I was in search for a new nail shop until I came across this one, I'm a very consistent customer! I go at least every week in a half to get my nails done and once I go somewhere that I really like , it's hard for me to leave until I have a good excuse to do so!!! The first time I got my nails done there was by Seven and I really loved his work, the second time I called and made another appointment and said if " Seven isn't there, I'll do it with Simon ( owner ) which I had seen really good reviews, I did like his work but not as much as Seven and the bad thing is that since he is the owner...he gets a lot of calls and is on the phone and working on me and I didn't like that! I recommended a few people to this place as well and they went!!! I'm very disappointed in how rude Seven was to me, the staff there isn't so friendly there...I still tried after to make another appointment but they never answered my calls so I stopped trying and they are never on time so if you book at 11 am, get there at 11:20. Overall, this place does a good job but the staff needs to be more friendly...It was awkward getting my nails done in complete silence and never got a "hey how you been" or anything!!!! read more

I initially thought I had a good experience. However, the second time I went, I was not greeted by the nail tech Simon, nor did he interact at all. He did a rush job on shaping my nails and then tells me someone else will polish my nails. I went back a second time because the reviews for Simon were great and I wanted him to do the full job. I have now developed a fungus on my middle finger- never had fungus in my ENTIRE life. I'm glad majority of reviewers have enjoyed their experience. I looked up this place through Yelp. The reviews and the pictures looked great. I contacted the nail spa even sent a picture and they called me back promptly and scheduled me for today 4/28 at 1 pm. I got here right at 1. Place looked kind of sketchy, it looked like the pedicure basin was a black bucket. No one greeted me I looked at one of the employees and told her I have an appointment at 1. She said something in her language and left me still standing. 5 minutes then another staff brings me a chair. Some staff male comes.over with his schedule book ask me for my number. Obviously did not find it so I reminded him I was contacted and scheduled through yelp. He then ask me can you come back later. Oh my gosh really I came from Boyle Heights which was almost an hour drive. I told him no thank you and left. I am so upset this is so unprofessional and wrong. read more

Really disappointed. I made two appointments for two pedicures which was completely pointless because my husband and myself had to go one at a time. They literally have a tray that they fill with water and they stick your feet in. I have never seen this before. Most of the time there continuous hot water but this was not that. The lady did my husbands pedicure and moved on to me. She accidentally touched my toe and had to fix it which she got mad about almost like she was mad at me because she thought I had messed it up. So instead of taking that polish off and redoing it she added two coats on top of the two coats I already had. I just ignored her attitude and I went to put my shoes on and touched my big toe which I totally get was my fault. I tried telling another girl who had just finished doing someone's nails if she could please fix my toe as the original person was already doing someone else's pedicure. She didn't even acknowledge me and called the other lady over to fix my nail. Of course the lady was livid that she had to fix my nail again. She started muttering something in her language. Clearly she was upset and didn't try to hide it one bit. I could tell she was telling me off as she was complaining the whole time she was fixing it , I'm not even exaggerating L. Again instead of removing my polish she proceeds to add TWO MORE coats to that toe. I had 6 or 7 coats of polish on one toe. I was so careful to not ruin it for two hours and finally when I looked at my toe it was ruined again. What did that lady think was going to happen?! My toe had 6 coats of polish I don't think it was ever going dry no matter if a whole day passed. It was too thick to ever dry. While I was there one of the guys called a customer twice to push back her appointment for later. They just keep taking customers instead of keeping their appointments. Stop being so money hungry and don't over book yourselves. They do beautiful nails there but based on my experience I will never come back again no matter how good of a job they do. read more

Simon is fantastic. He took the time to give me a precise and elegant SNS powder job over my medium length natural nails. He fixed a short nail to match the others. I wanted a GREAT manicure using SNS and based on the Yelp reviews I read he was the guy and he delivered! He was very nice as well. I went here 5 days ago to have my gel color removed and just a buff and I just can't stop thinking about what a bad job they did. I think they were all nice and friendly, but the shop was unclean. The man doing my gel removal used an electric filer and put quite a few large divets in my nails. Then he did my buff manicure. I know going from gel to natural nail can sometimes be a little funky because your nails are so weak, but what he did looks way worse than what I would do with neglect. They are filed all jagged, my cuticles are a mess. It was just an icky place with nice people who did a bad job. read more

So disappointed. I made an appointment a day in advance for 1pm on Sunday. I arrive right on time and they make me wait 40 min. No one says anything to me. They took 2 regulars before me that showed up after me. I finally asked when is my turn? They said a couple more minutes. Finally, past 1:40PM, the girl working there says I will need to completely take off all my nails (for a charge) and start with a fresh, new set in order to do the ombré. This was more than double the cost they quoted on the phone. My nails are in really good condition and I just needed a fill. I specifically asked for what I wanted over the phone when I made the appointment for 1PM... I said I will just do the full set then if they can not charge me for removal but they didn't even have time to do the new set. I gave up and left after almost an hour. What a waste of time, right in the middle of my Sunday and horrible service. Drove all the way over there just to wait for an hour and leave. read more

