I went here with huge basket full of clothing another with 40 pairs of shoes and another basket of toys. After waiting an hour no one showed me what they were going to purchase. I had to ask what they were offering. Then they showed me a half full bin playing this is what they were going to take. They offered me $42 which I thought was pretty good for what I saw in the bin. I thought they had taken maybe eight items. The girl working very rude that was checking me out because I purchased a couple things while I was waiting. When I got in the car I looked at the receipt that said store bought- 23 items ! So that would equal probably $1.60 per item. If you enjoy trying to walk through a fully loaded cattle car - this is this place for you! The clothes and stuff are piled so thick you can't really see any of it and when it comes to equipment and furniture, you definitely can't get it out to take a look at it. As the other reviewers have said, if it's a brand name, the price is automatically high regardless of condition. I brought my niece here to grab some onsies. They were 10 for $10. Decent price for stocking up. Regular price is $1.50/each. They do have some decent/nice items for good prices. Just be prepared to fight people in itty bitty spaces to get to them. read more

Every time I try to sell there's an issue. I brought in a Hot Wheels garage that retails for $100 they supposedly give you 30% but tried to give me $10 the thing is only a couple months old brand new with all the pieces and everything in order. I brought in a huge lot of Peppa Pig toys at least $200 worth of toys if not more they try to give me $10 for it. There was a toy they said they would buy if I had all the pieces so I came home with my house apart found all the pieces and when I brought it back (the next day)they told me they no longer wanted it. Most of the clothes there overpriced for their condition. The only time you get a good deal is with the clearance but it's slim pickings. I'm done with them. Too much of a hassle for me. I'll either sell on Marketplace from now on or just donate. read more

The thing I find funny about these resale places is yes they do offer you pennies for your items to resale them at a higher price that's the business folks! It's basically the exact same concept as goodwill only they actually give you something for your stuff! ALSO every one claims they go in there with all this brand name stuff that is practically new I just find that super hard to believe because browsing their selection you rarely stumble upon a brand name piece....old navy, circo, geranimals, children's place aren't brand name so yes you will basically get pennies for the shirt you paid 5 bucks for brand new then your kid wore it a few times and now they can maybe sell it for 2 bucks so you will probably get 50 cents for it... Everyone complains about how little they give you for your stuff, and follow it up with I should just donate it to goodwill....well goodwill ' s concept is the same only they get you to give it to them for nothing! I guess if you don't want the few bucks you can get atleast drop your stuff off to a real charity or shelter but don't complain about how little they give (goodwill gives 0), they are running a business they have an overhead, and employees to pay as well i.e. business, no different then target or walmart, who buys their inventory for pennies from China (child labor) them turns around and sell it to you for 5. I went last week and brought 6 very full bins with me. I checked in and then started to bring my heavy bins in and once I brought in the 3rd one, one of the workers told me they are only accepting one bin per customer per day now, and proceeded to point to the size of the bin they will accept. I was a bit confused but she explained it was because of the increase in minimum wage so they couldn't have as many workers at one time anymore. I was irritated because I just drove 30 minutes to their location and there is zero signs posted anywhere regarding that new policy, and I was even more irritated that no one told me anything as I was checking in instead of waiting until I had already brought in the 3rd bin. Not to mention there was maybe 1 other customer in the store and the bins ahead of me were already completed. As a business owner myself, I make sure to please my customers in any way that I can.. after-all, they are the ones that are paying my bills each month. They could have stated the new policy and told me as a one time courtesy since I was already there that they would accept the bins I had.. but nope! The girl they had working talked to me with her attitude as if I was supposed to already know this policy. I give it 3 stars because I use OUAC as a last resort after I have tried selling on eBay, Facebook groups, etc before I send to a shelter so I expect the low payouts. But unfortunately for this location, I won't be returning unless that policy goes back to what it was. I live 30 minutes from this place and it's not worth my time to bring just one bin. I'll be making the drive to the Scottsdale location each month to get rid of it all in one shot. read more

