Wonderful place for a family meal! Meat is beautifully presented and servings are super generous! Banchan has switched to a salad bar style so you can pick your own sauces and sides, which was such a treat. Cocktails were really interesting and delicious. Pretty decent AYCE KBBQ place with good service. It's $29.99 per person for AYCE. There's a buffet area with side dishes, noodles, soup, and other items that you can grab. There's a pretty good variety of items and they taste pretty decent. There's also a sauce bar area. You can order 3 meats at a time. My favorite is the LA Galbi. The Korean ladies here are super nice and friendly. The boys will come by to change your grill quite often. The restaurant is pretty large and good for big groups. Omi... You're a good man in a cruel world... *brings out 3 star* Unfortunately, this meat was not good. There was no brisket sauce or bean paste sauce, which are the essential sauces I like to lather on my meat at whatever kbbq I'm at!!! The flavors of the meats were not popping at all, and the selection was honestly kinda small. The good thing was they were accommodating to my friend who is a vegetarian so they made a soondoobu without any meat in it. Unfortunately for my friend, it didn't matter because I snuck some brisket into the soup while they weren't looking. I eat double the meat to cancel out my vegetarian friend's hard work! JUST KIDDING! (Sometimes) "OMI GOSH! BAAAAAAGHHHHH" Heh my wallet started screaming when the bill came. This place isn't bad if you haven't been to any other kbbq restaurants before. I really enjoyed this place. The food quality is pretty good and tasty, the servers were honestly super helpful, friendly, and nice. He kept coming back and asking if we were alright and even helped us cook a little. The restaurant is neat and clean. The pork belly comes out in massive portions and the meat is all top tier for AYCE for only $30. I love how the steamed egg and house salad also comes with that ayce. Great spot, will be coming back! My only thing is that my clothes really smelt like kbbq afterwards and lingered around for a long time, so definitely be wary! read more

Service was very slow, and without someone at our table who could speak Korean, communication was quite difficult. I even pressed the service button on the wall but received no response. The food itself was decent, with a few standout flavors, but overall the experience felt average compared to other Korean BBQ spots in the area. The meat quality was okay, but we were only allowed to order three dishes at a time despite having five adults at the table, which made the meal less enjoyable. The atmosphere is casual and comfortable, but service really brought the experience down. First of all food was bleh/meh. There was no flavor at all. The sauces were mid as well. No chilli sauce or brisket sauce (the best of the best). This is my first serious review there's no time to play anymore. I'm a Korean bbq master I eat kbbq Probsbly once a week. Walking in there it looked promising. The food just wasn't good. No flavor. Sorry for the rant but at least the service was good. The servers always came by and the owner or manager was super nice. Ambiance was alright too. When I think of kbbq I think of a pocha kind of vibe. But other than that for the same price, go to MOODAEPO 5 minutes away. The food is 10000000 times better. The sides especially. Man I love this place because the food is good (sometimes the marinate on the bulgogi is off and the meat sometimes dry), and the ambiance is nice but they ALWAYS have an attitude towards people. Like they're almost angry that I'm not coming in for bbq when I want the regular lunch menu. Always always grumpy looking, no I'm not exaggerating, they won't even acknowledge sometimes that I say "thank you" or ask how their day is going. There is an option of them cooking the food in the kitchen and bringing it out to you or you can grill it at the table. I prefer grilling at the table because you can cook it to your liking and it's nice and hot. The staff actually helps grill majority of the order. Both the prime rib and pork belly tasted pretty good. It was perfect amount that fed 3 people. Their banchan are delicious and my favorite is their eggplant and tofu. My family goes here all the time for a solid and safe meal in Carrollton as they have tons of options to choose from. The panchan (free appetizers) are typically good - they had kimchi, tofu, potato, etc. this time. I ordered the Galbi/Short Rib Bento Box Lunch Special and thought it was the perfect amount of food. It came with 2 dumplings, salad, oranges, and rice. The short ribs were delicious!! The flavor was juicy and there wasn't too much fat on the meat. Used to come to this place all the time when I was a kid, would have left a review but Yelp didn't exist back then. The place is near H-mart Carrollton, so it's surrounded by competitors but it still more than holds its own. It's large on the inside and pretty clean, the staff is quick to take you orders and have it out quick, especially when it's not slammed during the lunch rush. The food is affordable depending on what you get, but most of the more pricey dished are meant to be shared anyway. They always come with a selection of tasty sides and you can ask for more of a particular side that you liked if you want to. My favorite being the spicy cucumber. I would recommend this place for anyone trying Korean cuisine for the first time. It's rather safe on its menu items and I haven't had anything yet that would make me reconsider that statement. read more

