Jeremy prides himself in excellent customer service and is extremely knowledgeable about the boards and paddles that he carries. There is a lot of science behind the paddles and I wasn't aware of the amount of detail and research that goes into it. Olympus also does a lot of snowboard rentals too, which I may consider for the first time since I was younger. I just feel rusty at it, that's all. They are highly knowledgeable in the sport and go out of their way to satisfy your needs. I own a K2 party platter powder board and was shopping around for a park board. I've always had awesome experiences at Olympus! Jeremy the owner is super knowledgable, friendly, and passionate. First time I walked in just to check the place out I ended sticking around for an hour just talking to him even though I wasn't there to buy anything. I went back recently to get some repairs done on my board, and Rafa and Jeff working in the shop are incredible. Not only were they able to complete my repairs right there while I waited, they answered all my questions about snowboard tuning and gave me some advice on how to do some more minor repairs myself. I don't think I'll go anywhere else for SUP rentals. I've used Olympus 4 times this summer. They are friendly, informative, and punctual. I like that they bring all the equipment to the dock. Olympus board shop is the best place in the area to rent from. Every summer my family and I rent from Jeremy at least 3-4 times and he's always in an upbeat mood and is fun to be around and talk to when he's not busy getting more people on the water. His rental rate of 25/ 2 hours is hard to beat and gives plenty of time to paddle around the Redondo marina which is where he launches from. From the very start Jeremy was honest with us our first time going out. Other places may charge for beginner lessons which Jeremy showed is in 1 minute how to stand up from sitting and which part to paddle with. Jeremy is the best at what he does and we will continue to rent with him until we buy our own paddle boards. read more

Jeremy and his team of very experienced staff completely changed my snowboarding experience! Back when, I used to just kind of like snowboarding. Then I heard of the ability to demo boards to find the best fit. These guys were super patient, changed up my stance to a very natural position, which saved my knees, and ultimately got me into the best board for me...happened to be from Never Summer. After a couple demos, I was in love with my West! It has a completely different feel than my old Burton. It's almost impossible to catch an edge so now I'm smiling down the whole mountain, screaming for joy at times! Yes, I know snowboarding season is over here in Southern California but that doesn't mean you should neglect your snowboards! I took my snowboard here to get waxed before my last trip to Mammoth. The owner, Jeremy, and his staff was very helpful and friendly. Jeremy suggested a couple of different settings for my board to improve on jumping and carving. I was able to fix the stance in Mammoth and it really did help out. He also suggested having it tuned up the next time because I beat up my board so bad, so I'll definitely be back soon for that. I brought along a friend with me because he was looking for a new snowboard and Jeremy gave him a really good deal on a new one. If my board wasn't still pretty new, I would've bought one too. This review update is totally for a different thing, but still a solid 5 stars for customer service and adventure. Wow!!! My first SUP! Jeremy was super friendly! I never got interested in doing anything with water or ocean, but as soon as I saw his pic with the blue whale, I was so eager to join him on his next expedition to catch them on their migration, so I waited almost a year. Well, the time finally came, we ventured out but we didn't get to see the blue whales, it was so far out of the ocean. The group decided to hang out in the middle of the ocean, just pretty much chatting and sharing cookies. I was almost bailing out on this because I didn't take any lesson before this adventure, but Jeremy assured me that it would be fine, hence he gave me a longer board than my friend who has taken lesson before, to give me more stability. It was totally working, I loved this experience, though the deep water kinda scared me and the waves from the big boat, but he was so encouraging, I might end up doing it again sometime in the future. read more

AMAZING ! what more can I say ? This review is for the stand up Paddle board tour around Palos Verdes. Jeremy and Taco were awesome at giving instructions and taking the time with each one in our group. Everyone felt comfortable and at ease in the water. We were all up and doing it in no time at all. Only one person couldn't stand up in the whole group of 10 that went and that was due to his weight and size. They provided the Lesson, the rental of the boards, even wet suits and a guided tour , Well worth the price. I highly recommend these guys if you want a killer work out and are looking to try stand up paddle boarding. Some of us were able to jump off and do a little snorkeling near the kelp beds and that was cool. They have everything on a big mobile trailer and when your on the water they have dry bags for your phones and keys, they thought of everything. Everyone in our group had a blast and you will too.... give it try you wont be disappointed... 5 solid stars awesome customer service. read more

The people here are friendly and give good instruction. My second time out doing SUP aka Stand Up Paddle Boarding. Helen G. Set up the appointment and told them about my situation. I had tried it before but was unsuccessful and I was so bothered by it I didn't want to try it again. Granted my first experience sucked I didn't really get proper training on how to do it plus maybe my weight had something to do with it at that previous time. These ladies were helpful and they were really encouraging and I got an extra wide board for my situation and ultimately I had a great time. I was successful and enjoyed my time in the ocean. They also do yoga classes which I watched a class in session. Maybe a few more SUP before I try the yoga. Two thumbs up to these people! read more

I like this shop. Honestly. There are not that many locations in the South Bay that sells snowboarding equipment and I found this little gem over 10 years ago. I bought my first board here. I take people here to get their rental gear. I have called a few times and the guy answering the phone did not have the best phone etiquette, but that's to be expected. The staff working there are all boarders of some sort and it's not like this a corporate job so they might be a bit rough around the edges. read more
