    Strawberry Matcha

To be honest, it was about a 5/10 experience for me. OME is fairly new on Delmar, so I wanted to give it a try. I went on a Tuesday afternoon, and there was nobody ahead of me, but I still waited almost 20 minutes for just two drinks. I ordered through their machine, sat down, and scrolled on my phone until I realized it had already been 15 minutes. I think the shop is missing a clear workflow or sequencing process, like what to make first and when to start each drink. I stood up to check on the situation and noticed the barista had 3-4 drinks going at the same time and seemed a little overwhelmed. She ended up messing up my order, which I honestly kind of saw coming. Ceremonial matcha takes time to prepare, so having a solid process is really important, especially in a busy area like Delmar, where students are often rushing to get to class. Drinks were just okay. I had the strawberry matcha. Matcha and strawberry tastes like good quality stuff. Matcha frappe tasted average. Starbucks is right across the street. Ome needs to try harder to break through :)

Spotted this place while walking around with a friend and decided to pop in. It used to be a different cafe but they completely redid the interior and it's now super modern and clean. Lots of students studying or catching up with friends which gave it a really nice cozy atmosphere. Seating is limited though, maybe 10 spots max, so just keep that in mind. Menu is straightforward and easy to read, and ordering through the kiosk was simple. There are only two baristas so the wait was a little longer than expected. I got a fruity sparkling drink which was good, I just personally wished it was a touch sweeter. My friend got the matcha creamy drink and loved it, though fair warning it leans heavily on the sweet cream rather than the matcha flavor so if you're going in expecting bold bitter matcha taste you might be surprised. Still delicious though. Overall I'd come back. The vibe is great and their prices are actually slightly cheaper than the other boba spots nearby which is always a nice bonus.

Loved my visit to Ome Cafe! The atmosphere was welcoming and relaxing, making it a great spot to grab a drink and unwind. We ordered the Mango Matcha Latte and the Pineapple Aloha Smoothie, both were delicious. The matcha was especially good with great flavor and not overly sweet. Service was quick.

Visited at the perfect time. Wasn't busy, super chill and had a clean, open space. Ordering at the kiosk was easy and user friendly. Loved the drink and it wasn't full of ice, just the right amount! Will definitely come back again :)

We tried the jasmine matcha latte and floral citrus mist. Jasmine matcha latte was just okay for me, as both the jasmine and matcha flavors weren't very strong. I would be curious what the matcha latte without the jasmine tastes like next time. The floral citrus mist was a winner! It's a cold sweet sparkling drink that was perfectly refreshing for summer. Would definitely get again!

I saw this cute cafe while walking around St. Louis and had to stop by and try! There were so many drink options which made it hard to choose! I decided to try their strawberry matcha and it was good! The service was fast and the worker was kind. There are a few tables to sit inside and there were a lot of students studying. The price of the matcha was quite pricy so I'm not sure if I would get it again but overall good experience!

Never had matcha mango before but it was pretty good. Heavier on the mango than the matcha. I also tried my friends more traditional matcha latte and it's more watery than I wouldve preferred. It has a nice interior with a diverse menu outside of matcha too. Overall, I would come back and try some other drinks!

We stopped by to check it out this new coffee shop yesterday after having lunch in the area. I got their Signature Vienna Einspanner, and my husband got the strawberry matcha latte. My drink was a tad sweet so I will ask if they can adjust next time. We both enjoyed our drinks tho. The shop is quite small, clean with simple decoration. I think they totally can have more tables. Staff was nice and helpful. She shared that OME Café has the same owner with Cha I Enjoy. I already want to come back for their Toffee Caramel Crunch Latte.

Randomly walked by and tried it out. Nice clean restaurant with visible preparation space (which I like), place was clean. Menu was posted and easy to understand, I would have liked an ingredient list for the drinks. Order taker was nice and helped explain what drinks had dairy versus non dairy milk. I ordered a Thai tea and a chai tea with boba. The Thai tea was hands down the best. Cute little spot. Would visit again.