Love the side dishes when ordering a la carte. We eat here every time we feel like Korean food. Spicy chicken or bulgogi is my go to plates but have tried they tofu and is pretty tasty. Service is ok. It really depends on who you get. Some are very friendly and fast and some are a bit more slow pace and have to call them instead of checking on you. The place is big enough that you are not really close to another patron so points there. You can also get the Korean BBQ at your table but we end up over eating so we got for a la carte. read more

This is one of my favorite spots for AYCE kbbq. They're open most holidays, so I came here for an easy Thanksgiving out with my family. While their prices have gone up quite a bit over the past few years, I feel the value is still good for what you get. The service is pretty good, we were frequently checked in on by our server and there is a button you can press for assistance as well. I find that Omi is a bit inconsistent in meat quality, but my experience today was delicious. The side dishes here are better than some other korean bbq spots I've been to, which is one of the traits that keeps me coming back. My favorite meats here are the sliced inside skirt and the bulgogi. They have seating for bbq and dine in, so there's range in what you can get here. Used to be such a good restaurant, but after the change to no traditional banchans to a hot food station was very disappointing. Omi is known for their outstanding sides and not having them anymore is truly disappointing. The hot food station was very lacking and was not fresh at all. Owners should have not changed it and kept it the same. One thing I will add is that it was fairly clean, but not enough to bring us back. $30 for meat and cold "hot" station food is not worth it in my opinion. You can never go hungry when dining at a Korean bbq spot. We came on a Monday night and it was not busy. I was surprised that I wasn't suffocating in dense smoke like some of the other places I've been to. We opted for the all you can eat option, which came with a decent selection of meats and seafood. The bulgogi and brisket were spot on! So tender and delicious. Also highly recommend the baby octopus and soybean paste stew (try it with steamed eggs for added texture). The staff were extremely attentive and checked on us pretty regularly. A couple of the older waitresses even helped us cook our meals. Every time I visit Dallas, I have to eat here. I'm so surprised that the rating isn't higher. They offer AYCE and a la carte. Get the a la carte! The cuts of meat are fantastic and the best part is after all your meat is grilled, they make kimchi fried rice! Service is so fast and efficient. They are good about refilling the banchan. When you order the meat a la carte, you also get the soybean (dang jang jigae) soup, and steamed egg. I'm not sure if you get all the bonus stuff with AYCE. read more

The 3 star review is due to the waiter nearly catching the whole place on fire but otherwise everything else went great. (I'm not trying to be funny or sarcastic) Make sure that they turn off the burner when the staff come to add water in the oil pan underneath. Otherwise you might get a raging oil fire like our table did. It was at least 4 feet high. Thankfully the manager jumped into action and saved us! We have been to Omi a few times and love stoping here when we are in town. Its nestled in a great area of town with lots of culture and delicious food. We always get the Korean BBQ and love seeing what sides they come out with. The Kimchi is always a hit and then we love the bulgogi and just all the beefs! You must get some Soju while you are enjoying your food as well! Service is always so fast and they change out the BBQ grates pretty regularly so you dont feel like you are burning everything! A random night out with friends was successful. We ordered 3 order of pork belly and 2 order of brisket. The quality of both meat was good with good mixture of meat+fat. Every order comes with variety of side dishes including Korean style miso soup, steamed egg, kimchi, spicy radish, and pickled radish. Another thing different about Omi is that as the meat is cooked, bean sprout and kimchi is also placed on the grill and cooked together. After eating all or most of the meat, rice is cooked with leftover meat, bean sprout and kimchi which becomes the fried rice.
