The bakery was shinny and new with a few comfy sectionals surrounding a table, perfect for a family. Coffee, a case fill of other drink items and beautiful cakes tho look at get your hunger juices flowing. The good news is you don't have to buy a whole cake - you can opt for just one slice, but I bet you will be taking a whole one home. I came by two Friday's in a row only to be let down by being told they were sold out of the Raspberry butter cream cake by the slice. I may or may not have cried in my car. The young woman working the register offered to ask in the back when more raspberry cake would be made and they said next week. I'll be back but if I drive all the way there again this week and they are out I may be boycotting my favorite business for a while. I just can't handle the letdown. I did not leave empty handed. Two weeks ago I got the salted caramel which was good but I didn't really care for the filing and last Friday I got a slice of the birthday cake and a raspberry filled glazed croissant. The birthday cake flavor was just too basic and the glazed croissant had too much filling. Honestly, I think I would be disappointed by anything except my usual. read more

I had a custom cake made here for a surprise 60th birthday party and it turned out amazing!!!. The flavor was great. It looked better than I was expecting and most importantly the customer service was the best. I worked with Georgia via email because I do not live in the state and she made sure she got every detail right without any mistakes! When I picked up the cake it was open, because it was a two tier cake. My only suggestion would be once we finish viewing the cake to plastic wrap the opening as not to get bugs or dust on the cake while transporting it to its destination. I was worried about the elements or car dust getting on my cake so I just bought some cling wrap and set out to surf city. Other than that everything was PERFECT and I would definitely recommend One Belle to anyone who needs a cake or just wants to stop by for some dessert! We absolutely loved our cake and aside from a couple minor issues we would definitely recommend this vendor. I was deployed and had constant contact with Georgia, the manager the whole time. I was able to make payments via email to help alleviate the cost of the wedding. I will say my husband was extremely disappointed because in the movies you see people having a taste of a whole cake slice, which is not the case here. But the cake flavors are delicious and they are very creative with their designs. The cake was delivered on time. Our only complaint is that apparently cake stands are a very expensive commodity. we were told the week of that it would have to be returned but our wedding was being held over memorial day weekend and we were flying immediately out for a honeymoon. And almost all of our guest had flown in or drove in for the weekend. Luckily Georgia was very flexible in allowing us to mail it back upon our return especially after she learned our venue had lost one of my wedding dresses. But even now it's still an issue because we are trying to find out where the stand got delivered to. Overall, we highly recommend this vendor for any cake need. We recently moved to Wilmington and were delighted to find a real bakery nearby. I have not seen a true bakery in years! Our first visit resulted in us leaving with an assortment of doughnuts, cookies, and eclairs, as we had company visiting that weekend. We also each chose a slice of cake to eat before we got home. (Yes, we ate them in the car) The goods there are entirely too tempting and I will say our guests quickly gobbled all we had purchased. We've been back several times since and even had a birthday cake made there. Obviously we are "sold" on this place and highly recommend! Just tried out their new addition of a bakery and it was just fantastic. We got an assortment of items from a cinnamon roll donut to Oreo cheesecake to raspberry filled croissant and they were all amazing, even the next day. Wow!! Wow!! Wow!! That simply is not enough to adequately rave about the beautiful decorated cookies that OBB made as favors for my daughters bridal shower. The cookies were in the shape of bridal dresses and all decorated in different patterns to replicate an elegant wedding dress. They were all perfect and were the hit of the shower. These turned out far better than I could have anticipated and we are so very happy to have used the bakery for her very special day. And the extra surprise is that they really tasted fabulous. I recently had my first experience with One Belle Bakery and it was wonderful. The donuts were fluffy and flavorful, the cake was the perfect texture and the mint chocolate chip cupcake was to die for. I'm a sugar addict with high expectations and am very impressed by the quality and creativity of their sweets. I do wish it was a bit less expensive, but I appreciate that they are local, donate all unsold items to hospice and also recently raised money for hurricane victims, so the few extra dollars are well spent here. I contacted One Belle Bakery on the recommendation provided by our Beam Room contact, Ellie, which is the venue we had reserved for our son's rehearsal dinner. Our son is "known" for his "Mountain Dew addiction." So I contacted One Belle, inquiring if they'd be able to accommodate our special request for customized cupcakes...Mountain Dew flavored, of course! Well, they said they could and did they! Great find in the Port City! I needed a custom made cake for a farewell luncheon and, living out of state, I depended on Yelp reviewers to guide me to a quality bakery. One Belle is fantastic! I emailed my initial order, Georgia, the manager, contacted me the next day and after a brief chat - I was all set. The pricing was reasonable considering I wanted a custom design and everything was ready for pickup as scheduled. The bakery is very quaint and the service was prompt and the cashier was very friendly. Most importantly, the cake was decorated perfectly and it tasted great!!! I'm not a fan of specialty cakes but this one tasted as good as it looked. Overall a five-star experience.
