    New England Lobster Roll
    John C.

We found the BoVine steakhouse by chance when looking for places to go for brunch on a Sunday. It was empty except for 4 very loud people at the bar, so we decided to sit outside. We ordered the New England Lobster Roll, The Chicken Salad Croissant, and an order of the Salt Brined Fries. The Lobster Roll had quite a bit of lobster claw meat and tasted great. The Chicken Salad Croissant was loaded with chicken salad and was also very good. The only issue was there was no way the croissant was going to hold and support all that chicken salad, so it became more of a salad plate after it fell apart. The fries were nice and crispy, and we enjoyed our visit to the BoVine Steakhouse for Sunday Brunch.

We had Mother's Day brunch here and it was a good experience. Service was friendly, but slow. Our table had two seats against pillars and it was difficult to fully seat everyone. We had to move chairs around to be comfortable. The ambiance was nice. I enjoyed a cappuccino. For my entree, I got the lobster eggs Benedict with breakfast potatoes. The dish was solid with tender lobster and plenty of toppings. However, it wasn't hot enough. My family enjoyed the veggie omelette, French onion soup, and seafood. I did order a sangria, but it never came. While the ambience and food is good, the service is lacking for a steakhouse.

Finally had the opportunity to Magical Dine !!! In Beautiful Winter Park on Park Ave. Parking spot in front a major score. Patio area is really cute outside in the fresh air, the ground was wet it had been raining earlier, The hostess greeted us with a smile and we were all very pleased with how soon after our arrival we were able to be seated and placed our drink orders. A great spot for date night, low lighting, soft music really romantic vibes ! Steaks, Pork Chop, & Egg rolls all prepared Excellent chefs kiss

We stopped at Bovine while strolling down Park Ave looking for a place to eat. The restaurant was well decorated. We sat outside as the setup was comfortable and inviting. We decided to check out their happy hour which had some decent deals. The food was decent but not impressive from a flavor perspective. The server was friendly and helpful. I may return for dinner to get the full dining experience.

BoVine Steakhouse completely blew us away and easily ranks as one of the best dining experiences on Park Avenue. We kicked things off with their warm, pillowy dinner rolls served with whipped butter and an incredible, crispy amuse-bouche topped with fresh tomato and flash-fried basil. Next came a phenomenal Caesar salad we split which featured crisp romaine perfectly tossed in a creamy dressing and buried under a generous mountain of savory breadcrumbs and finely shaved Parmesan. The main course and sides were a masterclass in steakhouse execution. The filet mignon was absolute perfection--boasting a beautifully seasoned, hard-sear crust, add a luscious glisten of butter, and an incredibly tender interior that melted. Paired with massive, beautifully charred jumbo asparagus spears and a piping-hot tin of crispy truffle ries, the meal was flawless from start to finish. It's a premium experience that is worth every single penny for a special night out.

If I could give this place no stars I would. I went to Bovine Steakhouse for the first time, and honestly, I wouldn't go back. The appetizers were just okay, but nothing was hot or worth the high prices. My steak (a medium filet mignon) was bland, chewy, and came out cold with no flavor whatsoever. On top of that, nearly everyone at our table had issues with their orders -- from missing items to cocktails that tasted watered down. Service was just as disappointing. Our waiter, Scottie, took over 45 minutes to bring the check even after we asked multiple times. I requested a manager twice, and not once did anyone come to the table during our three-hour visit. I had ordered shrimp to pair with my steak, which was never brought to me. When I pointed it out, Scottie told me he'd bring me an "extra" shrimp -- but it wasn't extra, it was the one I never got. He had actually given it to the birthday guest at our table, then still charged her for it even though she didn't order or eat it. The restaurant might look big in the back, but the food, service, and management do not live up to hype. Ambiance was not worth it! Save your gas! If you value quality food and customer service, I'd recommend skipping this place.