I can generally get over one bad experience from a place, but this seems to happen everytime I come here. I will no longer attempt this store any more. They rip you off (beyond normal) when trying to sell something. I tried to sell a bouncer and swing, well over $100 and they gave me $10 for both. Even if it was used that is just ridiculous to offer such a joke of a price. I would have had better luck with Facebook/online groups or other consignment stores. They are also rude (especially the owner). I know it is a consignment store, but it is incredibly dirty and their pricing does not make sense. Found a walmart shirt (normal retail value was $3) and they were asking for $6.50, turn around and found a Tinkerbell costume (retail value $15) and they were also asking for $6.50. After reading these reviews, what do people expect?! It's a business and they can't possibly give everyone back what they originally paid and then turn around and sell it for a fraction of the price. These resale stores are a good place to shop for a bargain, NOT a place to make your money back. The fact that they are picky about what they buy from people should tell someone looking to shop here that they have good stuff. "Good stuff" considering it's a RESALE STORE! I live in California, but every time i go to Arizona I make it a point to stop here and stock up for the next season. I have found the most amazing deals here for my 1 year old. Everything I have purchased has been near perfect condition. I've found Ecko tennis shoes, Ralph Lauren Polo Mary-Jane's, Vans, Guess shoes, Puma's and more, all priced between $3-8 each. Each of these would've been at least $30 new. For clothing I've found Juicy Couture, Guess, Gap, Tommy Hilfiger, Polo, and many more, some with tags still on, all in near new condition. I've never paid more than $8 for an article of name-brand clothing in this place. I am a huge fan of this store, and cant wait to go back. read more

Normally the staff there are so rude and have attitude towards everything but today when I went in they were very patient and kind, a suggestion from me is to go in on a week day during the afternoon if you want good service. I guess after all the bad reviews about how rude they can be they thought of changing! The store is enormous and carries a big variety of... well, really anything a kid could want or need. The clothes are sorted by size, type and color - so you'll find 12 month old girl shirts in red, orange, yellow, green, blue, purple followed by shorts, then pants, then dresses, etc. Sleepwear, however, can be found in a totally different section of the store. Along with "other" categories of clothes like swimwear and winter coats. That threw me off at first, but now that I know, I guess it makes sense. You can find toys in the back of the store. I was told that they request people who sell them toys to clean them first, but it's debatable if that is happening in a lot of cases. You really just have to look at if the overall condition of the toy is good, and then you can clean it up at home. I've found some really great deals on toys and clothes, so I'm a fan! read more

What a joke this place is. Went in here today looking for a specific item and, as always, everything was way overpriced. A Gap or Gymboree tag is an automatic $8-10 price tag in this store regardless of condition. Little secret, both these stores have amazing sales/clearance and coupons that you can combine with them, and you can get those same items BRAND NEW for HALF that price. Several times I saw a Gap tag (for example) that said $6 and the Once Upon A Child tag said $10. I can look at that and see I'm in no way getting a bargain. The staff is rude and the prices they offer you for sell back are a slap in the face. I'll stick with FB groups and Craigslist from now on if I want a bargain. If you are really wanting to make some decent money off your gently used children's items, don't go here. read more

While I appreciate the selection they offer and how clean their store is, most items are vastly over priced. For instance, a light up sword from Walmart was 4.50 there when I purchased it new for $4. Their used kids shirts from Walmart run about $4 as well, when again, new is about 4-5 dollars. I think they need to lower their prices quite a bit read more

This store has the rudest people employed. Actually I believe the rudest individual is the owner or manager. I have shopped here several times and sold items to the store once. No one greets you as you enter which is fine. No one offers to help you while you are shopping which is also fine. But be sure if you do something they don't like such as get something off the top of a shelf or place an item on the wrong side of the register you will get your head ripped off. Pricing is reasonable on most items but some are the same price as new. There are some brand new items which compared to Target are more in once upon a child. They do try to have fun sales and promotions. What prompted review is a recent experience where Julie yelled at my child inappropriately and grabbed his arm. I have observed this before by her with other customers and was appalled. My husband and I where shopping with my 2 year old and 7 year old. My kids were playing in the movie play area. We were ready to leave so my husband picked up my two year old and my son began to climb out over the wall. Since he is 7 I can not pick him up over a wall. Julie yelled at him to knock it off, get down, and walked over and grabbed his arm. I told her not to touch my child. She said to my son, "I bet you act like that at home". Then said to me I never touched him. To which I replied I saw you with my own eyes. She then followed us to the register and just stood there staring while we payed. Then opened the front door for us to leave holding it and rudely stating good bye. My children are well mannered, my son was doing nothing wrong, and there is no way in and out of the play area. There is no door. Only way to get out is to climb over the wall. I'm a better person when my husband is around he is so calm so I said nothing more and left but felt very sad for my son who was confused about what he had done wrong and kept asking. I would like to say I never went back but I calmed down and a few weeks later went back and bought 100.00 worth of snow bibs and boots. Again poor service, rude employees, and of course Julie yelling at someone's child for touching the Facebook sign. Don't bring your children in here it is not kid friendly. read more

