Just want to give a big shout out to the staff member named Brandon! He was beyond kind and friendly and just had such great customer service skills. Seems like a gem of a worker. In terms of what we got, my friend and I both felt like the boba were too soft and blend unfortunately. And the flavors of the teas were just alright. Another staff member was cleaning the seats with a strong chemical cleaning product and eventually it was too strong of a smell that my friend and I just wanted to leave without actually finishing our drinks. I really liked the vibe there so I was definitely hoping I would like it and want to return. Tried Mosa Tea recently and overall thought it was a pretty decent spot. The drinks are Taiwanese style, with a strong tea base. I ordered the Tieguanyin milk tea and the osmanthus Tieguanyin milk tea. Both had a rich tea flavor, which I appreciated. The osmanthus one tasted more like osmanthus syrup and it added sweetness Overall, solid drinks, but nothing particularly standout. It actually reminded me a bit of Wushiland in LA. The main downside for me is the parking situation. It's pretty limited, and nearby parking isn't the most convenient. Especially during dinner hours, about 2/3 of the spaces are valet for the restaurant next door, which makes it even harder to find a spot. Taiwanese tea is their focus here and the quality shows within their all their drinks. I had the chance to visit after waiting some for busy crowds to settle down after their opening. The tea store is fairly small and the parking may be limited, so I had to park over near Cafe Matcha Maiko. I tried two milk tea drinks: Taiwanese Retro Milk and Tie Guan Yin Oolong Special. If you're wanting something more tea focused, go for the Taiwanese Retro Milk, and the TGY if you are wanting more milk. I found the taste of the TGY more flavorful to me; however, I lessened the sugar for the Taiwanese Retro MT, and it had less flavor. Their boba was cooked nicely and perfectly chewy. If you're not feeling the milk teas, fruit teas and brewed teas are also offered. It's a cute but small cozy tea shop that captures what I picture a tea shop in Taiwan to look like! Inside, they have a very sleek minimalist and modern interior with a good amount of seating. For their menu, they have a solid selection of different signature, milk tea, and fruit tea drinks to choose from. Wifey ended up getting the Tie Guan Yin Oolong Tea and I got the Grapefruit Bloom. Right when I entered, I was offered a sample of the Tie Guan Yin Special which comes with Tie Guan Yin oolong milk tea and brown sugar hún-kué (tapioca jelly). Mosa Tea recently held its soft opening over the past weekend. It replaced a Vietnamese boba tea shop that had operated out of this suite for less than two years. I don't think the location is optimal as it's in the same plaza as The Godfather, however the visibility was restricted from the roadside and only if you are traveling eastbound. The interior decor was modified with more neutral tones. The seating capacity was limited, and most of it was occupied by customers waiting for their order during my visit. There were menu stands posted outside on the sidewalk that I looked at before entering. About a half dozen offerings were available in each of the four categories of Brewed Tea, Milk Tea, Mosa Signature, and Tea with Fresh Fruits. Four Seasons Tea was listed as one of the bases. I thought it was a combination of different tea leaves, but it was actually an oolong variety from Taiwan known for its unique flavor and light flowery aroma. I tried a taste sample, and it certainly had flowery notes. My choice was an Apple Green Tea from the Tea with Fresh Fruits section. Boba pearls were already sold out which I thought was unusual given they had only been open for less than hour. This inventory issue will need to be rectified before they have a full grand opening. A couple of apple slices were added to the cup to enhance the flavor. The tea quality was pretty solid. I wish that the worker offered them & described it to us-- first...before she took our order and we paid. Because it was so delicious! I went with the Pistachio Mist, 75% Sweet. I think, I'd go for regular sweetness if I were to get it again. I personally would NOT order this drink again. I don't think I'm a fan of the tea, it had a slightly roasted and savory taste to it. The pistachio foam was delicious and the presentation was beautiful. But texturally, I didn't enjoy the crushed pistachios-- drinking these had me chewing like they were styrofoam (even though they were legit pistachios). Drinks came out in a timely manner and they give you the receipt which has the number on it. They call this number out and you pick up the drinks there. I think that having another trash can by the door would be helpful. Because sometimes the area to the bathroom is cluttered with groups standing therefore getting to trash can to throw away the straw wrappers is difficult. I was debating between their TGY special and the chestnut forest and luckily they had the TGY on sample. I tried it and really liked it but also wanted to try the chestnut foam with match so ordered the chestnut forest. Based on the sample's 75% sugar level which I liked, I ordered 75% sugar even though I normally go for 50%. The drink turned out sweeter than I expected so I didn't enjoy it as much. Love this spot! I got the genmai green tea iced it was intense flavor but gave me lots of energy. Their jellies are good I tried the milk tea sample really nice and have no lactose milk! Staff are also nice. read more
