    bloody mary

Had lunch, dinner and breakfast there over the course of our stay. Excellent small, casual, indoor-outdoor bar with partially covered patio. Idyllic golf course views. Attentive, pleasant, helpful service from Josh at lunch, Esteban at dinner and Vanessa at breakfast. Could not have been better. Very VERY good Country Club food with pretty presentation. LUNCH: Delicious bloody mary. Perfectly cooked, juicy half pound cheeseburger, with fabulous beer battered french fries. Best fries ever! Perfectly grilled Hot Dog with various accompaniments DINNER: Hot from the oven baguette, crusty on the outside and soft on the inside - perfection! Tuna Tartare tacos and Beau Soleil oysters on the half shell. Their version of steak tartare was covered with cheese and bland (I love traditional steak tartare. This version was not to my liking) Excellent squash blossom tempura and Zucchini tempura - light, flavorful, delicious enough I could have had them as an entree all on their own! DESSERT: Strawberry gaspacho - room temperature. I would have adored this had it been a granita. Mini pavlova - rock hard pavlova did not have the delicate outside I am used to and the berry sauce was overly sweet to my taste BREAKFAST: Fresh squeezed orange juice was meh. (Maybe April isn't the season for juice oranges.) Huevos Rancheros were excellent. Perfectly cooked eggs. Avocado toast with perfectly cooked eggs was also excellent and flavorful. Highly recommend. Great combination of crunch and softness. Pancakes were light and fluffy, could not have been better! Special coffee drink with whipped cream was delicious. Reasonably priced and worth every penny. A nice treat to dine there while you are staying at Cordevalle. * When I was there, the online menus had not been updated yet. This should be done whenever there is a menu change*

We had the most enjoyable experience here. It was the launch of their new dinner menu and everything was delicious. I had the Wagyu short rib with red cabbage and polenta. Amazing! Service by Lars and his team was impeccable. Never a delay in course's and very professional service staff. It's always difficult to launch a new menu, but they really pulled it off with style and grace. We can't wait to return!

This is the bar/grill at Cordevalle. You can only eat here if you're a guest or member at the property. It's a great casual dining alternative to the more formal Il Vingeto restaurant that's also here. I had the filet mignon with potato wedges and my husband got the Kobe Beef burger with garlic fries. Both entrees were amazing. There is a note on the menu that all the beef is natural and it names the farm it comes from. There is also a full bar, so you can get any cocktail you'd like. My husband got the Lagunitas IPA on tap and I got a whiskey with ginger ale. Their ginger ale is house made. If you're staying at Cordevalle, eat here, it's really great!

4 Stars First, I want to say when I splurge for things, I'm expecting the highest of quality. Given One Iron Bar is located within the exclusive Golf/Resort that is Cordevalle, my expectations were on the highest of levels. That being said, I can't help but feel a bit let down. I had an early dinner alone on a recent Saturday night with the anticipation of a delicious steak meal. For some, dropping $50 a person per meal is no biggy. I'm not one of those people. I started with a bar ginger ale, which was an interesting concoction of coke, sprite and ginger ale(I believe is how the waitress sold it). I was also given complementary chili lime house chips and the bombest salted/peppered popcorn I've ever had. I did not realize their flavours change daily as I requested some popcorn the next day for the road home and was surprised by the strong aroma of cinnamon reaching up to tickle my nostrils. But back to the meal. I had the 9oz Filet Mignon(medium rare) with mushrooms and whipped potatoes. I loved the modge podge of non-traditional mushrooms and the potatoes were delicious. My steak ended up coming out more medium than medium rare and once the pool of sauce had been dipped up, I was still left with a chunk of dry and flavour lacking meat. Considering I was paying $4+ per ounce, I was quite a bit dissapointed. The wait staff, however, was incredibly helpful and attentive and the views of the golf course and rolling hills were fantastic.

Lovely complementary scones and muffin with homemade jams.

Breakfasts here are great. You start with freshly baked muffins and 3 jams/jellies of unusual flavors made here. However, I most look forward to the complimentary popcorn and homemade potato chips. Some magic powder dusted on the popcorn makes it addicting, and for someone who is a chip fiend, you can't beat thick, fresh chips!

Cool spot for food, romantic resort and golf.

I stopped in…read moreand after reading up on reviews and it seemed like I couldn't go wrong with anything I would decide to try. All ordering is done on an iPad here and I ended up going with the Beef and Lamb combo plate with half salad and half rice. I chose the Baba Ganoush as the side to go with the Pita bread. When I had read that the Baba Ganoush was especially good here, I have to agree. It had that distinct smokey taste from the charred eggplant blended with tahini. Let's get started with the Pita bread. Oh how I loved this Pita served up warm, soft, and fresh. Was this the best Pita I've ever tried? Did I just say that? Yes. Dipped into the Baba Ganoush, I knew that this alone was hitting the spot. The beef and lamb was solid-- tender, juicy, thinly sliced and nicely seasoned. The salad with olives was exactly what I expect from a good Mediterranean salad- light and big on the olive taste. The rice was fluffy and seasoned well. Everything about this combo plate was done well and I'm definitely coming back here the next time I'm in Gilroy.

One of the best Mediterranean restaurants in south county!…read more The food at Olives is delicious- especially the kofta and the beef/lamb gyro plates. Their baba ganoush is my personal favorite- I only wish they were a little more generous with the serving size! I also really appreciate that they offer smaller appetizers like lentil soup and samosas, which makes it easy to sample a few things or build a lighter meal. Everything is flavorful, well-seasoned, and made with care. When you walk in, you order and pay on a tablet, which is quick and convenient. They've messed up on my order once or twice, so it's worth double-checking your food, but it was never a big deal and definitely wouldn't stop me from returning. The restaurant setup is a bit unconventional: the seating consists of tables in the middle of a small market filled with imported goods. That being said, it's actually part of the charm and gives the place a cozy/casual vibe. Can't wait to come back!

There is also a pool table and few arcade games! The menu is extensive with plenty of traditional bar food options and some Irish staples. Everything sounded delicious, but I opted for the Pop"s Pub burger. I figured that would be a good starting point to get a feel of how good the food is. The burger was good, but not $21.00 good. The fries were tasty ,and I really enjoyed the side salad that came with it. The burger itself came with lettuce , tomato and a house sauce (thousand island blend). The burger was cooked perfectly , and tasted pretty good. However, when you add a $10.00 IPA to the equation and throw in a tip- I was out $41.00. I didn't like my meal enough to spend that kind of money. For a burger to be this pricey, I needed more. This place seems like a cool place to chill ,watch a game, and enjoy a cold beer. I may just do that next time and skip the meal. The service was poor. Once my food was dropped off , I never heard from the lady again to check on me until she dropped off the check.

I'd done my Yelp research and... What a find this place is! That score is good but it deserves to be higher. Westside Grill ticked all the boxes. - Let's start with service; waitperson Celeste was that rare combo of super friendly and knowledgeable/professional. Also I think she'd make a great daughter in law. Probably not PC to say that... - Food was delicious! On a busy night, each dish still earned rave reviews. Standouts were the house salad (SO fresh and perfect combination of ingredients) , the lobster bisque (spot on with just the right level of mild sweetness and savory) and the crab salad sandwich. Oh, and the prime rib. And the fresh pasta. Even the fries were kind of crispy-creative! And don't even get me started on the caramely dessert beignets. In this age where restaurants are still struggling, this one is busy busy busy for a reason. Someone (owners?) did their homework. We now have a favorite family meeting venue! Nicely done, WG.
