Brisket had a lot of grizzle on it but was good when removed and with bbq sauce. The Cobb salad was tasty w balsamic dressing. My bf had wings... Ranchenero and Devil. The Ranchenero had a decent flavor, super spicy. The devil wasn't edible. I laughed so hard when my bf ate it. He couldn't finish past one bite. But honestly, in my opinion, the flavor isn't good. After a good 10 minutes I just got the menus from the counter myself and sat down. The other couple that was there with us did the same. It was rock hard This place sucks really bad could not put a fork in the ribs. Drinks were not as strong as it should be !! Ordered pickup food tonight from this restaurant. Wasn't a good idea......Very unimpressed!!! Pickup time was scheduled at 25 minutes and food not ready for an additional 15 minutes. Three young girls at the pickup desk were very unorganized (to say the least). When I got home with the food , it was missing the cornbread which we were assured was included in the order. I had picked up a business card at the order desk for the Genera Mgr (Jenn Jackson). When I tried to call the tel number on her business card (843-815-6262), all I got was advertisement with no way to connect with a real person. Food was just OK with very small side orders. Our go-to spot for barbecue! The ribs are among the best ever. Seasoned to perfection and falling off the bone but, not overdone....just right. They are so tasty on their own that extra sauce isn't even needed. The smoked wings are also stellar. Big and meaty and surprisingly the leftovers are still great, so it pays to order extras. When ordering sides don't skip the mac and cheese or baked beans laced with pulled pork. Both are wow dishes. We've seen chef Orchid Paulmeier almost every time we've dined here. A few years ago we watched her compete on Food Network Star. She's truly a local legend and deservedly so. The only dish I wish could be improved on is the brisket. My wife and I arrived on a Tuesday around 6 pm and there was already a 35 minute wait. They have great happy hour specials at the bar, but unfortunately their beer draft system was down. I had a Westbrook IPA while my wife had their Mamarita Margarita. While I never visited the Hilton Head location, I was fortunate enough to have Mama's BBQ when she ran the 19th hole at Crescent Pointe. This was much better with a great location near the movie theater. This was the old Hinchey's Chicago Bar & Grille location. They changed the interior and also have plenty of outdoor tables, although I didn't see anyone eating outside. We were seated in 30 minutes and served by Mike who is the owner's husband. He did a great job keeping drinks and food coming. My wife wanted to try the Impossible Burger for the first time. I decided on the Ribs plus one combo. I had the baby backs along with pulled pork. I was impressed with the pulled pork being so moist and flavorful. I was a bit suspicious of the ribs since I didn't see a smoke ring. They may not have been smoked, or possibly done hot and fast. They were very meaty and tender with a crusty char outside. The French Fries which came with my meal were outstanding. Probably the best I'd had. Not sure how they do it, but they were very savory even without condiments. The cole slaw was also excellent. My wife liked the Impossible Burger stating it tastes exactly like a regular hamburger. They did charge $.99 to add cheddar cheese. We were very impressed. I don't believe they take reservations yet. Their wait staff is very efficient and helpful. They also market T Shirts, coozies and sauces with their logo. Happy Hour is at the bar area only from 5-7. with all the TV's they have around the entire restaurant, we'll probably be coming back for the football games. read more

Unfortunately, this BBQ is just not good. The beef brisket was not good enough to even finish. Too much added grease to keep the brisket moist. Bark of the brisket was soggy, which is an indication of improper storage, leftover meat (meaning not coming off the smoker anytime recently), or just simply not cooked right. Zero smoke flavor in the meat, which of course is why they push putting heaps of BBQ sauce on your meat. Sorry to say, I'll never recommend it, nor come back while in Bluffton. I'll not be visiting the Hilton head location either if this is any indication of how the cook employs smoking tactics. No authentic BBQ found here folks. read more

Rediscovered OHM when cruising around town one Sunday afternoon and as luck would have it, it's even better than I remember from the previous location at Sheridan Park! Best BBQ we've had in Bluffton. A bit on the pricey side but if you're after good BBQ, this is the place. The ribs fall off the bone and my husband's brisket plate served up generous portions to his liking. The sauce that the waiter leaves on your table when delivering the food is the one to use! It was warm, and the perfect blend of sweet and spicy (I'm not a spicy person). And the sweet cornbread is good enough to save for dessert, but don't; just order more! Highly recommend. read more
