Came in on a trip to Saint Louis. We picked it because it was close to where we were staying. I am glad we did because it is great. There are many pastries to choose from, but I wanted coffee. I was debating on which espresso to get and was offered a "dry latte." I never heard of it before, but said yes. It is my new favorite drink- a not to milky espresso. More foam. It tastes great. The inside is cute and fun. I'll be back - tomorrow!

Was nice and slow on a Saturday morning! Great service and immediately was greeted with a smile. Ordered the chicken empanada and it was warm and flavorful, I thoroughly enjoyed it with the chimichurri on it. Also had a dirty chai with oat milk and that was delicious as well. They had a kids play area which I thought was awesome and had couches in addition to tables and chairs. I sat for a while and read my book but would also be a great place to do work with free wifi and tons of natural light! I will definitely be back.

Tried Lanco for the first time on a weekday morning, so it was very quiet quiet and nice in the coffee shop. They have a large selection of sweets and breakfast items to go along with your coffee. I got to try one of their specialty drinks, which was the Mardi Gras latte. It was very delicious and sweet. They have plenty of indoor seating if you would like to stay in each year, sweet tree and coffee! Service was fast and efficient. The waitress had good suggestions for drinks and snack items to order. I look forward to coming back again

This shows just how much foam was in the latte, too much for a latte.

Great place! My first time here, I would love to make it to every coffee shop in St Louis! Staff were very friendly, they were just two working so it was maybe a little slow even though we had called ahead so they were expecting a group of us. They have a second area that actually belongs to an apartment complex that is attached, but they are allowed to use it so we were seated over there since we were in a group and there was plenty of room. The food was fantastic, initially people were not happy with the lattes. They were more like cappuccinos, more foam than coffee. Someone said that the person making them was new though. I would definitely come back, love the city atmosphere, loved the food, having not known what to expect. Parking was not a problem on the street. A few disappointments, but overall a good experience that I would try again.

I have been telling people about my experience all week. Here, you order and then sit down our items were ready as we moved through the payment process, so I'm guessing you always pick up at the counter. I did not have a high expectation for my beef empanada, but I was pleasantly surprised with a ton of flavor and it was very filling/heavy in my stomach. No need for the chocolate croissant, but of course I ate it also. This would have been better if it had been warmed up a little bit, but in their defense we did not ask if that was an option. My favorite part, the empanada was really good, but my FAVORITE part is my new found love for Cafe de Olla. I am aware this coffee is not unique to La Finca, but this was delicious. I'm going to pretend that there wasn't any sugar involved in the seasoning of this coffee. Definitely cinnamon and star annise, a fantastic compliment to coffee's usual bitter taste. La Finca is on my way to work, I will definitely have to stop by more often.

La Finca looked generic from the outside so I wasn't expecting much, but the interior is super quaint and cozy with an electric fireplace and comfy couches. I had an excellent cortado & sat for awhile reading my book. It was very quiet on a Friday afternoon so I basically had the place to myself. The barista was friendly and accommodating as well. I didn't try any of the food, as I thought the empanadas were a little overpriced but they looked tasty! I'd swing by again to lounge and read.

An adorable coffee shop. The turtle latte with oat milk was perfect. (pictured) I purchased a bag of Costa Rica coffee. I highly recommend if you are in the market for coffee beans to ground at home.

Wow! 100 bonus points for being open after a major snowstorm hit St. Louis. The strawberry chocolate latte made my snow adventures even more delicious, and I was able to warm up my cold feet. I'll be back to enjoy the coffee and music and vibes!

La Finca is a cute coffee shop with delicious coffee and great food - breakfasts burritos, empanadas! I love their espresso and tonic! There are so many options of places to hang out or to work.

this coffee shop has been on my yelp list since i moved to stl! and it was so nice that it was like a 3 minute walk from the clinic we were working at! anyways their seasonal drinks look so good. i ended up getting an iced spiced brown sugar latte which was yummy! service was great, everyone was so nice and my colleague's coffee was ready before she even paid! i need to make another stop to try out their lavender matcha!

Cute coffee shop right in The Grove. I got an iced mocha, it was great! Not too sweet. This seems like a great place to hang out & work on your laptop. It's quiet & the tables aren't super close together like some places. There's plenty of places to sit. Wasn't very busy at 9am on a Sunday so we got our drinks quickly.

