I've been coming here for many years. Before today, my previous visit was about 2 months ago. I was surprised to learn today that the business has new ownership. After today's visit, I'm a bit relieved since the pizza seems very familiar. The quality appears to be very similar so I'm convinced that they took the time or are taking the time to make sure that the ownership transition goes well. Everything inside still looks the same. The old pictures that we all love are still up on the walls.

Trying a new pizza spot for us! This spot has been here for 45 years

I've passed by this pizza spot for over 2 years and not once did I dawn to check it out until my son said "pizza" and pointed and I said "sure, why not!" It didn't disappoint! Pizza by the slice was a big plus for my son and I. We had a good selection to choose from. There small salads are a great size. The reheat of the slices is quick and perfect temp, super tasty! Next time I visit I'm going to try a sandwich. Service was amazing, super welcoming and friendly. Even after we sat they asked if we wanted water, cheese or anything else, which made me feel welcome and the whole staff was really patient with my son who can be wild, so I definitely appreciate that! I did see a lot of to go orders within the 20 minutes I was there which tells me my son picked a great spot! Also we were in luck to be heading out while a massive group of teens from San Marino High were coming in looking hungry. Overall I will come back, maybe make it a monthly lunch date with my son, since he loves pizza and has no issues to Tony's right before we go to speech!

    Knots!!

Came here as was in area and wanted to give this spot a go given I've driven by so many times. Per reviews a local spot with lots of locals who rave about NY style pizza. ( you had me at Ny style and I am in). Place was as expected an old mom and pop style pizzeria with friendly staff. Ordered a couple of slices and a ceggie pie with a variety of veggies. Also ordered the garlic knots. Pizza came out hot and was pretty much an NY style pizza. Would say it was pretty good but would have liked a but more sauce. Knots were great and a rather large offering. Overall, good local spot if you're in the area. One gripe - would love to have a beer to go with my pie, but can understand that its a spot that mostly pick up as to why they wouldnt.

i've been eating Tony's Pizza for more than 30 years. The new owners have tweaked the recipe too bad

Unfortunately, all good things must come to an end. The new owners have tweaked the recipe for the cheese pizza. So, sad.

I've been coming to Tony's Pizza for as long as I can remember. Growing up, nothing beat the student special with a slushie--those are core childhood memories for me. I always thought the same Sicilian family would run Tony's forever, passing it down through the generations. So when I found out there were new owners, I'll admit I was nervous. But to my relief, it's still Tony's pizza! The taste, the atmosphere, the comfort--it all brought me back. That being said, I have to mention one small (but big to me) detail: the onions. My go-to has always been sausage and onion, and Tony's was special because of how they cut them--thin, long, stringy slices that caramelized perfectly in the oven. The new cut is different--chopped longer, thinner pieces--which just doesn't hit the same. It might sound silly, but for me, that little detail made their pizza stand out from anywhere else. One friendly suggestion for the new owners: please don't swap out the original ingredients for other brands. The magic of Tony's is in the flavor that's been consistent for decades. Don't change that! All in all, I'm so glad Tony's is still here and still delicious. Change is part of life, but the heart of Tony's pizza lives on.

You can order half and half also

Ordered take out today. Bring me back to my years in high school. Tony's pizza always makes quality pizza. Their pasta and sandwiches are also exceptional. Their staff are super friendly and always provide the best service. Whether you eat in the restaurant or have it as take out, you enjoy the family-oriented pizza that has been passed down from generation to generation.

It's so funny that I would always see Tony's on my way back home from another pizza spot. This place is so unassuming and I love how the inside is like an ordinary mom and pop shop that you'd see in the east coast! I honestly miss places like this so much and the workers are the sweetest! Okay...pizza here is legit! I'll be back. Each slice is between $3-5 depending on whether they're fancy. I got the Dante which has a kick with the jalapeños, onions+goat, and a classic cheese. I was a big fan of the Dante and really like the onions one, but not a fan of goat! Pizza has a nice texture to it, which is what I'm always looking for and they don't skip out on ingredients! Heating up take out for slices are quick for those on the go! And parking is plenty in the back~

The cozy and relaxing, dimly lit ambiance and its traditional neighborhood trattoria style and decor, featuring grape clustered garlands and twinkle lights, artfully placed around old-fashioned murals of Italian scenery, as if you're sitting in an open air courtyard of a countryside villa, instill feelings of nostalgia and comfort. That being said, while I'm so happy to finally come back to sit and dine in after like 5+ years post pandemic, and I don't know what all has happened w the owner and her family since then, it really does pain me to say that both the Gnocchi Pesto and the Pesto Pasta w chicken that my husband and I ordered yesterday were terribly sub par. It was the sauce...just bland, bland...bland as all get out. Seriously just no flavor I was so disappointed as their Pesto dishes are a favorite of mine. Definitely not how I remembered it. Maybe the cook forgot to season it and then also forgot to taste test the sauce, or something... I don't know. I know I couldn't finish it. Even after adding a little salt It was just...Uck no flavor. But I did pack it up and bring it home. And I fixed it up good... all it needed was some garlic powder and salt. Yes! Just how I remember it! I believe in second chances...and third chances I will return...even if for nothing but the ambience.

