We enjoy coming to this Gators in Winter Springs for a variety of reasons. They have specials on food and drinks almost every night. They have a great kids night on Tuesdays where kids eat free with a paid adult. They have a face painter who will paint almost anything including a chicken dressed as a banana! Bingo is also on a fun addition to Tuesday nights to win Gators gift cards. It's free to play and starts at 7pm. Of course you can't go wrong with the wings here which is what Gators is known for. I recently discovered the birria quesadilla which I really enjoy as the beef is very tender. I get the shareable portion which is a few dollars extra. The $1 side of guacamole isn't very good (it's like it came out of a tube) so I stick with the dipping stew that comes with it and it's perfect! Fries and sweet potato fries are crispy and delicious to go along with any meal. Drinks wise, I love any of their cold beers and their house Merlot isn't too bad either. read more

It's Tuesday, December 2, 2025. Just left our dentist office where we had our 6 month cleaning. Now it's time for some good fun, food and a couple of dirty martinis! Many of the regulars are here. Unfortunately, there are no seats at the bar! No problem, we sat at one of the high-top tables. I immediately started to play some great tunes on the Touch Tunes Box from the app on my phone. Very soon our server, Alia was table side to take our order for drinks and food. Alia was an absolute delight; very friendly and attentive. Our food came out fairly quickly. We were so hungry that I just didn't think about taking the time to take pictures, but my hubby ordered ribs with Dr. Pepper Bar-B-Q sauce, fries and slaw. Don't scoff at Dr Pepper Bar-B-Q sauce, it's delicious! I ordered a hotdog with sauerkraut and fried pickle chips. Yum and yum! Great food, great service and great music. I placed an order online a few minutes before 10pm. I was shopping at Lowe's and decided to order from here as my husband wanted wings and it was on my way home. I got there and the host was super nice; very attentive. The restaurant was clean and not packed. I decided to use the bathroom while I waited and it was clean. My wings came out and off I went. Called in, ordered to go - they were friendly and had the order correct. When I came in, while normally it's no big deal, the front staff was standing around and talking until one noticed me. After that they were quite sweet and very helpful, again repeating back the order correctly. However, sadly when we got home, there was no sauce on the wings! We had to rummage to find some sauce in our house to use. Kinda bummed...but the salad and ahi tuna was good. So there's that! read more

Last time I visited Gators in person was in late 2019. Great experience, wait staff was very helpful, and it was your typical noisy sports bar. Gave off vibes of hole-in-the-wall, but with slightly better food. Fast forward nearly 5 years later, and hubby and I decide we want chicken for dinner, and the boneless wings have some interesting flavors and seemed like a good price for food. So we ordered 20 wings at $27.99. Imagine our surprise when getting our food and seeing the smallest, saddest boneless nuggets we have ever seen. They were each maybe the size of a quarter, and the sauce choices left a lot to be desired. Imagine your ranch and blue cheese dipping sauce containers being bigger than your wings? We ended up throwing them out and going to Huey Magoos where were got 7 full sized tenders, fries, 2 pieces of toast, and a drink for under $20. Save your money and go anywhere else. read more

This place is what I would call ok in a pinch. We were seated promptly and waited on quickly. We waited q long while for our drinks and food to arrive, which surprised me because the table seated after us were served food before our drinks arrived. Got the 2/1 drink with captain morgan and the drink tasted very watered down. I felt like I was drinking watery coke. Soup, burger and boneless wings were good but the chicken salad lacked flavor. The chicken itself was flavorless and there was not enough blue cheese. The dish would have benefitted from some crunchy pecan contrast. As far as surroundings go it was fairly quiet. Table was clean. In a world of many places to eat it wasn't impressive enough for me to care to go back. I say if you are offering a two for one drink, don't water it down. The staff here is friendly and professional and the ambiance is fun and comfortable. Gator's Dockside has multiple locations and honestly, I have never had a negative experience at any of their locations. Their history can be traced back to 1991 and I believe that their first location was in Jacksonville, Florida. They have since spread throughout Florida and I am impressed with the fact that I cannot remember a negative experience at any of their locations. Overall, I would definitely recommend this particular Gator's Dockside and I will give it five stars. read more

