Food was very good and server was attentive. We would eat there again when staying at the hotel. By the time we finished it got pretty busy with a group coming in at one time. We shared the calamari and it tasted fresh and crispy. My ribeye was cooked perfectly and my wife had the salmon and said it was very good. No dessert. We had a bottle of the josh chardonnay and a great price at $35. Would recommend. read more

I'm sorry, but this was one of the absolute worst dining experiences of my life. From the ear-splitting noise level to the *still-raw* burger that came out when it'd been ordered Medium-Well. Sent it back and waited so long, we had to take it to the room. My husband didn't want to eat the re-do burger, he said it was so bad- and he's not one to complain about food. My salad lettuce was brown and the "steak" that was supposed to top it was actually chopped up hamburger patty that looked like dog food. Immediately lost my appetite. Shocked they actually served it looking like it did. Both my kids' stomachs were upset after eating their food; they couldn't finish their plates. Could barely cut into my daughter's broccoli for her; felt like we were trying to play kitchen with her little plastic food. I will say, the one poor waitress was absolutely working her butt off; they were extremely understaffed. This establishment needs some serious help. read more

Had been driving 9 hrs from NC to FL. Waited about 15 min to be seated. Waitedanother 15min to have our order take. Waited approx 50 min for our food to arrive (burger-$12 and chicken quesadillas-$14). Burger was... well... a burger. Good, but nothing special. Wife said the quesadillas were good Bit into one of the fries, and the center was still cold (Had noticed that the table next to us had left an entire basketlof fries when they got up?) Told waitress about cold fries, and 15 min later I had batch of fresh hot fries Was very tired and very done by this time. We recently had lunch at this Omaha. We've been going there for many years and always ordered the homemade chips appetizer that was loaded with blue cheese, shallots, etc and a main course of a caesar steak salad. The server told us the chips were always very popular. That day we learned a new manager had recently taken over and did away with the chips. Then we found out they substituted the strips of steak on the salad for a different cut of ground up steak. We were extremely disappointed at these changes. We ended up getting their burgers - which were fine - but could not believe they changed these popular menu selections after all these years. The service was good but the kitchen put the sauces on our burgers when we had ordered them to be on the side. Why do new people come in and think they have to change things? The answer is almost always - money. They probably decided it cut their costs. Don't know if we'll go back. It was nice while it lasted. read more

The waitress was very attentive and that was unexpected. I would be happy to come back here . It is inside the Embassy Suites hotel. We were quickly seated and we both ordered the steak sandwich which came with a side of freshly made to order Parmesan chips. When checking in with Yelp you have the choice of a free draft beer, wine or dessert. I chose the wine. The steak sandwich was a banger tender & cooked to order with swiss cheese and mushrooms. The service was outstanding, very professional, courteous, kind make sure that we were being attended the right way made sure that if we need water they will give us a water without us, asking the drinks were just fabulous strongly recommend this restaurant. We tried this restaurant twice during our stay and were disappointed both times. My kid asked for lemonade and both times they said they had "run out" for the day. The first time was 8pm, the second visit was about 5:30. Why can't they make more?? Still, substandard for a Hilton Embassy. The food was just ok; overpriced hotel food. Agreed with the reviews here that the kitchen overcooks. I ordered Medium well and it was well-done dry. Both nights my dish was missing the coleslaw it's supposed to come with. I ordered a beer and one of the nights they didn't bring a bottle opener. They won't substitute the fries for a salad. I would no recommend anyone drives here for this restaurant. There's better steakhouses around. The sweet potato wedges are a good idea but some were undercooked. read more

I had to asked one of the servers to be seated and then was told that there was a 40 minute wait with a restaurant not even 40% full. Took a look at the previous reviews and decided to give this place a shot. The food was EXCELLENT. I chose the NY strip and it was cooked perfectly. The baked potato was wonderful as well. As a bartender I would consider watching the advertising of "generous pours". The cocktails I received were tremendously over poured and the flavor wasn't properly mixed until the very bottom. I would make sure the bartenders understand the recipes for the menu items to avoid any issues. Knowing the difference between single and doubles. You'll also save money on alcohol as well. I'd consider just having drinks on the rocks for the more "generous" pours. read more

