We've been to Colorado's in the past and remember it being amazing. Since then, things have changed. No longer have the smoked prime rib. All steaks are now on market price and prices are on a tacky TV in the front of the restaurant. I'd recommend a print out with the menus if they must have market price for every steak. I ordered the prime rib melt, the French dip. It was okay, the bread was awful. Clearly not fresh French bread rather a sub roll that tasted like sandwich bread. Also, uncharged for sweet potato fries which is fine but $4 is insane! Especially when the menu said $1.99 for premium sides. Side salad wasn't freshly cut lettuce but lettuce mix that I could get from a grocery store. It seems that they're trying to be high end with pricing but experience isn't showing it. Also, ceiling fans look old and could be an easy upgrade for the restaurant. Only good thing was Kay Kay, our server. She was attentive, and super sweet. read more

I have driven past this restaurant so many times and quite frankly I wasn't even sure that it was open. My coworkers and I came here for a team building event and I pleasantly surprised. The decor is a bit dated but quaint and the service was great. We made it in time for Happy hour and their special was 2 for 1 drinks. We ordered fried pickles and onion rings for the table to share and both were very delicious. For dinner I order the ribeye with broccoli and mashed potatoes. The steak was cooked to perfection, juicy and full of flavor. The sides of broccoli and mashed potatoes were delicious but in my opinion on the smaller side. The service was great. Our server made sure our party had everything we needed, refilling our drinks and bringing out any additional toppings, sauces, ketchup. We have been coming to this place for years and our last visit was extremely disappointing. The service was fantastic. It was the change in the appearance and taste of the food. For example, the potato skins used to be actual potatoes cut in half with lots of generous toppings. This time it was potato shavings with moderate toppings. Used to be a decent steak at a great value. Have been going there for decades. Went last night and the prices are now close to a high end place, but the food quality has actually decreased. Prime rib is no longer smoked (that was their signature dish!) and close to double the price it used to be. My old fashioned tasted like they used brandy instead of whisky. Something about restaurants with outdated decor has some of the best food. I was not prepared for how tender, juicy, and flavorful my little steak was. I also ordered the grilled wings with hot sauce. I think they grilled the hot sauce on the wings and it is surprisingly good. read more

Since the old owner passed away and it's new owner/ management they changed so many of the ingredients and menu that I grew up and my kids grew up loving the Rattlesnake bread is different the ranch is watered down now, the prime ribs are so different and seasoned on the side the French onion soup is watered down to. I can keep going but it's negative and the staff changed also and it's rude staff that take forever to bring you a refill on water. read more

We took our family that is visiting to have a burger. My family has been loving Colorado's for years. We always told everyone they had the absolute best burgers. But, everyone's burgers were dry and overcooked. They have shrunk the burger size and raised the price. disappointing. read more

Colorado's is our go-to restaurant. We probably go about every other week. We went last night and I got the prime rib sandwich. It was the first time I tried it, and it was excellent. I only ate half of it, and brought the rest home. My sweet pit bull ended up getting half of my leftovers, because she's the most spoiled dog ever. Now it's the next morning, and I'm wishing I had the other half of that sandwich. So I think later today I have to go back and get another one. Adrianna was our server. We usually have her when we go, and as usual, she was outstanding... making sure we had everything we needed, but not overbearing. Just good, friendly service. read more