Loooove this store. Been here a couple times and they make it super easy to sell your items. You log in on an iPad and load your stuff in a bin, they label it for you and can text you when they are done. Then you just bring your part of the receipt to the register and they give you the offer. read more

Below is my last review before I tried to sell my items. I did give them a 4 star but now it's down to a 2! I had half a basket full of 3 month clothes. Pjs, dresses, onesies, pants, and three bathing suite. After I signed in I went to look around. It took a half hour for them to literally pick the five items the wanted! Only five and offered me $5.60. I was really surprised everything was like new and a bunch of onesies have never been wore my baby girl grew so fast! Everything was name brand! I knew I wouldn't get much money here but I really just didn't want to have the clutter. Any money I did make was going right back into the store! Needless to say I will not sell here again. Will stick with Facebook groups! Also, they had a bunch of flip flops all different sizes from the children's place brand new! Selling for 3.50. I just bought the same ones from children's place for 99 cents on sale. As a buyer I give this place a 4 star. I just moved to the area and have purchased quite a bit from here. If you don't mind searching through everything you can really make out here. The bigger items are a little over priced for second hand but I only come here for the clothes and shoes! Which I never spend more than 7$ on. Negative is the space! Everything is really close together and hard to get around. I plan on taking some stuff in this week to sell so I will write a review on how that goes. Hopefully it's a good experience because I have seen quite a few bad one on here about selling. read more

I come to the store because of the convenient location close to my home and typically I find one or two items to purchase however, there is a complete lack of customer service in this location from the beginning. Every time I go in there I experience the same thing and wonder why I keep coming back. Today there was four women sorting clothes,however there were 4 customers in line to purchase their items. I had to wait 10 minutes. The floor manager micro managed her employees while completely ignoring the other 3 customers in line for the register. The fact that NO one has the common sense to look over and think that maybe they should take a two-minute break from folding clothes to assist a paying customer is a result of a lack of a general concern for customer service by the owner. I think I'll just make the drive to Kid to Kid on Greenfield and Baseline and instead from now on. read more

I really thought that all of the bad reviews were from pissed off parents who brought in crappy and worn items and were shocked when most of their stuff wasn't accepted. I thought that for sure my experience when selling would be different but it was not. I came in and brought in tons of brand new with tags clothing from Baby Gap, Gymboree etc & a few maternity clothes and a brand new breastfeeding pillow. I didn't expect to get much or anything for maternity clothes since it's more related to children's clothing. They looked through my items and actually took almost all of them but here's the real kicker. I was offered $49 for 59 items. One of those items was a breastfeeding pillow and $40 brand new. So if you take that and say they maybe gave me $6 for that, that leaves you with $43. $43 for 58 other items with about 90% brand new with tags from expensive stores. That is about 75 cents an item. Are you freaking kidding me? Of course I don't expect to get a lot but when a ton of the clothes were unused, very in fashion for baby clothes and all had tags or were unworn it's beyond frustrating. I also understand they have to make a profit and take the risk but less than 75 cents for an item I know will be on the shelf for $9-10 in a few days, that is what makes me mad. Needless to say I will not be selling here again. For $49 I'd rather give away items to a mom in need. read more