I was truly and awfully surprised by this restaurant. I saw the negative reviews but considered going because I was given a free appetizer coupon by the generous hotel staff. The manager was quick to inform me when I presented the coupon that they had nothing to do with the Embassy Suites, and after the treatment I received I can't say I'm entirely surprised. The Embassy Suites has been nothing but wonderful, but the Omaha Steak House is not worth it even with a free coupon. The amount of hassle that I underwent was outrageous and almost entirely alien at a time when customer service seems to be the focus again. The manager consistently talked down to me, and then tossed the reduced check on my table without so much as a goodbye or passing glance. The food was thoroughly passable. Nothing to write home about but nothing exceptional either. The blue cheese chips were good. The most truly surprising thing was that the restaurant manager seemed to go to the hotel manager to complain about the coupon as soon as I left the restaurant. I understand how stressful it is to run a business, but now I understand the 2 star review but it already has on Yelp. Our server was absolutely fine. No problems whatsoever :-). If you don't have a coupon or don't have to deal with any managers you will probably be fine, but I hope this serves as a warning to anyone who values customer service in the Modern Age. It's a shame, I love Omaha steaks and I have found it to be never fail, but I felt my steak salad was mediocre. The steak didn't have amazing flavor, blue cheese and balsamic were on point and maybe that's what they were hoping....the dressings would help towards a dull meal. My bartender Sarah was great! Very helpful and really tried to make the experience great. I think the kitchen likes to office a butter shallot sauce for the bread, but being that I ask for dressing on the side I wasn't expecting my bread soaked in butter. I did receive plain bread and that's just what is was....plain...nothing that would make me ask for it again. that will help the carb diet. Overall, not happy w how the steak was cooked, sent it back once and it looked the same. I ate around the very red areas, but left most there. My family and I ate here three times (three nights in a row, actually) nearly two weeks ago since a few family members were staying at the Embassy Suites hotel. I really enjoyed my food each time. During the first visit, I had the Uncommon Club (chicken, roasted red pepper, chili lime garlic mayonnaise and avocado on foccacia bread). I think this was my favorite out of everything that I tried during the trips here. I had the shrimp quesadillas the next night; they were decent, though I think that I was expecting more. I like my quesadillas to be very cheesy and this one really wasn't. It definitely could've used more cheese, though I still ate all of it. The third time we had dinner here, I had a burger with Cheddar cheese, onion rings and BBQ sauce. It was good, though definitely not the best burger I've ever had. Still, all of it ended up being eaten. There were some mixed reviews as far as what the others I was with felt about their food. My aunt and uncle seemed to love this place and didn't have a single bad thing to say, whereas my mother didn't seem to think the steak she ordered on one visit was worth the price. I also remember her saying that it wasn't prepared correctly. Another of my uncles said that his steak here was just fine, so I'm not sure what happened with my mother's. You probably can get some good drinks here, too. One of my uncles is very much into martinis and ordered a few for he and I one night. I don't know much about those things, but mine was potent. We also had a Manhattan during another trip here, and that one was fantastic. The prices here seem to be a little steep but I seemed to think that the food and experience was worth it. There also is a cozy patio outside of the bar. It mostly was a little cool when we were here so much a few weeks ago, so the weather made sitting outside a little bit of an endeavor, but it probably is a nice spot to be at during the warmer months. I remember sitting out there in June/July 2009 and it was nice. I'm not sure if you really could sit outside and have a meal since the patio doesn't seem to have the tables that the restaurant's interior does, but you definitely can sit outside and relax and enjoy cocktails. Besides the fact that the host didn't even seem to want to seat us, we waited forever for a server and for drinks. Then we got an appetizer that was nothing like the description. Not even remotely close. We then had a double burger ordered - rare - we got a single burger, medium well. We had a baked potato with cheese ordered - no cheese. Then someone came out and said sorry, they can't make a rare burger. Eventually they sent out another burger - still not the double we ordered and they forgot the egg on it and it was well done. Asked for a manager and that took 15 minutes. They didn't discount the price or anything. Just said - oops. They really don't care how they mess up an order and do nothing to make amends. Was staying at the Embassy Suites on business and we chose to eat at Omaha Steakhouse for dinner. While the restaurant was nice, there was a lot of folks there. The prices were decent and they offered a nice selection. I chose the 2 patty hamburger with bleu cheese and bacon w/fries. Overall the hamburger was good but there is a couple of restaurants in the area that offer similar hamburgers and a lesser price. I'm thinking this might be a more of a convenient location restaurant at best, overall I would go back if I was staying at the Embassy but otherwise I would find somewhere else to eat. read more

I typically stay at the Embassy Suites were Omaha is located when I am in town on business. Ive eaten here 2 times both of them room service. The first time we had a steak salad and a chicken dish. The steak on the salad was over cooked and the salad did not come with dressing. The chicken dish was ok but hardly memorable. Last night I just had some homemade chips with blue cheese sauce and a molten lava cake. The chips were pretty good and would definatley get them again. The Lava Cake however was not molten and I dont think the outside was cooked all the way either. It came with some soft freezer burned ice cream. My advice is either go to the place and dont get room service or go somewhere else. There are plenty of places close to the hotel. read more

This is a steak house with access to decent steaks. But come on guys help a steak out will ya! I ordered steak, broccoli, mashed potatoes. The steak came in a warmed but not hot plate. The broccoli which was simply steamed, was on an un-warmed plate so had to gobble it down before it got too cold. The mash was watery and not seasoned. I think that plate was only slightly warmed, definitely not warmed enough. I was hungry so ordered creme brûlée... it was ok. For the money I felt the meal was disappointing and I won't eat here again .... ever. Loads of other dining places close to hotel. read more