Not the same restaurant as it once was. I think the quality went down and the prices went up. Eaten there three/four times under new mgnt. Service is good but food is just not going to make it. Kitchen is very slow. Got the feeling that they are under staffed. The water has got a nasty smell and taste to it. On the positive side there are a few good dishes there are different but again the prices are $$$. Artichoke hearts appetizers excellent. The fried button mushrooms are real good Wish them well! Found this place from a tik tok review. I ordered fried onion rings, they crispy and were good, French onion soup also good. My ribeye was juicy but no flavor! How's that possible. My wife's steak was juicy as well but no flavor I ordered name brand vodka and I received some cheap house stock. The water they served tasted like sink water. Was definitely disappointed. We had an opportunity to visit Colorado Steak House this evening. We have been waiting to try this location for some time. Customer service was great. Seated immediately for a 6pm dinner on a Friday night. Steady pace of customers. My wife orders a Colorado Mule, was tasty, but, a little to sweet for her. We ordered an onion soup to begin with; was hot and great cheese pull. Excellent. Was not overly seasoned. My entree came with a Caesar salad; very peppery. I had the 16 oz Prime Rib; very tender. Good portion. Came with a loaded BP and rattle snake bread. Very tasty. Garlic and cheese bread. Cannot go wrong. My wife ordered the grand junction; came with wings, ribs, and potato skins. Ribs were phenomenal and wings were delicious. Skins were luke warm and not tasty. For dessert, we had the peanut butter pie. It was not homemade. Something you can get out of the freezer section of a grocery store. Overall, food was decent. I would go here before I would go to a Texas Road House. read more

Group lunches at any Steak House can be a challenge and the staff at Colorado's Prime Steak was up to meet & beat that challenge! There had to be at least 20 people between our two tables. Our main server was assisted by two other employees which is wonderful to see with so many local establishments short staffed. Our party trickled in and everyone was taken care of fairly promptly. Most of us started off with the house Chardonnay or White Zin which was a two for one offer, tasty, and smooth. The menu is so big that you need a sip while you peruse. We opted out of appetizers but a friend of mine tells me the fried mushrooms are to die for. As this was a lunchtime affair I contemplated the Unlimited soup & salad, a great deal for the price, but ultimately decided on the highly recommend white fish entree. You can have it cooked one of three ways, I chose blackened and another friend got hers pan fried. Both were good although mine looked flatter. I also had a delicious house salad with raspberry vinaigrette and a loaded baked potato. I was so stuffed! Another tablemate ordered a bowl of chili and it was huge! I smelled it as our server passed the bowl and it smelled amazing. My stomach growled immediately. It was topped with shredded cheese, green onions, and sour cream. Yum! A couple sitting by me tried the rib eye sandwich with fries. Again, it looked and smelled delicious. The decor is definitely hunter meets Ansel Adams, not for PETA people. This used to be one of my favorite places but I'm very disappointed in the changes the new owner has made and I am afraid I will never return. It started out small, with replacing the delicious homemade croutons with tasteless rocks. Then they refused to allow a couple to share a bogo happy hour drink, then they did away with top shelf happy hour on Tuesdays, but the final straw was the price on the menu said $7.49 but when the bill came, we were charged $8.99. We ordered 2, and while $3 isn't much, I felt they should honor the menu price. How hard is it to print a flyer and insert it into the menu with updated prices? I've passed this place so many times, but have never stopped by. My girlfriend picked the dinner spot and at first I was not having it, but she told me it was really good. The place was dead, not the best sign, but it was a weekday so I put my judgement aside. Our server was great. My friend told him it was my first time, so he went over the menu with me. I ordered the ranch chicken sandwich and choose a caesar salad as my side for a $1.50 up charge. My friend warned me the croutons were addicting! By far some of the best croutons I've ever had. We asked for an extra bowl of them! The chicken sandwich was awesome. Just the right amount of breading and so juicy. The bacon was nice and crispy. The ranch is served on the side to allow for your desired amount. It's so good I've been three more times and have ordered it all but my last time. Unfortunately, our last experience wasn't so great. The place was packed. It was a Friday night so I'd expect nothing less, but we were still seated immediately. Our server seemed off. Like he was new and nervous. Unfortunately he had a lot of tables and maybe this had something to do with being extremely forgetful. Even taking it upon himself to put an order in without checking back with us regarding a question we had first. This time I went with the