Terrible food, atrocious service, and an un appealing atmosphere. Let's start off with the service as this was the worst of all. Even though the restaurant is almost always empty, staff are loudly cussing, talking poorly about the customers that are in the restaurant, and also making inappropriate jokes the whole time. For a place considered a high-end steakhouse in the city, this is as far from it as it can get. Also, don't expect to be checked on at all during your meal. Next, the atmosphere is terrible. It is way too dark in the restaurant to be able to see anything, the lights on the table are exceptionally dim. Last, the food is really bad and expensive for what you get. For a $21 shrimp cocktail, the dish came out with three shrimp, and the shrimp had an incredibly fishy smell as well as a rubbery texture. It tasted like something you might get from a grocery store. Next, the French onion soup was actually the best dish of the night, even though the top of the French onion soup was rock, solid with bread and cheese that had not fully melted. It was also way too salty and did not have much of an onion flavor. However, like I said, this was the best dish of the night. Lastly was the lobster roll. This restaurant barely uses any real lobster as a few pieces of lobster on top are quickly overshadowed find an imitation lobster that is throughout the rest of the sandwich. The lobster itself did not taste fresh, and there were pieces of the exoskeleton throughout the sandwich, which led to many times having to pick out those pieces as you are eating. The fries are also not even crispy, and the restaurant does not have any other dipping options besides ketchup. Overall, this was just a terrible restaurant, and I would not suggest it to anyone.

I have read some of the recent poor reviews of Bovine and I could not disagree more. First let's start with magical dining. Every year I say I am not going to participate because in most cases the restaurants treat you like second class. Bovine did not do that. Then the hostess, Aris (sp?) was so friendly, accommodating and kind. I felt immediately like I was in a high end establishment just with her demeanor. Then our server, Scottie, he was very chatty and funny. My husband and I really enjoyed him, the rest of our party not so much. He may have pushed his jokes with us a little but again we enjoyed it and felt like it was all in good fun. He also presented us with all the options. Both magical dining and the full menu. Being on a diet and having goals for myself I don't eat as much as I once did, that's my main attraction to magical dining- an opportunity to try something new without having to waste a lot of food. So my husband and I ordered a little from both menus. I thought the restaurant was gorgeous. Being of a certain age, the lighting could have been a little brighter- I did need my phone to read the menu. But it was romantic. Someone else commented they didn't care for the lack of music, I appreciated it - we were able to talk and really enjoy ourselves with our friends. My pictures do not do the food any justice but everything was very good and we will certainly be back. We ran into Scottie outside when we left and he was just as kind and friendly as when we were at his table. 5 stars for him alone!

I enjoyed a very nice dinner at BoVine steakhouse tonight. The steak was perfectly cooked and nicely seasoned. The atmosphere was very pleasant and relaxing, while the place was busy they allow sufficient space between tables to not disturb anyone. The service was excellent with the server offering wine selections as well as food pairing suggestions. We shared a delicious cheesecake because we couldn't eat much more after the steaks. We had a great meal and would highly recommend this place. Winter Park is an awesome spot to visit.

Had a great visit to this Winter Park hot spot. John, the bartender and mixologist was amazing and provided us with excellent service! The specially crafted cocktails he made were amazing. And his espresso martinis were awesome! Restaurant has an upscale vibe and dark, moody atmosphere. Was very clean and well kept. The simply grilled salmon was delicious. The star of the show was the lobster roll. I would definitely come back to have that again. Overall good experience and I would recommend.

Seabass Tacos and House Salad with house made Greek dressing

BoVine's gives classic steakhouse vibe and is a gem for their brunch which is served from 0830 to 1400. They said reservations were not necessary; however they filled up quickly for lunch on a Thursday. Our waiter Henry made sure our lunch was exceptionally timed, and the food was superb. I had the Fish Tacos with sea bass but they also have several other fish options. It was an exceptional and flavorful bite! My son enjoyed the Caesar Salad with a filet of salmon the size of a Volkswagen and he said their house made dressing was the best he ever had. Enjoy a Negroni from the bar. They are crafted excellently!

I went with a large group for weekend brunch. The menu is extensive. They serve brunch and lunch items. Everyone in my group really enjoyed their meals. Service was excellent. They mixed up one of the items but quickly fixed that issue. I had the club sandwich which was delicious and had the best rye bread I've ever tried. I also had the French fries that were so perfectly cooked and seasoned. The only thing I wish is that they had some music playing because it was so quiet. Otherwise everything was great and I would go back. Parking can be difficult to find on Park Ave but we found a spot in one of the free parking lots around the corner.

