I felt invisible! Went for breakfast this morning to a half full restaurant and got up and left after being totally ignored for 15 minutes. I'd understand if it was busy but the waitstaff was just standing around. A two waitresses passed by our table and never even acknowledged we were there. The omelettes here are HUGE, and they have a huge selection to choose from. I'm NOT an omelette kind of guy, so I got the Avocado Toast with Chili Flakes and eggs (over easy) on top. This was such a basic dish, but it was made so perfectly. Nice amount of avocado, eggs were perfect, and the sourdough bread was so soft. I cleaned up this plate! Finally made it to omelette express during SIP. We've been here a few times in the past and the prices have us go elsewhere. Based on past service and experience 3 stars at best. Last week hubby got a "Denver" and I had the omelette with herbs, cheese, bacon, and mushrooms. I added avocado and had a side of salsa. My omelette was delicious and perfectly cooked. Hubby's was ok but not exciting or seasoned. Price was still high for two omelette and no drinks compared to similar breakfast options in town. If we're to return I'd get mine again. read more

I happened to be in Windsor during breakfast time, so I came here for the first time. I had been to the Santa Rosa location, but not the Windsor one. The place was super busy, so there were several people standing in the entrance ready to be seated. It went pretty quick and we got our seat after a short wait. I had to order an omelette since I assume it's their specialty with it being in their name, and i do love omelettes. I ordered the #1: bacon, smashed avocado, tomato, and cheese. It came with cottage potatoes with wheat sourdough bread. The potatoes were just ok and the bread was fine. However...I don't remember ever having a better tasting omelette. My brother and son took me here after I had surgery because I was really hungry. It wasn't packed at all and we got a table super fast. I got a cappuccino which was really good with whipped cream and cinnamon sprinkled on top. I ordered a cowboy benedict and I wanna say our food it didn't take long to get out at all. The food was hot and very tasty! I ordered extra hollandaise sauce and ordered my potatoes extra crispy. Everything was good except my pouched eggs! I like my eggs runny and they were actually over cooked on the yolk part. If it wasn't for that then I would of gave them more stars but usually my pouched eggs are runny and these were not. I've had it before here and same thing happened. I figured it was a one time thing and next time maybe it be runny but nope. Maybe next time I'll say something to the server. This was my 2nd time here. We came last Sunday around 9:00 am and it was very crowded, unlike the last time I was there. They seemed to turn the tables over quickly though, so that was a good thing! Despite the crowd, we got seated within 5 min. I ordered the same thing I got last time - corned beef hash with country potatoes and 2 poached eggs. It also came with toast. First of all, their portions are huge! I could barely eat half of it, and felt bad that I couldn't take the rest of it to go. The food is good and the service is attentive. Our stomachs were still on East Coast time and we were looking for someplace that was open early on a Sunday morning. I'm glad we found Omelette Express. It was very clean and the service was good. Of course we were one of the first people there due to our East Coast internal clocks. I went with the ham, scallion, potato and cheese while my husband had the anchovies, spinach, scallions and cheese. Bless you California, for having salsa being a regular option at breakfast. Woah. Delicious! Was kinda empty when I arrived. It was close to closing time. I'm a eggs Benedict and French toast kinda gal so this was pretty close to perfect. The eggs Benedict unfortunately were, I believe, over cooked. I prefer runny yolks. The potato's lacked a bit of flavor, but a little salt and in combination with the eggs Benedict it was pretty good. The Cinnamon French toast was huge. It was a mission. One of the best breakfast spots in the area. Our original plan was going to visit another location, but it was packed. I am glad we found this place as an alternative. its close to one of my favorite liquor stores in the area. The breakfast was delicious and its extremely spacious. The staff was lovely. I purchased the #1 omlette. It's suppose to have smashed avocado, tomato, bacon and cheese . It's not smashed avocado it's fake pre-made guacamole from cash and carry. Its disgusting. I misread my work schedule and ended up showing up 3 hours early. I was already in Windsor and home was about 20 minutes away so I asked my co-worker if there's any nice spots around here. She pointed me towards Omelette Express. It's a quiet little place tucked in between a few other buildings, but the sign outside was easy enough to spot. When I walked in, I was prompted to sit anywhere I'd like and quickly greeted by a server. She was very sweet, very patient and very swift but not rudely so. Shout out to the server in the black shirt, you're amazing. I ordered a mocha and a #9, being the omelette with bacon, spanish sauce and cheese. You get a handful of cheeses to pick from, and I chose feta. When the mocha arrived at the table, it was filled to the limit without spilling and had whipped cream piled on top beautifully. It was very pretty and on top of that, it tasted amazing. The omelette comes with a piece of toasted sourdough and a healthy portion of cottage potatoes. I will admit, the potatoes on their own were a little underseasoned for my taste but when paired with their in house salsa I have no complaints. I cut into the omelette to take a look, and it sliced beautifully. Cooked to a very slight brown on the outside, steamy and gooey on the inside. I was honestly very impressed by my first bite and every bite following. I couldn't think of anything that would improve the dish, as it was already satisfactory. In total, I got a generously sized omelette, cottage potatoes, a slice of sourdough toast and a beautiful and satisfying mocha for just under $25. The only reason I wouldn't rate this spot 5 stars is because I reserve that rating for things that blow my mind and make me shed a tear lmao. However, Omelette Express, based on my visit, is worth trying out if you're in the area. Thank you front of house, thank you back of house. You guys were amazing!!!! read more

I much prefer the Santa Rosa location for ambiance but in all fairness, I think the food was the same at both places. It was empty inside but it was close to 2pm. I love this place and the Santa Rosa one but wow was I disappointed today! I come for quality fresh food and expect to get it but today I watched the chef MICROWAVE my bacon.....took it out of the fridge PRECOOKED and then he microwaved it..... Very disappointed and disgusted. If this is how they do things they shouldn't charge what they do since they can't even cook it fresh. The omelette (separate from the bacon) is barely warm and the cheese isn't even melted much....still clumpy! The quality has seriously gone down hill and is way worse than the Santa Rosa one. read more
