Had brunch here with some girlfriends on a Saturday - brunch time in Hyde park, on the weekend, does not bode well for parking - just a heads up for those who may be unfamiliar with the Hyde park area. There are a few parking garages, but even those are a pain because people park like idiots. The parking situation isn't On Swann's fault, but it's an annoying factor. We had reservations well in advance, so we didn't have to worry about a wait. It was reasonably busy for a Saturday at brunch time. The decor and overall ambiance was classy but comfortable, which is great imo. Our server was nice and checked on us a good amount of times. The wait time between ordering our food and it coming to the table felt a bit lengthier than I would typically expect, but the food was delicious so it's hard to even complain about that. I got the short rib hash and a croissant and both items were wonderful. The croissant was flaky and buttery, it comes with a honey dip and butter on the side, would def get again. The short rib hash was also a menu item I would order again - the eggs were cooked perfectly, and I'd say I'm a little picky with how runny my eggs are. These were runny, but not TOO runny. The potatoes had a nice crisp to the outside but nice and soft on the inside, the short rib was so tender, so juicy, it was just a very well rounded, great tasting hash. We booked a table for 5pm and by the time we left at 7, there wasn't a seat left in the house (including outside seating). Everything felt very intentional from the custom "Happy Birthday" menus to the amazing customer service. It's in a Hyde park strip of very nice stores so after eating you can always have a good time. Because I came on Easter parking was very hard but usually it should be easy to find a spot! The food was set neatly and the servers came to clean very often. I got the BLT and it was very flavorful only downside was the bread was very greasy, it took away the healthy fresh feeling of the sandwich. The Hot Chicken crisp tenders were absolutely stellar with the spicy buttermilk batter and paprika honey butter and romesco aioli. Personally, I could have just ordered the Beef Carpaccio and the Hot Chicken crispy tenders. That completely satisfied me to the point where I had to take the Pork chop back home after attempting to make a dent in it, as I was already full.