This one did, so I walked over from the restaurant where we were after lunch. This is a very pleasant shop with lots of available seating. It just has a rather modern look, and it was very nice and clean. I came up to talk to a friendly barista. The pour over menu was a bit confusing because there wasn't a lot of information directly on the menu, I asked about one pour over because I had never tried a bean of that origin before. She had good things to say about it, but she said that, if I wanted something fruity or floral to try Haro Wachu from Ethiopia. It was as if she read my mind because I had been wanting to try a natural processed Ethiopian. I'm really glad I took her suggestion! It was one of the best cups of coffee I've ever tried. I didn't taste so much of a note of fruit in it, but I still loved it! I made sure to make a note of what it was in case I have room for more beans at home and want to order it. So, I do wish it was easier to tell what each pour over was in the menu (They have a lot at reasonable prices!). However, I left there thoroughly impressed with the coffee. If you are out on Delmar Loop, they are definitely worth visiting.

The inside is really cute with the hanging flowers, and I loved the light up sign that added to the decor. The space itself is nice a bright, very open with super friendly staff. They have local artist work on the walls for sale which is really cool. I recommend checking it out!

Another coffee shop would have pretended to have been in business since the 19th century, before the latte was even invented, but not Crema. It's got *integrity*. Anyway, no one would believe that anything here is older than a year or two. It all new-looking. It has a certain sheen to it, like somewhere where you'd pay $40 for a Yankee Candle at Plaza Frontenac. As I arrived today with members of my running group, an unhoused gentleman was being, erm, questioned out front by 12. He may have spent the night in the lobby of this apartment building. It just so happened to be right as Crema was opening. Did they report him to the authorities? Should they have given him a job sweeping the sidewalk out front like the wise old neighborhood drunk in the movie Do the Right Thing, the lovable old James? Instead of bringing him downtown, the police merely confiscated his drugs and sent him on his way. (I hope he wasn't late for work.) I wonder what they do with those drugs. I've seen the movie Bad Lieutenant. I didn't know whether to be disappointed or relieved that this place doesn't carry a burrito. I love a burrito more than I love most people, but maybe this is not the place to get a burrito. But I figured I probably couldn't go wrong with a breakfast sandwich. You can't make a bad breakfast sandwich. Even a Breakfast Jack is a good breakfast sandwich. They certainly charge a premium for their breakfast sandwich. I figured this would be a situation where they charge you money out the ass for hardly any food. I was willing to take the hit anyway, for the sake of citizen food journalism, and also because I'd just run umpteen miles. Come to find out, this thing is roughly the size of a football. Its appearance is more along the lines of a torta, the hefty sandwiches from which portly Hispanic girls get their nickname. Alas, it was just okay. The croissant was ginormous but of middling quality. If it were the same size and as rich as the croissants at Comet Coffee, it would be roughly 10,000 calories, so that may have been for the best. The bacon tasted oddly similar to a Ball Park hot dog, in both a good and bad way. They give you plenty of it, but I suspect they still come out ahead. The eggs would have been fine if they'd been salted. In theory, the salt from the bacon and the cheese would have carried over to the eggs, but I don't know if I have a refined enough palate for that to be the case. I approve of a Breakfast Jack, after all. I'm willing to accept the fact that the Horchata Latte may have just been a bad order on my part. I may have needed to specify some type of syrup so that it was sweeter than it was and I didn't realize that, because what do I know about fancy coffee drinks? Or I might just not like horchata, with which I have minimal experience. They carry a gooey butter cake latte, and I should have gone with that. It was calling my name the way crack calls the guy they called the cops on. Which brings me to the Gooey Butter Cake Edges, which caught my eye in the pastry case, as if my sandwich and drink alone weren't caloric enough. I like gooey butter cake (natch), and I like the idea of "cake edges." Would this be along the lines of those brownies that are all corners? It kinda was, except that the crust wasn't quite as crisp as you'd like it to be. I don't think these were the actual edges of a gooey butter cake. They may have just been leftover cake batter baked into strips. It was still delicious, because it was gooey cake. The actual gooey butter cake may have been better. Again, I'm willing to take credit for what may have been a mistake on my part. Like the lovable old James, we all make mistakes sometimes. Crema has only been around for a few years, so I'm sure it's only a matter of time until they get their few issues ironed out. The decor is already top notch.
