    Spinach Pesto Slice ($6.50)

Tasty Pricey !!! The taste of the pizza is "above" average, but the PRICE is not average. . We ordered 3 slices that totaled $22.50, plus 2 cans of regular soda for $6.50. And, they are not large Costco Slices, just a regular size slice. On Zelo's it suggests 1-2 slices per person. I would go back if their prices were more reasonable.

Cornmeal crust pizza brought to the San Gabriel Valley from San Francisco! This pizza is deep dish style, and the cornmeal flavor and texture is something unique that sets it apart from other pizza joints. It's a bit crispy, crunchy, and meal-y. Served by the slice, half, or whole pizza- our party felt like two slices were very filling. They have some slices that catered to our vegetarian and vegan friends, namely the spinach pesto pizza and the Della salute, which is Zelo's veggie pizza without cheese. We have a mixed-preference friend group and these offerings helped us select this location for our dinner meetup. Fresh ingredients all around for the sausage pizza, as well, really substantial marinated peppers, eggplant, onions, and mushrooms decorated each slice. Everything slapped, We also ate appetizer meatballs and garlic bread, and those were no slouch either. Next time we need to be sure to make room for dessert. Lovely space, with a cool mix of Americana/music/pop culture memorabilia all over the walls. Such a friendly and inviting staff, who were responsive to our (many) questions. I also dug the eclectic music mix played for ambiance. I heard songs that caught my ears a few times, and had to use a music ID app.

Cheese pizza with pepperoni added. If you order just a pepperoni pizza, there is no sauce and it comes with tomatoes.

What is pleasant surprise - small hole in the wall place you have to try. Who would've known that cornmeal crusted pizza could taste so good!?!

The cornmeal crust is out of this world! Definitely a new favorite pizza takeout option in our household. Can't wait to try more of their pizza options!

A local gem in the heart of Arcadia. It was highly recommended by a friend and it did not disappoint. Their pizzas are unique and delicious. The thickness of the pizza crust tasted like it was between thin crust and regular crust. We got their famous corn with caramelized onion pizza (very good!) and their 1/2 pepperoni & 1/2 sausage pizza (it was just ok). The corn pizza wins hands down! We will come back again.

Great service. Unique and delicious pizza. I'm looking forward to trying all of the other pizzas!

But we really came here because of what we heard about the food, and it didn't disappoint. Definitely make a reservation if you are going on the weekend. We got there early and were lucky to be seated a little early. It was an outside table so the view of Del Taco was a bit weird given the quality of food but just need to ignore that. I don't remember the names of the items we ordered but they were all great. Calamari and beef carpaccio for starters, as well as a crab bisque. The mains were the sausage and black truffle pasta (our favorite), lobster pasta, and scallops and squid ink. Tiramisu for dessert, and they also gave us a refreshing spritzer type of drink. Can't remember the name but it's apparently derived from grapes. Definitely not cheap if you get the specials which the three pastas above are, but we really enjoyed it and plan to return again soon.

Our server was a young man named Courage, and I appreciated his patience and good manners. The host at the front counter was pleasant to interact with as well. The food was good overall, but somewhat hit or miss. We tried the 40z Florentine T-Bone Steak for Two (ordered medium), and found it to be acceptable overall - some portions seemed closer to medium rare, while other sections seemed well done. I'm no expert on steaks, and my limited understanding is that a steak this massive can show variation in Doneness, so please disregard this observation if you believe it to be unduly critical. I plan to return and sample the other steaks (and dishes) at this eatery, I get the feeling I will probably find them to be more to my liking. Of note is the restaurant's (current) novel menu pricing model - their steaks (and a few other items from what I remember) are 50% off their listed price every day except for "holidays and special occasions" (or something along those lines). I would consider this dynamic pricing model better than restaurants who mark *up* their listed prices during select days of the year (e.g. Valentine's Day). The parking lot is on the small side, but we were fortunately able to secure a space during our visit. The chimichurri that accompanies the steak is a bit on the noticeably spicy side.

The cozy and relaxing, dimly lit ambiance and its traditional neighborhood trattoria style and decor, featuring grape clustered garlands and twinkle lights, artfully placed around old-fashioned murals of Italian scenery, as if you're sitting in an open air courtyard of a countryside villa, instill feelings of nostalgia and comfort. That being said, while I'm so happy to finally come back to sit and dine in after like 5+ years post pandemic, and I don't know what all has happened w the owner and her family since then, it really does pain me to say that both the Gnocchi Pesto and the Pesto Pasta w chicken that my husband and I ordered yesterday were terribly sub par. It was the sauce...just bland, bland...bland as all get out. Seriously just no flavor I was so disappointed as their Pesto dishes are a favorite of mine. Definitely not how I remembered it. Maybe the cook forgot to season it and then also forgot to taste test the sauce, or something... I don't know. I know I couldn't finish it. Even after adding a little salt It was just...Uck no flavor. But I did pack it up and bring it home. And I fixed it up good... all it needed was some garlic powder and salt. Yes! Just how I remember it! I believe in second chances...and third chances I will return...even if for nothing but the ambience.