The skimpy amount of seafood I got was not good, not cooked well, or served with undercooked potatoes. It shook me. Especially for a Winter Park restaurant. After my five year statute of limitations passed on repeating restaurants, I looked for the perfect opportunity to come back and try again. I found that opportunity recently with a few friends for brunch. Their brunch menu looked amazing, so we made our reservation and came on by. Ambiance is actually really nice. Right off one of the main WP roads, gigantic windows look out upon the street as passersby roam from shop to shop. Inside looks like an ocean-side sea shack, but an upper middle class one. Very nice little ocean-themed chotchkies adorn the walls, very cozy. Service was also great. Very nice server, very prompt food delivery, and they gave complimentary bread with a delightful butter. I always adore free bread. We started off sharing the Seafood Fritters (Four savory puppies, stuffed with lobster, shrimp, scallops, clams, grouper, onions, corn, poblano peppers, served with a zesty tartar sauce). If all five of those seafoods really were in there, there must have been only a few molecules each, but there was undoubtedly flavors from most of that list, and they were accentuated with the poblano. Topped with that zesty tartar, and this was an A+ app. I had the Lobster Benedict Royale (Chunks of Maine lobster on fried green tomatoes & house-baked buttermilk biscuits, topped with poached eggs & Hollandaise, sprinkled with paprika & chopped green onions). This was indulgent. Pure luxury. A warm biscuit with a good flakiness, that fried green tomato with the perfect thickness and thin, delicate coating, and those perfectly cooked jumbo chunks of lobster on top, all covered in an unctuous Hollandaise. Exactly as it sounds, as advertised, the perfect seafood brunch item. I also got to try the Shrimp Frittata (Wild-caught Florida shrimp, fresh eggs, spinach, Campari tomatoes, goat cheese, caramelized onions, baked in a cast-iron skillet, with wheat toast, butter & a little mixed green salad). This was a fun dish. Good shrimps, well-cooked eggs, a nice tang from that goat, and of course a nice crunchy toast to help make it even more interesting. I didn't like that random salad on the side. Just get bigger cast irons and make the frittata bigger. Overall, what a redemption. I'm not sure what was wrong back in the day, but this is a five star place now that I will happily return to when it's time.

No flavor at all. Let me start with the coconut shrimp, no flavor just drop fried. French fries were good but no seasoning. The lobster bisk was horrible. Again no flavor and very giddy with tiny sherds of lobster. Mac and cheese tasted like microwave food. My husband had fried scallops and although it didn't have much flavor they were pretty good. The steak frites are just as magnificent as my boyfriend and I remembered. Have you ever had a food memory? Years ago, my dad made the best steak I've ever had. He passed away when I was a kid, and two summers ago, when I took my first bite of the steak here, my mouth watered... but so did my eyes. It was one of the strangest, most beautiful experiences I've ever had at a restaurant. For a moment, it felt like Dad was sitting at the table with us. To taste something so familiar, something I hadn't experienced in over twenty years, was surreal. That's not a compliment I hand out lightly. So we each had that For this visit, we started with the rock shrimp tacos, and they absolutely did not disappoint. They packed a nice little kick without overwhelming the dish, and we practically inhaled them. Of course, we had to finish the meal the same way we did last time: with churros. Somehow they were even better than we remembered. Crispy, warm, perfectly sweet, exactly the kind of dessert that makes you argue over who gets the last bite. My boyfriend ordered two Old Fashioneds, and I had two Cosmos. Both were delicious and definitely generous on the pour. I was a little concerned when we arrived for our 8:00 p.m. reservation because the place was PACKED for a Thursday night. We ended up waiting a bit past our reservation time. The hostess suggested we grab a drink at the bar, but that area was just as crowded, so we hung out in the lobby instead. The wait ended up being completely worth it because we were seated at the exact table I was secretly hoping for: the most perfect little corner window booth, straight out of a movie scene. It was the ideal setting for our last night of vacation. And then there was our server, Anton. Anton could teach a master class on waiting tables. He was efficient, funny, attentive without hovering, knowledgeable without being pretentious, and genuinely seemed to enjoy what he was doing. In a world where great service sometimes feels like a lost art, Anton was an absolute delight. The Ravenous Pig delivered once again: phenomenal food, excellent cocktails, memorable service, and one of those meals you'll still be talking about long after you've gone home. Usually their selection involves poke made of either the freshest tuna, salmon, ahi, scallops, or octopus. They also have mac, seaweed, or krab salad that you could add to your bowl for a few dollars extra. Whatever they have available for the day is displayed in a glass container and you can select either 1 scoop or 2 scoops of poke. They also offer a variety of toppings, such as wasabi, pickled ginger, tobiko, fried garlic, crunchies, and green onions. Sriracha, eel sauce, and spicy mayo are also available as extra sauces to put on top. The people at the counter are very sweet and always make the best recommendations based on your tastes, but honestly, anything you get here is great. Because it's in East End Market, seating can be a bit limited, but there is outdoor seating available and you can sometimes find a few benches on the 2nd floor to eat your meal. They also have a punch card that you can redeem for a free bowl of poke after getting 10 punches. It is a bit pricey, and is definitely a bit more unique than other poke places in Orlando, but the flavor, quality of the fish, and the people more than make up for it.