Great location in the Grove to grab a coffee or tea. Plenty of street parking available to guests. Service was pleasant. The vibes were chill and relaxed inside to provide an easy morning.

This is my second time visiting this neighborhood coffee shop in a residential area of Tower Grove…read moresouth. It is LGBT friendly and affirming. It's definitely a safe place. There is a one person unisex bathroom. They have an entrance with a few steps or a full ramp to enter. It is street parking only and I've always been able to get a close parking spot as many residents in the neighborhood walk there. There are scattered tables throughout the restaurant. There are plants in the front window, local artists artwork on the wall for sale and a glass case full of goodies. You order at the counter and they bring your order to the table when it's ready. On this visit, I ordered a breakfast bowl that had potatoes, eggs, cheese, spinach and tomatoes, with a side of toast. I also ordered a black pepper & rosemary scone, and a cold brew coffee. Everything was absolutely delicious. Besides this establishment having a wonderful and welcoming vibe, the staff is top-tier. They were so incredibly kind, friendly and patient. The staff is always friendly and helpful, the food comes out quickly, and the shaded patio is a great place to sit and enjoy your meal. The espresso shake was absolutely delicious, but the Lou Melt was the standout of my visit. The bread had the perfect crunch on the outside while staying soft on the inside, and unlike many steak burgers , it wasn't greasy at all. The French Dip was just okay. It could have used a bit more flavor, and I wish there had been more meat on the sandwich. The bread, however, was fresh, airy, and incredibly soft, which helped make it enjoyable. The Caesar salad was another highlight. The kale was massaged just enough to make it tender while still keeping a nice crunch, and every bite left me wanting more. The Greek salad wasn't quite as memorable. The dressing tasted mostly like oil with only a slight hint of vinegar, so it felt like it was missing the bold, tangy flavors I was expecting. I also ordered an iced vanilla latte, which was excellent. It was smooth, not overly sweet, and didn't have the bitter taste that some coffee drinks can have. Overall, Mokabe's offers a warm, inviting atmosphere, consistently friendly service, and a menu with several standout items. While a couple of dishes could use a little more seasoning, I'd happily come back for the Lou Melt, Caesar salad, coffee, and the overall experience.

I was already familiar with Upshot Coffee's game from a visit to their Clayton location a few weeks…read moreago. I tried the breakfast burrito, and it honestly changed my life. I was able to get off drugs and reconnect with my family as the result of eating a burrito. You can imagine my excitement, then, when it was announced that a group I run with was meeting at this Tower Grove South location. I wasn't crazy about getting up early the day after America's 250th birthday, and there was the slight possibility that I'd barf during my run around Tower Grove Park (people might think I was back on drugs), but I was willing to risk it for the, erm, burrito. Actually, it occurred to me that I might try something else, for the sake of citizen food journalism. Then my decision was made for me when I saw that they carry a bagel with lox. I've eaten literally a million bagels with lox, going back to the 1980s, but only either at home or at places that aren't very good, like Einstein Bros. Alas, I was informed that the bagel with lox was currently unavailable, because they were out of lox. Which struck me as odd, given that lox is not served fresh. It's not like they had to go pull it out of the water that morning or have it flown in from Alaska, packed in ice. Was there a run on the lox due to a nearby media-industry convention? Did they accidentally leave it sitting out overnight? I imagine that would smell crazy. I went with the Everything, which may have been the better choice anyway. Named after the famous bagel seasoning, it's essentially a bacon, egg and cheese on a bagel with cream cheese and a tomato. But describing it that way doesn't really do it justice. You have to attempt to wrap your lips around it in order to truly appreciate it. No Diddy. It's the bagel-sandwich equivalent of their legendary burrito, and it might be just as good. The bacon and egg are perfectly cooked, with the egg just slightly underdone and the bacon nice and crisp but still with a little bit of chew. The helping of cream cheese is weirdly generous, to the point where just the cream cheese on a bagel would be a fairly substantial sandwich. The tomato, which was a little bit tart, made for a nice accent. It comes wrapped in one of those diapers they used to use on some of the bigger burgers at Hardee's, to keep it from falling apart the moment you try to bite into it. You'd still eat all the individual elements using your fingers, because you're a savage and because they're that good, but it wouldn't be the same. It's a testament to the thoughtfulness and the ingenuity of the kitchen staff at Upshot that they thought to do that.