They use the same parking lot as Summerfield so it can get busy at some times. I called in to place an order for dinner and it was super easy and convenient. I ordered their Di Pilla Special pizza and a medium Parpadelle special pasta. The total for these dishes came out to be $62. Their portions are quite large since they're a family style restaurant. They also gave us complimentary bread which tasted amazing! I will say that I felt really heavy and full after this meal so this is definitely a cheat meal type of food. Food: Parpadelle Special Pasta (9/10): The noodles are huge and thick and the sauce gets absorbed perfectly. There's mushrooms, spinach, chicken with a white sauce base. They loaded this dish up with sauce which was heavenly. I even dipped my complimentary bread in the sauce because it just tasted that good. The chicken was so soft and wasn't overcooked at all. Between a family of three, there was a perfect amount and didn't have any leftovers. Di Pilla Special Pizza (9/10): Wow, the amount of toppings? Insane. We ordered the medium size which is a 14 inch. There was pepperoni, green peppers, mushrooms, onions, hamburger, and bacon. I had to go back to their menu to see what toppings there were because wow was there a load full. I thought that the mushroom and bell pepper did overpower most of the slice. We had so many slices left over because of how full each slice makes you. I had it the day after and It was still tasty. I need to come back and try their other menu options. They have so many options to choose from which gets overwhelming because everything sounds amazing!

However, I'm sure this restaurant will do fine, as it has been a part of Pasadena for so long. We had a reservation for 7:30pm, and we were seated in the back of the restaurant. I didn't even know they had a back room, as last time we sat in the front. All of the dishes tonight were shared, except for the drink. I had the White Lotus drink, which was very similar to an Aperol Spritz. We shared the Pork Meatballs. These were 5 out of 5. They were so tasty, dense, large and the sauce and spice were perfect. We then shared the Mushroom Gnocchi. This is exactly how it sounds; however, I felt it was definitely lacking flavor, and would give it a 4 out of 5. We then moved on to the main course, which was the Pork Chop with an Apricot Sauce and a herb salad with fruit. I would give this dish a 5 out of 5, excellent. We ended the meal with the Strawberry Rhubarb Crumble. This was kind of the disappointment of the meal. It wasn't bad; however, it was not a crumble; we didn't taste any strawberry or rhubarb. The ice cream on the top was the highlight of this dish. It would get a 2 out of 5. Our server was very nice; however, a little rushed at times, especially during the early part of our service when the restaurant was nearly to capacity. Overall, a good to great visit. We arrived around 9:20 PM and waited about 15 minutes after getting the text that our table was ready, only to be seated at the bar again. I honestly wish I had requested not to sit there because every time lately the atmosphere at the bar has felt tense and uncomfortable. The chefs working behind the counter looked angry, annoyed, and completely miserable. There was constant pan throwing, side eyeing customers, and an overall hostile energy that made us feel unwelcome the entire time. We sat there with my two hungry teenage sons watching other dishes being made while ours never came out. At one point, after about 20-25 minutes with almost no customers left in the restaurant, one chef literally stopped cooking and disappeared into the back to clean while we were still waiting for our food. I finally had to ask the waitress if our order was even being prepared. Only then did the chef come back looking visibly irritated and start making the dishes. It honestly felt like they were angry we were there. When the food finally arrived, it was incredibly disappointing. We ordered four pasta dishes and every single one tasted bland and nothing like it used to. The rich flavor this place was known for is completely gone now. My kids didn't even complain because they were starving and this had been the restaurant they wanted to revisit. Before writing this review, I actually deleted the positive review I posted for this restaurant two years ago because unfortunately it no longer reflects the experience here today. The food quality has gone downhill, the atmosphere feels negative, and the staff in the kitchen seem unhappy and burnt out. We used to genuinely love this place, but after multiple bad experiences, we won't be coming back.

Immediately we realized we had found a gem. The food is simple, pure and honest. We imagined a future visiting sitting with an order of these smelts and a few beers watching a proper Serie A Fútbol match. After an impulsive order of fresh pita bread(highly recommended) our main courses arrived. Grilled branzino and the Lamb shank. These dishes elevated to a simple perfection with the complex flavors of dried fruit, almonds and couscous accompanying a confidently prepared lamb. A robust California Cabernet provided the perfect compliment to this old world classic. The branzino was glazed and touched respectfully with lemon and grilled to a perfect gentle shimmer.