I made a reservation for a Saturday evening on Resy in advance. Since valet parking is free, I took advantage of it and headed straight to check in. I was greeted immediately and sent to the table where I could watch the open kitchen. I was told most of the drinks were strong, so I tried the mezcal drink (14 dollars). I forgot the name, but it was smoky, herbal, and lightly boozy. It was such a nice sipping drink. I was very happy that my server was very honest in mentioning the salmon was farmed raised, so I decided to go with the airline chicken instead (26 dollars). Before I was given my chicken, the chef near my table gave me a complimentary hors D'oeuvre. It looked to be a small wonton bowls filled with ahi tuna with some guac topping I think. Whatever it was, I was in heaven. It was fresh and flavorful, making my taste buds happy. When the chicken arrived, it came mostly deboned. It was tender enough, but could have been a little more juicy. It could been a bit more seasoned as well since I tasted mostly chicken without any other flavors. The vegetables, however, were far better as the potatoes were roasted and seasoned perfectly. I thought there would be mostly grilled vegetables, but the potatoes overtook them. The other vegetables were still amazing. I wish there was more of the green salsa, but it was thin. It did, however, added the kick and flavor to the chicken. It was still a very enjoyable entree. For dessert, they handed a separate menu, and I had to do the creme brulee (11 dollars). It was quite generous, but still light enough to finish. The crust was crispy without being too powerful, and the vanilla specks just made the flavor perfect. The service was excellent and professional. When it was time to pay, I showed the email to my server, who got the manager to verify. The manager immediately checked and gave me the twenty dollars off, making the total price before tips about 33 dollars after tax. It was a great deal. Both the manager and server checked up with me on the dinner and were very friendly. The atmosphere is upscale, but t-shirt and jeans are still welcome here. I love the open kitchen, and you are welcome to talk to the chefs. I am so happy I visited Luke's again after a long time. I loved their sister restaurant, Lumas, and was sad they closed a while back ago. While Luke's can be a bit pricey, they still have some items at reasonable prices (like the chicken, burgers, and sandwiches). Plus, if you sign up for their email, you can get promotions as well. And their cocktails are one of the best in Orlando. Definitely still a great restaurant in the Maitland area. Overall: A

We met a friend for lunch recently and chose the "Lunchbox", that comes with small-sized soup, salad, chips, and a choice of chicken tacos, yellowfin tuna on toast, or Chef's choice vegetables. (Think Bento box). What a pleasant surprise! But wait! There's more! Coffee or tea and gelato or ice cream, are also included. Definitely a fun lunch deal! My wife raved about the flavor of the chicken in her tacos. The soup and salad packed flavor for their size. My yellowfin tuna was okay. The mango gelato? Fresh, and the perfect way to end the meal. Dylan, our server, was attentive and knowledgeable. Prices continue to rise, but the quality continues. Happy Hour is Monday through Friday, 3 pm to 6 pm, and the menu has a nice selection of snacks and flatbreads, cocktails, wine, and beer.