dark horse saloon sandwich. This is supposed to be their speciality. It was so bland and dry. There was way to much bread and the smallest piece of ribeye steak. The steak wasn't bad, but nothing I'd order alone. I had to drench it in A-1 to make it edible, but inevitably left most of it on the plate. My friend's fettuccine was also off. We still enjoyed the salads and french onion soup. We went on a recommendation of a friend. I had some reservations going in after reading reviews. The place is dirty. Sitting waiting for our table, I was looking at the front door...just really dirty. Booth seat was dirty, with lots of crumbs in the seat crease. Service was extremely slow. I got the Lil steak. It was good. We had potato skin apps and the snake bread. Those were ok. Hubs got the chili which he said was pretty good. Steak order for don was messed up, he ordered prime rib but received rib eye. They adjusted price and my son kept the meal. Seems like the waitress added on fried mushroom app to our order at the end bc it was one of the last items on our ticket. A very good Saturday night dinner! Great service from the welcoming hostess. It was packed but we only waited 15 minutes. There was space at the bar. We waited just a bit before our server, Chris greeted us. He was very personable and engaged the entire table including my 10 year old. I ordered a margarita and my husband had a mai tai. Guess what? He slipped me in to get happy hour (2for1):) All the drinks were fantastic! Appetizers- smoked rib basket with fries. Nice flavor, tender and lightly blasted. Good flavor (inspired a dinner order) Chicken SW egg rolls (can't remember the official name). Crisp outside and good flavor. Chili- enjoyable. Nice and thick. Salad-crisp vegetables, croutons and housemade dressing. The chunks of blue cheese was yummy. Rolls- warm, butter topped, a little melted cheese and herbs. Almost as good as hot yeast rolls. Pork chop- Amazing! Brined 24 hours, basted in brown sugar marinade and wrapped in saran wrap for 12 hours and then grilled. It was thick and cooked perfectly! I have been passing this place for 20 years, but never stopped. Today I wanted a steak, and ordered to go. I had a sirloin that was cooked perfect, it came with a salad and a baked potato. This is an old school steak house like I remember as a kid. I had the Ceasar salad, it was fine, and the potato was as I expected. I would eat here again, and I imagine its better eating in. My husband had been here one time before for lunch a few months ago. He told me about the $9.99 Lil Steak (6 oz). So, naturally I said let's go for dinner. We shared the bigger ribeye steak (12oz). It was delicious and so worth the price, but he seemed to like the smaller portion steak better. It ends up being the same amount since the one we shared was twice as big for twice the amount of the smaller one. Great steak for a great price! I would come here again and recommend it. Our server was friendly. It was quiet for a weekend dinner night, but that was fine with me. I think this is a hidden gem. Sadly, Meh. Really wanted a ribeye and based on reviews I selected this spot for a delivery order. I thought the size of the steak would be perfect for one and it was, but unfortunately true to other reviews the quality was not on par with what you would expect from a place like this. It was also overcooked. I understand that delivery could have impacted this, but the chewiness proves it was simply well past the requested medium. The wedge salad was a large portion with a beautiful homemade blue cheese and the fried green tomatoes were a great starter with enough to share. But the star was the steak and it just didn't shine. Mushroom topping is delicious and perfectly prepared. The fries were decent. Wish it was entirely worth the price. Hate to leave a negative review in these times. read more

The time it took to get past the bread course and actually get some food was terrible. Ever since the new owner took over, A large friendly man named Paddy the food quality has changed. The sausage stuffed mushrooms went way down hill. They are not prepared the same, the mushrooms were tiny and the sausage was not the same, tasteless and had a cheap bready texture. They use to be stuffed but now it comes like lasagna, layered, it was not good at all. The size of the salads we ordered were much smaller and the bacon they used also was not the same. Paddy the owner came over to all the tables and apologized for the delay but guess what, it wasn't that busy. He asked us to get with him if we were not happy, we asked for him but he never showed up, lol. We saw him at the bar talking to someone laughing and having a good old time. We skipped my favorite Italian place to come here instead, we all regretted the choice I made. This place use to be a 4 but now its barely a 1 to a 2. The young black host was quick and friendly and the waitress was the same but other than that we were very displeased with the experience. Not to mention they sat a drunk couple behind us where the woman was cussing like a sailor every other word. The kids were getting an ear full so I turned around and let them know the language and the volume had to change or I would have to become pro-active, lol.