They use the same parking lot as Summerfield so it can get busy at some times. I called in to place an order for dinner and it was super easy and convenient. I ordered their Di Pilla Special pizza and a medium Parpadelle special pasta. The total for these dishes came out to be $62. Their portions are quite large since they're a family style restaurant. They also gave us complimentary bread which tasted amazing! I will say that I felt really heavy and full after this meal so this is definitely a cheat meal type of food. Food: Parpadelle Special Pasta (9/10): The noodles are huge and thick and the sauce gets absorbed perfectly. There's mushrooms, spinach, chicken with a white sauce base. They loaded this dish up with sauce which was heavenly. I even dipped my complimentary bread in the sauce because it just tasted that good. The chicken was so soft and wasn't overcooked at all. Between a family of three, there was a perfect amount and didn't have any leftovers. Di Pilla Special Pizza (9/10): Wow, the amount of toppings? Insane. We ordered the medium size which is a 14 inch. There was pepperoni, green peppers, mushrooms, onions, hamburger, and bacon. I had to go back to their menu to see what toppings there were because wow was there a load full. I thought that the mushroom and bell pepper did overpower most of the slice. We had so many slices left over because of how full each slice makes you. I had it the day after and It was still tasty. I need to come back and try their other menu options. They have so many options to choose from which gets overwhelming because everything sounds amazing!

Delightfully understated atmosphere with unique tiles throughout the decor, and we loved that we could hear each other talk and enjoy each other's company. Our server was amazing, she was so knowledgeable while being personable and extremely funny. I assume she's the cook's wife based on the other reviews - I arrived a little after my aunts, so I didn't get a full introduction since they had already secured a table and had ordered some drinks while looking over the menu. I had my eye on 3 different meat dishes - the Roasted Duck Breast, the New Zealand Lamb, and the Angus Beef Ribeye Steak - and my aunts also had each picked 1 of those, so we went family style, and it did not disappoint!! The chef knows how to cook each type of meat to perfection, and the searing pans are doing exactly what they need to be doing! The Roast Duck Breast was AMAZING as cooked to the recommended medium, with delicious crispy skin. The Angus Beef Ribeye Steak at medium rare was as tasty as it was gorgeous! And the New Zealand Lamb was PERFECTION, down to the bone. We also got the gourmet macaroni and cheese as an add-on side, since all the meals come with mashed potatoes and various veggies, and I was in heaven! As someone who used to work at the Disney Parks and frequented the steakhouses and other fine dining both here and in Orlando, Sage Bistro is giving Disney a run for its money when it comes to high-quality meat dishes! The prices reflect both the cut of the meats and the skill of preparation, with it averaging to about $50 each across the 3 of us, which is pretty reasonable for top-tier quality! The only thing I had to be careful about was that many of the dishes have mushrooms, and my throat gets itchy if I eat most mushrooms, so I had to avoid those dishes. During our meal, when I mentioned it to our server for future visits, she was great at noting which dishes could completely be modified to have no mushrooms while also being realistic about acknowledging the dishes that cannot be, which sadly includes the Braised Short Rib that sounds out of this world. But I can have the Beef Rib Soup, so I definitely want to try that next because I WILL BE BACK!!! They also offer takeaway, and were very generous in giving us each a coupon card to use for ordering through their website.

The server suggested different dishes: raviolis, cacio e pepe, a dish with the name jerry in the title (I don't quite remember the full name!) and so on. I ordered the cacio e pepe and added mushrooms and chicken to my order. As an appetizer, I ordered a half cesar salad which was pretty decent. I was not a fan of the hard crouton though! The cacio e pepe was pretty dry and the chicken was even drier. Adding mushrooms was a nice touch but sadly the dish could not be saved by how dried it was. I think maybe 2/6 thought their dishes were okay while the rest did not enjoy what they ordered. For dessert, I was surprised with a slice of coconut cake since it was a friend and mines birthday. The cake was good and full of coconut flavored goodnessss. The tiramisu I ordered (before I knew of the coconut cake!) was also a very nice sweet treat. We then shared the Mushroom Gnocchi. This is exactly how it sounds; however, I felt it was definitely lacking flavor, and would give it a 4 out of 5. We then moved on to the main course, which was the Pork Chop with an Apricot Sauce and a herb salad with fruit. I would give this dish a 5 out of 5, excellent.
