    Spinach Pesto Slice ($6.50)

Tasty Pricey !!! The taste of the pizza is "above" average, but the PRICE is not average. . We ordered 3 slices that totaled $22.50, plus 2 cans of regular soda for $6.50. And, they are not large Costco Slices, just a regular size slice. On Zelo's it suggests 1-2 slices per person. I would go back if their prices were more reasonable.

Cornmeal crust pizza brought to the San Gabriel Valley from San Francisco! This pizza is deep dish style, and the cornmeal flavor and texture is something unique that sets it apart from other pizza joints. It's a bit crispy, crunchy, and meal-y. Served by the slice, half, or whole pizza- our party felt like two slices were very filling. They have some slices that catered to our vegetarian and vegan friends, namely the spinach pesto pizza and the Della salute, which is Zelo's veggie pizza without cheese. We have a mixed-preference friend group and these offerings helped us select this location for our dinner meetup. Fresh ingredients all around for the sausage pizza, as well, really substantial marinated peppers, eggplant, onions, and mushrooms decorated each slice. Everything slapped, We also ate appetizer meatballs and garlic bread, and those were no slouch either. Next time we need to be sure to make room for dessert. Lovely space, with a cool mix of Americana/music/pop culture memorabilia all over the walls. Such a friendly and inviting staff, who were responsive to our (many) questions. I also dug the eclectic music mix played for ambiance. I heard songs that caught my ears a few times, and had to use a music ID app.

Cheese pizza with pepperoni added. If you order just a pepperoni pizza, there is no sauce and it comes with tomatoes.

What is pleasant surprise - small hole in the wall place you have to try. Who would've known that cornmeal crusted pizza could taste so good!?!

The cornmeal crust is out of this world! Definitely a new favorite pizza takeout option in our household. Can't wait to try more of their pizza options!

A local gem in the heart of Arcadia. It was highly recommended by a friend and it did not disappoint. Their pizzas are unique and delicious. The thickness of the pizza crust tasted like it was between thin crust and regular crust. We got their famous corn with caramelized onion pizza (very good!) and their 1/2 pepperoni & 1/2 sausage pizza (it was just ok). The corn pizza wins hands down! We will come back again.

Ask the Community - Zelo Gourmet Pizza

Is Zelo offering a gluten-free pizza option? i don't see it on the menu anymore

    Do they sell beer?

Yes, there's always some can and bottle options as well as a few taps

Can other pizzas be ordered than the gourmet ? In other words, can you create your own?

Well yes but you'll have to start with an order of four cheese, then you may add some additional toppings. BUT, that doesn't mean corn is a topping or that tasty red onion will be available to add on, as some toppings are meant specifically for some…

Is the cornmeal crust completely gluten free?

No, it still has some wheat

They use the same parking lot as Summerfield so it can get busy at some times. I called in to place an order for dinner and it was super easy and convenient. I ordered their Di Pilla Special pizza and a medium Parpadelle special pasta. The total for these dishes came out to be $62. Their portions are quite large since they're a family style restaurant. They also gave us complimentary bread which tasted amazing! I will say that I felt really heavy and full after this meal so this is definitely a cheat meal type of food. Food: Parpadelle Special Pasta (9/10): The noodles are huge and thick and the sauce gets absorbed perfectly. There's mushrooms, spinach, chicken with a white sauce base. They loaded this dish up with sauce which was heavenly. I even dipped my complimentary bread in the sauce because it just tasted that good. The chicken was so soft and wasn't overcooked at all. Between a family of three, there was a perfect amount and didn't have any leftovers. Di Pilla Special Pizza (9/10): Wow, the amount of toppings? Insane. We ordered the medium size which is a 14 inch. There was pepperoni, green peppers, mushrooms, onions, hamburger, and bacon. I had to go back to their menu to see what toppings there were because wow was there a load full. I thought that the mushroom and bell pepper did overpower most of the slice. We had so many slices left over because of how full each slice makes you. I had it the day after and It was still tasty. I need to come back and try their other menu options. They have so many options to choose from which gets overwhelming because everything sounds amazing!

Only thing that didn't sit well was that it was known that it was my dad's birthday and we weren't offered any celebratory complementary desserts of any sort, not that that should be expected, but we did over order for our party so gave decent business I would say. The menu prices suggest that it's quite a nice upscale restaurant which it is, but the interior was nothing special, quite casual. I think I would want a little more pizzazz if I were going here for a romantic date - Calabrian salami pizza: amazing flavor profile, the salami gave a good saltines to it while the hot honey gave a tin of sweet. I'm not the biggest fan of when my savory food is too sweet, but I thought this one was really well done - squid ink pasta: really tiny portion, which was the only bummer but it was so delicious. I would probably still get it again not too fishy. If you don't love the Strong seafood flavors that this dish sometimes comes with. - whipped feta and bread: a classic go to appetizer at Italian restaurants, pretty good, but I wouldn't say any better than other restaurants that serve this - calamari: honestly would skip this. They only was nothing special and the calamari itself had standard batter. Nothing crazy. Whipped feta and bread

My friends also commented on how delicious their entrees were. Our server was kind and great overall. I couldn't help but notice though that a couple other parties (who were a couple parties of two, and seated after us) were served before us, and left before us. Obviously I know our food coming out later than usual had nothing to do with our server, but what I did notice was how our server never checked on us after our meals were served. Our server walked past our table several times (checking on multiple tables next to us and even re-setting tables next to us) and didn't even make eye contact to check on any non verbal cues. I finally had to call the server by name (after about 30 minutes had passed since all our meals were done) before getting a dessert menu and then again for the check. Again, overall our server was good, but I'm not sure where the disconnect happened after our meals came. I'd still come back and would definitely recommend this spot to anyone.
