Decent pizza, unfortunately their website and "quality control" need improvement. We've had mixed up orders a couple of times, and tonight I tried to order a Calzone on their website but in order to add it to my "Cart" I was forced to select from two options. 14" for $16.95 or 18" for $22.95. This was for an $11.95 Calzone but their website would NOT allow me to add it to my cart without selecting one of these two other options. Of course when I selected the 14" option the price of the $11.95 Calzone jumped up to $28.90. It was impossible to add just a Calzone to my online order, I HAD to select either the 14" or 18" before their website would allow me to add the Calzone to my cart. And so I called them to place my order instead. I ordered 15 piece BBQ wings, the Calzone, and a Bronx pizza, and I confirmed with the gentleman who took my order that the Bronx was the meatball, sausage, and pepperoni pizza. I confirmed this because I tend to get the Bronx and the Brooklyn mixed up, but tonight I know that I ordered the Bronx and I also confirmed its toppings with the gentleman who took my order. When I picked up my food I discovered that in spite of confirming that I was ordering a Bronx, they had still made me a Brooklyn. At this point it was 8pm, and as I'd been told 35 minutes when I'd placed my order I did not want to wait another half hour for them to make me the pizza I wanted and had originally ordered. We got home and my son reluctantly ate the pizza after picking off the olives and green peppers, but he did not enjoy it because he said he could still smell the peppers. In spite of them having messed up my order (more than once), and in spite of having a broken website that tries to charge you $29 for a $12 Calzone, I still think they're an OK pizza place. Unfortunately the only way to contact them is by phone, or via a proxy email address (they do NOT have an email listed on their website), and so instead of being able to contact them discretely about these issues I'm forced to air their dirty laundry in public in the vain hope that someone with authority will see this review and work on fixing these issues. There are better pizza options in the SGV. Tried it out based on the good reviews, but ultimately the pizza was not memorable. It's hard to mess up a pizza and it taste like pizza, but it just wasn't that good? Pizza was kind of hard. Crust was bland. Cheese wasn't gooey. Meats were whatever? I dont care if their pizza tastes good, they are thugs, and I am honestly pissed off at their treatment of customers, when THEY got the order wrong. Omar's Pizzeria is a small hole in the wall pizza place. They pride themselves on making NY style pizzas. Walking inside it was empty except for an Asian dude working the cashier and another dude making the pizzas. They had a number of pizzas displayed behind the counter but they looked like they've been there for a while. Those pizzas behind the counter are for if you wanted to order pizza by the slice. Wanting a whole new hot pizza we decided to order a whole 18" pizza with pepperoni and mushrooms ($16). We were told it would take about 15 minutes. I saw that the dude tossed around the dough made from scratch so it was nice to know that their pizzas are not made from premade doughs. They only offer one size pie which is 18" unless you order by the slice. A whole cheese pizza starts at $14 and each additional topping is one dollar more. They have a variety of pizza specials that range from $15-$19. They also have buffalo wings, sandwiches, calzones, pastas, and some side orders. Out of nowhere they offered us a complimentary slice of pizza. They offered a slice of the Whitestone pizza which had ricotta cheese, mozzarella, provolone, parmesan, and fresh garlic. It was super cheesy. The pepperoni and mushroom pizza arrived like a minute after. Nice thin crispy crust and the toppings were fresh. The pepperoni had a bit of spice to it and the mushrooms were quite thick. The cheese and the marinara sauce had great flavor. Quite the superb pizza. Definitely quality stuff here. The service was good. One of the dudes added on another table to our table to fit the whole pizza onto there. I thought that was pretty nice. He was also the same dude that offered us a free slice. They guy was super nice and made sure my order was packed up neatly to go. I was craving a calzone and got their ricotta and mozzarella and added onions and peppers. It was huge, the size of a paper plate and came with 2 containers of marinara sauce. Hot and plenty of filling, but wasn't too crazy about the crust, it was slightly dense. Otherwise it was good. The also have ready to go slices (to be re-heated) for 2.99. I saw the worker put out a hot tray of Sweet and spicy- Pepperonis, jalapenos, and pineapples. Great amount of toppings, but the bottom of the slice was slightly burned. We celebrated Halloween early at my office since a lot of people commute on Fridays. So during lunch we had a pumpkin decorating and costume contests. For lunch, we had a pizza party. I think we ordered about 18 pizzas from Omar's. Our Social Committee was debating on Costco pizza or Omar's. Although Costco's pizzas are only $10 each, they didn't have as much variety and we would have to pick them up at Azusa. Omar's delivers and are closer to our office. The pizzas seemed to be a hit with everyone and we also had some cheese-less pizzas. I personally tried the Garden Fresh House Salad (the yellow tomatoes were really sweet), SWEET & SPICY (Pepperoni, pineapple and jalapenos), BRONX SPECIAL (A hardy offering of meatball, sausage and pepperoni) and GARLIC CHICKEN (Savory chunks of chicken breast, fresh garlic, olive oil, red onions, fresh cilantro and sliced Roma tomatoes). This place was great, food, service and all. I read a few bad reviews about the wings, sandwiches, and calzone. However, the name of the restaurant is "Omar's Pizzeria ". You don't go to a pizza place for any of those things, you go to a pizza spot for pizza. If you want a sandwich go to subway. The pizza was great, the sauce was fresh and toppings awesome. It also included an abundant amount of cheese! The pizza was ready in less than 15 minutes and was taken to our table (see photo below, we couldn't wait to dig in!). The place was a bit small, I expected it to be a bit roomier. Also, it was hot in there (granted we went on one of the hottest days of the year). I can still remember my first visit here ... the owner (Omar) was actually running the cash register when I walked in. He was a very friendly dude, shook my hand, and introduced himself. It was very nice to meet an enthusiastic small business owner who seems down-to-earth and genuinely devoted to establishing a positive relationship with all his customers. The food here is tasty and filling. The prices are affordable. Their pizza and baked ziti (with sausage) are excellent. The service is attentive and friendly. Make goddamn sure you drop some money in the tip jar for the good folks working here, because although it's technically not a "full-service" restaurant, I found that they'll still take surprisingly good care of you *after* you have paid for and received your food. (I've never used their delivery service, so I can't comment on that.) The restaurant interior is austere, but clean. You should be able to find a parking spot in the lot during most days/times without *too* much difficulty. This is my second review for Omar's Pizza . They deserve 10+++ stars!!!! I ordered 17 pizzas for employees who really deserve a break-they work long hours with protective equipment. Since I had such fantastic luck with Omar's the first time when I ordered 10 pizzas, this time I made sure I covered the entire crew and ordered 17. I came here because the Santa Anita Little League has a discount card which offers 10% off your entire order. I used the card without any hitches. I also saw that the Yelp reviews were almost uniformly fantastic. Let me say now that the pizza is definitely a cut above. My wife and I ordered the slice + salad + drink combo for $6. Great deal for quality food. My younger son ordered the calzone, which he immediately proclaimed was bigger than his head (also $6). My other son ordered the ziti ($6 , which he did not finish due to its ample serving size) and garlic knots. What sold me on this place is the friendliness of the owner, who was more than happy to share his story about how he came to open a pizzeria, and how his mother taught him how to make a calzone. Kind of reminded of gyro slices on my pizza. -Farmer's Market: We really liked this one. Bell peppers, zucchini, mushrooms, onions and broccoli. Mmmh.