NEVER coming back here again. I had not done my nails in 3 years because of my previous job so I started searching places to get a full set conveniently near my house. This place had pretty great reviews so I decided to try it out. The guy who did my set took 2 1/2 hours for a basic full set (no gel). At first I thought that was way too much time but since I hadn't done them in a few years I thought it was fine. Before putting the set on, he filed my nails too thin. I also felt rushed because as soon as they were finished with me, they'd rush me to pay which caused some on my nails to not fully dry and mess up. After 5 days, three nails broke off so I went back to get them fixed. When the owner re did my broken nails, he used the drill and I could feel it going through my skin. After a week, two other nails broke so I decided this was not the place and tried another place out. When she removed my acrylics, she was upset and asked where I got my nails done previously because the acrylics broke 4 of my actual nails in half. I now have 2 months for them to heal and grow out. She explained to me that whatever place I went to previously, they thinned out my nails WAY to deep which caused the cracks. I work in guest facing services so I can be lenient A LOT but this place is just awful overall. Please be careful with getting full sets here. read more

I came here so excited because I had set a mani/pedi acrylic fill and gel appointment with Simon and I had heard rave reviews. I've been here twice before and each time it just got worse and worse. Upon arrival, I realized he had triple-booked the same time slot I had requested two days prior. He kept messing up my nails, and then would yell at me in front of all the other customers, curse and mutter in frustration in Vietnamese (which was safe to assume was about me), I felt uncomfortable telling him that my nails were misshapen because he would tell me it was my fault..? He was rushing through my nails to the point where he messed up THREE TIMES and had to start again. Usually, I would never ever leave a bad review I just wouldn't return but this was so appalling and so uncomfortable that I left without even getting my pedicure. It takes a lot to get me upset. I've been coming here for a couple months and each time they do a good job, but it's always rushed. Additionally, what leads me to write this review is that every time I come I make an appointment, and every time I HAVE TO WAIT "10 minutes"...which turns into 15-20. It's ridiculous. I've seen it done to not only to me, but other people who walk in for their appointment. Are the nails good, yes but don't bother if you don't have an extra 20 min to spare, to then be rushed out. I called to make an appointment for an acrylic fill for myself and a gel color change for my friend. The owner said we can come in right away, and so we did. When we arrived, my friend and I had to wait at least 30 minutes and people kept calling in and asking to come in for multiple services and he would tell them to come within the next 30 minutes, knowing that he was short staffed and very busy. With that being said, my nails turned out horrible! The sides of my nails were not polished, despite asking numerous times. Simon worked on filling my acrylics and another lady polished them. I have cuts, the nail wasn't shaved down and it looks rather thick. Additionally, the service was rushed and the polish was not put on nicely and neatly. The nail tech that was doing my friend's nails was new, inexperienced and rather slow/ he did not do a good job at all, so a different tech re-did the color for her. They do not have an array of polish colors nail-- the nail polish is outdated, old and limited variety. The place is so jam packed ( the way the chairs are equipped) that there is barely any room to stand up and choose a color. I am not pleased at all and I am an easily pleased person. Please, don't waste your money and time and go someplace else. Will not come back. read more

This place saved me from a horrible nail job I got from some place else. I had to go a whole week with messed up nails until I could find somewhere to fix them. For the pass two weeks I've been looking for a new nail shop because the places I've been going to which is around my house sucked! At this point I was willing to travel and pay more money for my nails to look the way I love them to look. Come Saturday morning the hunt was on. First shop I visited was the Luxe which was to overrated for my taste. They only do gel acrylic which is in my opinion dumb. To take off my nails and get an acrylic set it was going to cost me 95.00 which to me is not that serious so I left. I went to another place across the street and it looked like they only did natural nail care which was nice but not what I was looking for. Then I came across Ombre Nails. They have a huge color selection, place is always clean and there's parking which really is a determining factor for me -- I hate being inconvenienced especially in LA :) I always come see Ruby, she's amazing! Simon is exceptional at shaping them and making them look amazing. He just gets it, period! There's many colors to choose from in both the regular polishes and gel. The pedis are awesome and they provide a variety of services to fit your relaxation needs. There's plenty of parking either in the garage below the building, or in the surrounding neighborhood. They do such beautiful nails, but I can not handle the service there anymore so I told myself I'm never going again. Made me wait more than 40 minutes, while the male worker Simon did another customers nails. He even went outside after he finished her nails in no rush when he saw me sitting there. We called at 1:20 and asked if the gentleman had availability and he said that he would be available to see us at 2:00. At 2:35pm we had not been seen. In addition they only take cash but we didn't know that until after we'd shown up. A part of customer service is integrity and being honest about how long it will take you to service clients. I came here on Nov. 17th to get my nails done before a trip to Hawaii. I got a full set, coffin shaped with no decorations - just a glitter polish on my ring fingers - and it was $45. More than I've paid other places but it was well worth it for the quality and the lasting power. It was crowded, but they were managing it well and making sure everyone was seen to. I was seen by Seven, who was very polite and courteous. He was very patient when I was having trouble choosing a color and shape, and made sure my nails were looking great by the time I left. After about 2 1/2 weeks, between roughing about with them in Hawaii, deep cleaning my apartment, and general wear and tear (I'm rather clumsy) I've had 1 nail break, and had one start to lift when I caught it on my jeans. Considering how rough I am with my nails, this is minimal damage and I have to say I'm REALLY impressed with how well they lasted. I'll definitely be going back in the next few days to get them redone for my upcoming travel plans for the rest of the holiday season. read more