This was my first time eating at Gators Dockside and I can't wait to go back. From the food and drinks to the service and entertainment everything was amazing. Rienet was our waitress and she was so friendly and personable. Any questions we had she was able to answer them. I asked her what her recommendations were and I ordered everything she recommended and was so happy with everything! For appetizers we ordered the Gator Tail and the Mozzarella Cheese Sticks. Both were so delicious and fried to perfection. The gator tasted so good and had a nice light chew to it. The gator tail came with their own gator dipping sauce and oh my goodness it was the best! If they sold that sauce I would have bought a gallon of it. The Mozzarella sticks had the perfect cheese pull and a great breading to cheese ratio. For entrees we ordered 5 Nashville Hot, 5 Lemon Pepper, and Chicken Cajun Alfredo. I'm not lying when I say the wings here are the best wings I've ever had! The Nashville Hot had amazing flavor and the perfect amount of heat. The lemon pepper had the perfect amount of seasoning and tasted really good. The Chicken Cajun Alfredo was so creamy and the chicken was cooked perfectly. I loved the garlic bread that accompanied the pasta and it was great for dipping into the Alfredo sauce. My kids ordered the classic burger (bacon added) and the kid's chicken tenders. The chicken tenders were perfectly fried and crispy yet still juicy on the inside. And the classic burger was perfectly cooked with great seasoning and toppings. Their fries here are really good so we ordered more on the side. They are the perfect balance between crispy and soggy and are flavorful especially when dipped in whatever sauce you have on the table. We got a pitcher of Yuengling Beer and it came out nice and cold and the the price I recommend getting a pitcher. Now for the entertainment, they have multiple claw machines and a couple racing games. Thankfully they have an ATM machine so I could withdrawal cash. Anytime there is a claw machine I have to play! I was able to win two prizes so the claw machines here are fair and you can definitely win. I highly recommend eating here and can't wait for the next time I go back. read more

Came with a party of 27 and the service was phenomenal, the food was delicious and the price was great. There are so many choices. I haven't been to a Gators in years and was a little bit hesitant, because I just think of it as a bunch of greasy food. However, they had many options for vegetarians, including buffalo cauliflower, and a super food bowl both of which were delicious. My husband got the wings and really enjoyed them. the cook working at the night shift on 08/30/25 needs to be reprimanded. I order gator tail often from this restaurant and never have I got such a small portion of food. I counted a total of 8 of the tail bites when typically there is upwards of twenty. I believe that they did this simply because I ordered it Togo. other dinners in the restaurant revived full portions in their did in meals. I don't know if it was laziness or targeted to me but it was unprovoked in professional and severely concerning for the quality of service that the restaurant can provide. I would like the owner to to take action and inform his staff that even to go orders are supposed to receive the full portions in their that they paid for. read more

I come here all the time I consider myself a regular until today I will not come back my tender Jabari told me she only served me once. When I know for sure she waited on me a dozen of times I'm an Executive Chef in the industry/ Manager if one of my bartenders ever followed a customer outside while they were going to get funds to pay the bill I would terminate that employee immediately. However Gators has different standards than which the industry practices I left her 25 percent as always but was really disappointed in the intergerity of the companies policies and procedure's . My Dad got the fish tacos, he said he wished he would of chosen the shrimp tacos instead but for the looks of it he must of been hungry because most of it was gone. My other son got the Cajun Alfredo pasta and I am here regretting not tasting it but it was also devoured. I would just discretion that not all their plates are created equal in my opinion so I typically play it safe with my regulars. Oh also if you enjoy French onion soup it's another highly recommended! I haven't had Gators in a long time and from what I remember it wasn't the best experience. Someone suggested we go here for wings and I'm glad we did. The first time we did pick up and the second we used Uber Eats. Both times we had a great experience. We received large amounts of food and it was fresh and hot. The wings were surprisingly really good. The medium buffalo and scooter sauce are bomb. The chicken quesadilla was good, not great and I could skip the fries (bland not really seasoned). First of all, I have no idea how they do it, but they have one of, if not the best Caesar salads I've ever had. I know, I'm boggled too -- the humble Caesar salad consists of very few ingredients so I'm pretty sure they've been sprinkling some black magic on it or something. No idea, but it's really good. Get the blackened chicken, for sure. Second of all, I have eaten many cheesesteaks in my life, and theirs is really damn good. There's a chef at this place who sees my order of "Philly, steak, sautéed onions, and extra cheese" and salutes the American flag as he absolutely slays this sandwich in the name of freedom. It's so melty and juicy and sloppy you'd think you got a sub from your local hidden gem, but no -- it's just Gator's. Pair this sub with their sweet potato fries, and you've got a match made in heaven. I find myself ordering Gators usually when I'm working from home and working late, and their food ALWAYS hits the spot. If you're looking for a place to grab some classic All-American food that is simple but not at all boring, this might be the place for you. read more