Everyone here is so rude, especially the owner! Customer service is lacking!! I have come back several times hoping for a change but I officially will no longer return. Their new policy is ridiculous. 1 bin per customer. They also send out emails and post how they need certain items and then don't buy said items when you arrive. If you're "in need" of shoes and I bring you 10-15 pairs of name brand, VERY good condition shoes and you buy 2 pair....you obviously need nothing. The last time I was here my kids were playing with some of the toys in the back while we were waiting for our items to be reviewed and the owner walked by took a toy out of my sons hand and said let's put this back we don't want it to get ruined, and walked off. It was a car and he was rolling it on the floor gently. You run a children's store...expect children to be present in your store...maybe you're in the wrong line of business? I went in to look at purchasing some maternity wear. The first thing that hit me was how crowded it was and the lack of parental control for children. It was insane. I found some pants I wanted to try on, but I didn't see any dressing rooms and there was no staff around to help or ask questions to. The price was only $4 so I just bought them anyway. Once at the cash register, there were 3-4 people in front of me and approx. 4-5 staff members behind the counter. Only 2 lanes were open and the lane I was in, the girl kept trying to close her register, but then would look at us and say "only one more" and do another transaction. I only bought a pair of pants and it was a great price and it looked like they had a great selection of children's clothes. Each time I go into this location I get more disappointed. Today I brought in uniforms an assortment of clothes, brand new story books, 3 imaginex sets and a tag reading system with 2 tag books. I asked if they buy imaginex sets the Gal said yes. But the girl sorting through my items said it was too much to look at, and didn't buy any of it. She picked 3 books (not the tag) a batman shirt and 1 pair of uniform pants for $5.00... I asked a different gal checking me out what the criteria was. She said that it depends on their current stock - makes sense BUT that it depends on the person that is sorting through the items, their opinion and the time they have been employees there. I will never be returning to this store again. After the abundance of stuff I brought in yesterday they said I had to return it all washed , ironed and laid flat out in a box for them to buy them. So I stayed up til ten washing and ironing all the clothes , laying them flat out and then driving 15 miles to the store to then wait an hour and fourth minutes for them to offer me $3 for 5 shirts. Disgusted at the treatment received today. Angie who was helping me had a poor attitude from start. The custom service at this location BLOWS MY MIND! I had come in the day before to buy some clothes and shoes for my grand daughter. When I got the shoes home they didn't fit. So I went to get store credit to get two new pairs that were her correct size however my grand daughter had removed the tags. Angie said it is their policy is that the stickers must be on the shoes. I said okay I will go home dig through the trash and bring the shoes back with the sticker on them. I let her know it was the diaper trash I'd be going through. Well now the shoes can not be returned as I can not bring back shoes with diaper trash on them. The shoes were 13$ for both pairs, are we REALLY doing this right now ????? Yes we are! I asked to speak to the manger when the little girl no older than maybe 22 years old turns around and contained to allow Angie to speak to me in a poor manor. When I asked the manger Sarah WHY would she stand there and let an employee speak to a customer that way... her response "Well you're talking her the same way". I told her well action get reaction! I get my store credit on the pants not the shoes I go to check out and when I asked the girl helping me what is the managers name the manger comes from the side and says "my name is Sarah, and the girl helping you is Angie who's in the back on the phone talking to the owner right now" WOW CYA much? I guess the "customer is always right" is no longer the case and when the employee belittles you as a customer you are just suppose to smile and leave? I will not be coming back to this location. And if the owner is a smart business individual she'd call a mandatory customer service meeting. But who she/he's hired already speaks volumes to represent who they are as a person and a company. read more

I can get over how they never accept even brand new items and are incredibly nit picky. I can get over how you're offered pennies when they do accept something. But what I can't get over is the TERRIBLE customer service. It's baaaad. No one greets you. There is no adequate queue system and when it's time to check out, no one even glances your way. I usually go here (never to sell, I've given up on that) to pick up last minute pieces and the service is the same every time I go. Employees seem to be very unhappy and I'm shocked that it's always like this. They'll chat amongst themselves but do a poor job at greeting customers. A fellow shopper and I once waited for almost 5 minutes for someone to tend to us. She and I were both cracking up at how horrible they were. I finally said, "Hi...customers here. Can you check us out please?" Four employees looked at each other all irritable and finally checked us out.
