Very disappointed with the food. For this price range, I was definitely expecting a much better experience. The $25 charcuterie board was a joke--you only get two types of salami, neither of which were very good, and three types of cheese that none of us enjoyed. The service was nice, but it wasn't very attentive. Our entrées took around 40 minutes to arrive, and when they finally did, there was nothing memorable or impressive about them. The cocktails were also underwhelming and didn't live up to the expectations set by the menu and pricing. Overall, I don't see any reason to come back or recommend this place to my friends. For an average of about $100 per person for a relatively light dinner, this experience is simply not acceptable. The food and the overall dining experience need to be significantly better to justify the prices on the menu. read more

I was excited to visit for the first time. Our reservation was for the lounge, but we were seated at a table by the window. The restaurant is pretty. They kept the layout the same as it was when it was the Italian restaurant before. The beautiful green tile at the hostess stand is gone, as are the gorgeous pendant lights and chandeliers. We were told that the French onion soup was award-winning, and the chef beat Bobby Flay making it. Of course, I had to try. It was flavorful and top with the nutty sweetness of Gruyere. I don't usually order or eat French onion soup, so I can't rate if it was the best or top tier. The chef did come around and greet everyone, asking how they enjoyed their meal. This was a nice touch. The crab vol vent was lump crab in a puff pastry with hollandaise and a poached egg on top. The pastry was buttery and flaky, and the crab and sauce were tasty. At this year's Taste of Alpharetta, I was introduced to a new French bistro in downtown Alpharetta, A Day In Paris. I had the afternoon free after an appointment the other day so I decided to stop in for a lil brunch treat!  I got there early, just before they opened for lunch, so there was time to admire the interior as well as the beautiful desserts and pastries in the case.  I fought HARD not to get anything!  It all looked SO GOOD! *Side note: I DID get to enjoy one of their desserts at The Taste... a lovely layered delight, of which I forgot the name of, but it was wonderful! (pic included) Of course, I'm not going to get the "regular" menu item; I'm going to try something I'd not have at home.  I chose the Crab Vol-Au-Vent: a pastry shell filled with crab, king trumpet mushrooms, poached egg, and hollandaise with a brown sugar and cinnamon latte. Je me suis régalé! As an extra treat, I had a front row seat to watch a promo video being filmed AND I got to have a little chat with the lovely Sous Chef! One Day in Paris is open every day except Monday, and serves brunch on the weekend!  Seating is in the café for coffee and bakery items... First visit here In downtown Alpharetta, it was a beautiful space located in downtown Alpharetta! Lovely aesthetic. Out server was new and didn't share any of the specialty features of the lounge, coffee and pastries. She was very nice but didn't romance the feel for someone's first time. The food was ok. I had the French toast which was ok. Only 1 piece and no sides. I opted for a hazelnut cappuccino which was very nice. The star of the day was meeting Executive Chef Remi Granger and getting a photo with him. This is a very popular spot and hope to come back and participate with the Jett Sett Pilates too read more

My mom is a huge fan of French cuisine, so I was ecstatic to see a brand new beautiful restaurant pop-up just in time for our belated Mother's Day celebration. The designers did a wonderful job as stepping into the building you are transported into a chic and cozy bistro. The bar especially is a stand out with a beautiful floral arrangement front and center. We sampled a few of the lunch, menu items, including the veggie quiche, the traditional Lorraine quiche, and the croque madam. The quiches both thoroughly creamy and had great flavor. The quiche crust is beautifully layered and adds a great buttery crunch. I did not personally try the croque madam, but my family could not stop singing the praises of their delicious sandwiches. There were a few ebbs and flows with service that can easily be chalked up to the newness of the restaurant, but Ebony handled everything beautifully with a smile and happily fixed an issue that we had. On the cafe side, Lina helped us pick out some great pastries which were also to die for. The peach tart is my favorite, which unsurprisingly won the best dessert during taste of Alpharetta. One day in Paris has true potential to be a neighborhood staple as it offers so much versatility, originality, and flavor. read more

