slopes and in the Fall...the colors. The breakfast! FKN! INCREDIBLE!!! She put out all the basics, bagels and whatnot, full muffins...amazing! She made these cinnamon muffins....SO. GOOD!! I too a few home with me to give to my mom haha! Overall, it's a great place. Really is. I would definitely stay again. OH! They allow dogs....for a fee of course...even the super tiny ones. They will know too if you have a dog with you. Cameras....everywhere. It's located on a busy road..so keep a close eye on those pups. The grounds around the Inn are amazing. Cute little pond out back, sitting areas all around. It's a wonderful place. I would definitely recommend this place to anyone going through Manchester or anywhere near there. Very unique experience. I honestly can't remember ever staying at an Inn before. My kids loved the inn and the great room gave us a wonderful place to connect with cousins but...there is very little soundproofing in the rooms and, as a result, it was a bit stressful to try to keep our two (under ten) quite enough that we felt we weren't disturbing other guests. We had issues with the Roku television maintaining a connection to the internet and the hot tub (while lovely) is directly outside a room - you can see into the room while you're sitting in the hot tub. Most other guests seemed understanding...but we definitely got a few frustrated glares.

Sitting in the tavern, we had some of the best cosmopolitans I've ever had. During our three different times having dinner there each meal was yummy, chosen from a lot of great options. This last visit we indulged in a bunch of dessert choices; all good but the cheesecake and the peanut butter and chocolate desserts were out of this world! Bruce and Emily and the staff, plus their three beautiful girls, make this a great experience. It is a sweet combination of a step back in time in a relaxing setting with more current cuisine options. We can't wait for the patio to open.
