My data has been breached and my emails are being accessed from at least three different states and three different I.P. addresses. When I called Apple Computers to file a complaint, they informed me this computer is no longer an authorized dealer and should not have worked on my computer. In retrospect, I recall getting a phone call informing me my computer was stolen and they have my data. I thought it was a scam and ignored it! Buyer Beware!!!!!! My sister's boyfriend suspected my hard drive had crashed, and I panicked. I had three years' worth of documents and pictures on it, only a portion of which I had backed up elsewhere. I frantically jumped on his computer and started researching where I could bring in my machine for data recovery. Geek Squad had a ridiculous $250 fee just for the recovery, and I was warned that I wouldn't see my computer for a couple weeks probably. So, we came to Yelp. Yelpers, ignore the fact that Hamlet only has 5 reviews on here. He is awesome! He was friendly and honest, assuring me he would most likely be able to recover my data. When I mentioned buying a new computer, he told me mine was in great shape and a new hard drive would be a relatively cheap fix. Thirty minutes after I left, he called to say that he'd be able to recover my data and asked if I did want my hard drive replaced. I told him yes, to go ahead. I just picked up my machine and it's running like a charm, and ALL MY DATA is here!! Best of all, his fee for all of this (including the new drive) was less than what Geek Squad would have charged to recover the data. I'd definitely use him again if I would run into problems!