I love the location, beautiful decor, and pet friendly patio at One Day in Paris! I also love that they offer a gluten free pastry option. I have been twice and had the veggie quiche both times. The first time it was absolute perfection so when I ordered it the second time I was surprised that it seemed totally different and super loose and gooey in the middle. I'll probably try it a third time in hopes of getting a good one again because that first time was so good. The pastries are beautiful. The coffee was fine. Staff was friendly. We are back again at One Day in Paris and as always, it never disappoints. This time around I ordered the Chef Remi's Parisian Pillows, chive gnocchi, fois gras, truffle sauce and toasted hazelnuts. It is so delicious you don't want it to end. My only "complaint" is, it is under the Sharables section of the menu, and I DO NOT intend to share any of it!! My hubby had the French Onion Soup again! It is a must to have it as often as possible. We will definitely continue to go to this wonderful restaurant and also visit with the super friendly staff. Was the food good? We don't know. Was the atmosphere inviting. Also, we don't know. But the staff was not... On Saturday evening, after passing by, we looked up their website to make a plan for Sunday afternoon. The hours listed were 8-4, so we arrived a little before 3 to have plenty of time. And we were told they had just closed. I mentioned the times from the website, and was told they had brunch today. Brunch hours were listed to 2:30, but it definitely says open 8-4. The lack of apology or even a sense that they might care was particularly annoying. PS: should this happen to you, Minnie Olivia Pizzeria across the street was friendly and accommodating. And the Costolette pizza with braised short rib and garlic white sauce was amazing. The sangria is tasty, too. And everything is less expensive than a miserable day in Paris... -3/10 read more

Went on a date night to try One Day in Paris and it was a wonderful experience! The ambience is casual but refined, the staff was friendly, accommodating and knew the menu well. We had the bread service, gnocchi starter, the local greens and the scallop entree. The gnocchi is incredible and already excited to have that dish again! My husband loved his scallops and the bread service is made fresh in house everyday. I highly recommend giving this place a shot and am already thinking this place will become a staple in our rotation. There are so many good options on the menu I want to try! read more

We tried the new One Day in Paris in Alpharetta and will definitely be back. The food is flat out exceptional. From bistro classics, adapted items like the Duck Confit's call to a cassoulet to interpretive dishes like Escargot & The Forest the culinary team absolutely shines. The space is beautiful, welcoming and warm without being overly loud or disturbing. Service and lunch was great. Place is beautiful. I was disappointed, however, with the 2 pastries I bought.

the good: pleasant, helpful server. the bad: no decaf coffee options AT ALL. No iced tea either. No syrup for french toast. Over 40 minutes wait for our entrees. The laughable: For a $14 french toast, you receive ONE slice of bread. ONE slice that is an average slice from a loaf of bread. No mention of local bakery to possibly justify price. Drinks are light on the pour for over $15 a cocktail. Our brunch here was a change of pace from TBB 122, and I will happily go back to there for true artisan bread and pastries as well as reasonably priced entrees for their size. This place is style over substance. Pass. read more

Should have shared this with the kind Chef RemI Granger when he came to visit our table last evening. Menu is lovely, food was very good, but service really needs work. We were consistently asked what can I get "you guys". Our appetizers were served with/after our entrees, and when asking about his appetizer, which was served after his entree, my husband was told my the server "I can only carry so much". Also we were there for a birthday celebration and the birthday was acknowledged at check-in, but not during the dessert service. The service made the experience very disappointing. read more

Ambience very open and airy for Saturday brunch after visiting the Farmers Market. Excellent service from Deanna, who was on her 1st day with the restaurant. Lots of great options of food which served in authentic Parisian fashion (salad was particularly good). Ingredients all very fresh. Only criticism was that the crab vol-au-vent was very light on crab and the poached egg came with too much water from the pan. We were looking forward to our first dining experience at the new "refined" restaurant in Alpharetta. I'll begin with the positive: the asparagus appetizer is delicious and beef tartar has good flavor. And for the rest: We ordered the scallops (with fish) entree and the confit duck entree. Scallops were bland with minimal seasoning and the fish was rubbery and inedible. The skin on the duck had been drenched in orange sauce and was very soggy. (You can get much better scallops at Rena's and significantly better duck at Citizen Soul). We had reservations for an early dinner and the restaurant was relatively empty. We waited 15 minutes for a server to greet us and offer water. Service seemed extremely disorganized. Espresso martinis ran $26, which is about $8 higher than most restaurants in Alpharetta. Wine list is limited. We paid the same amount for our meal as we typically spend at Bask, which is an excellent restaurant with great service. This experience was far from the experience you would expect from a restaurant at this price range. read more

C'était formidable! We absolutely have loved our coffee and brunch experiences here and can't wait to come back for dinner! The owners are French and take great care in everything - the food, staff, and atmosphere. The Croque Monssieur is our go to - simply the best. The lattes are outstanding - esp with the rich sweet cream cold foam that evidently the pastry chef prepares. Lina and Gwen make them perfectly every time and are always warm and welcoming. So is Alex and the rest of the staff we have met. It's so refreshing to find a group of people that are restaurant that clearly is striving to create amazing experiences all the way around. read more