It was still raw we got a refund for it and coupons for $10 off and the manager was very un sincere with his apology although our server was very sweet and was very apologetic and disgusted with the food. I always love gators. It's reliable you know ? You can't go wrong with wings, burgers, or a good salad. The chicken tenders were really dry, BUT dousing them in their sauces almost made it worth it. Their honey garlic tastes like chicken with honey that has garlic minced in it ( not too much). Their scooter medium sauce tastes sweet but spicy. It reminds me of an Asian flavor profile. Their ranch is the best as always. Lastly, I got their spinach artichoke dip with pita points. I really liked how the pita was fluffy and the artichoke dip was not lacking spinach or cream cheese! My husband and I live down the road and eat here often. The service is generally good. Tonight, we had excellent service by Jamaury. She was excellent and checked on us often. However, the person who greeted us at the front set a bad tone for the evening. She asked us if she wanted to be seated at a high top or low. I asked for a booth because there were several open and instead of saying we do not have one available sais to us, your options are a hightop or low. I work in Healthcare and not the service industry, but this came off incredibly rude. We chose a hightop and had full view of the open booths we requested where another couple was seated not 5 minutes later. I normally never complain, but had I not been at this location, this type of introduction would have made me not return. Really sad to have to post this cause I've been a loyal customer here for quite some time. But tonight I ordered take out my usual 10 bone in wings all flats half chipotle bbq half sweet bbq. Extra blue cheese. Celery . Extra side of sauce and a basket of fries. I live about 14 min from this location so when I got there I asked the host/server if all the sauces and stuff were for sure in there and she said yes. When I got home none of the sauces made it in or the celery. I called to let them know cause I was charged at least for the blue cheese. The girl apologized and we hung up. I then realized I didn't get all flats in either flavor. I called them up and spoke to the same girl she apologized and I asked if I could come get a fresh order. She said yes. So I drove back with the entire order. When I got there she opened up the box to show me the sauces were in there on top of the wings. I realized I wasn't getting fresh fries even tho now mine had been sitting quite some time during this issue. But whatever I wanted to get home and they gave me two cards with the order saying they were for ten dollars each. Which would be fair considering my total was around 20 bucks and I had to make two trips to get my order. Come to find out they're only 5 dollars each and I've spent more than that this whole night trying to get my food! AND they only gave me 5 new wings! I couldn't tell till I got home and moved the sauces. I feel dumb for not thoroughly checking again but assumed the management would've been involved this time and gotten it right. So now I have 5 new wings of one flavor and cold wings of the other that aren't the flats that I ordered. And still no celery. I won't completely right this spot off but they definitely made me sad tonight in how they handled this. I am a huge fan of Gators Dockside. They have great "bar" food at a great price. I have frequented many locations, this one in particular since it's the closest one to home. Food - A. Their grilled wings are one of my favorite, they have so much flavor. I tend to order the hot garlic ones. I recently tried their gator tail and was pleasantly surprised as to how good it was. I have also had their pork tacos and they are tasty as well. Drinks - A. Beer is always nicely priced. I don't believe I have ever had a liquor drink at a Gators Dockside so I can't comment in that department. Service - B+. The few times I have been to the Red Bug location, I always had great service. Gators Dockside is a great choice if you are wanting to go out to watch a sports game, a jeans and t-shirt night or just to grab a couple drinks. We go there for lunch from time-to-time. First let me say, the food is always consistent. It comes out fresh and no matter how many times I order the same dish, it is consistently delicious. The variety of choice on the menu is outstanding. In these tough times its been common for restaurants to decrease the offerings, and I understand that it has to happen to stay afloat. But Gators has an incredible array of selection! The only reason I can't give it the 5th star is the service can be a bit inconsistent. We've been there when it's busy and the service was outstanding, but we've been there when it's quiet and sometimes it's like they forget about you.
