My friend hosted her 30th birthday (part 1) here at One Shot Pocha and we had a great time. We had around 15-20 people so we reserved a larger room (ended up in room 9) which is way in the back. The front area is so cute, I love how there's almost cubicle spaces for privacy in the main dining areas. The soju bottles are so cute as decor and the bar area is really nice. The staff was very friendly and managed our large party (and many many food and drink orders) exceptionally well. Alll the food was amazing; please note that some of the food is pre-made so if you have dietary concerns, you should communicate early and often about any ingredients in any of the dishes. The karaoke part was also super fun! It was my first time so I didn't know what to expect but we had a blast. Would highly recommend coming here for karaoke, food and drinks or just a cute fun night out!

Came here to karaoke for our Friendsgiving. We've heard a lot of great things so we were excited to finally check it out. We booked a room for eight people, and since it was a Friday night, the whole place was packed and super lively. There's tons of K-pop decor and fun lighting, so even if you weren't in the mood to party before walking in, you definitely will be once you're inside. The room we got was just the right size for 8 people and all our drinks and food - the music was bumpin and the disco light definitely added to the fun mood. Ordering food and drinks was easy with the push-button service, and the staff were always prompt and friendly. Everything we had -- chicken wings, tteokbokki, galbi, and even the banchan -- was delicious. It was so good we joked that we'd come back just to eat. The only con was that the room got a bit warm with eight people. Even with the fan, I started sweating... although I'm sure the soju and overly animated singing didn't help.

If you're craving late-night Korean food on any day except Tuesdays (they're only closed on Tuesdays), One Shot Pocha is the perfect restaurant to dine at! Their menu is packed with a variety of classic Korean dishes perfect for a chill meal, tipsy karaoke get-togethers, or after a night out. After a long day, I decided to treat myself to my preferred KFC (Korean fried chicken) and tteok-beokki. Since it was just me dining, I got 5 wings with the soy garlic sauce. So crunchy!! The wings paired perfectly with the banchan side dishes and tteok-beokki. The tteok-beokki is a really good size especially if you come with a party of 3-4 people. I ended up having a lot to take home! Along with serving yummy, large portions of Korean food, One Shot Pocha has karaoke rooms too! I've only ever dined here but I love getting to hear the karaoke singers as the doors to the private rooms open and close. Lastly, I like the use of buttons when you're ready to order, if you need a waiter, or when you're ready for the check. Super efficient.

I've been to Korea, this was literally soooo close to the flavors I had over there. I had the corn cheese, soy garlic wings, and the ramen. The banchan was very good and one of the better kimchis I've had, and the corn cheese and ramen were solid. It's more family style so I would recommend coming here in a pair of 2 or with a party. But the soy garlic wings?! They were delicious. The texture, the flavor, everything about it was so good. I highly recommend them! The ambiance was really cool and it was just as if you walked right into a bar in Korea. The service is chill and it's on demand with a call button, but I felt kind of bad as the waitress we had didn't seem like she wanted to be bothered. We tried to limit the amount of times we called her just cause we didn't wanna bother her... but when you need something you need something, ya know? I would highly recommend coming here if you want a late night delicious meal!

Never judge a book by its cover! I say this because the plaza looks quite unassuming. But once you walk in, One Shot Pocha's upbeat and lively atmosphere is the first thing you'll notice. The place was packed! There were already plenty of people dining when I arrived (and even more by the time I left). It is quite spacious inside, with lots of tables. I didn't get the chance to look, but I believe there's an outdoor patio as well. The interior is nicely decorated, with soju cap bottles on the partitions, and cute LED signs hung throughout the restaurant. My friend and I ordered the corn cheese, kimchi bulgogi fries, tteokbokki, and half chicken tossed in Korean sweet and spicy sauce. I was impressed by the generous portion sizes. The corn cheese was solid! You can't go wrong with it. The kimchi bulgogi fries were tasty and came with A LOT of fries. The tteokbokki was okay. I found it a little bland and too sweet for my taste. The fried chicken, though, was my favorite! It was crispy on the outside and juicy on the inside. The sauce was savory and sweet and not too spicy. Excellent service! The food came out quickly, and ordering and paying was a breeze. Each table has a bell you can press if you need anything. Overall, I highly recommend this place! Great food, great music, outstanding service, and a fun atmosphere to hang out with friends or family.

What an amazing birthday I celebrated at One Shot Pocha. Everything was smooth from the minute I made the reservation, to the minute we arrived and was happily surprised about our room, to the last minute we were there. It was such a great experience and I wish I would've came back here again instead of trying another karaoke place which was a horrendous experience. Thank you One Shot Pocha for leading the way in the business! First, love the fact that the rooms are spacious and there's plenty. Second, love the fact that there's a button to call your server whenever you need anything. Third, love it all. Food was great, atmosphere was awesome and it was total great vibes from everyone including the host, bartender, servers and other patrons inside!

Been here a few times for food and group hangouts. The menu has all the usual Korean staples.. And I've tried a bit of everything from the appetizers like chicken wings, seafood pancake, to the army stew and meats like bulgogi and short ribs. It's decent overall, nothing food wise that really stands out and comparable to some of the other spots along Long Point. What you are paying for is the Pocha experience.. Good atmosphere during the weekend, TVs playing Kpop videos and very lively ambiance overall.. The karaoke rooms are often busy with a queue. The watermelon soju is a crowd favorite and we've gone through beers to sojus to cocktails here..again sold options but to me still overpriced/overhyped if we are rating strictly on food. Service is very efficient ordering/pay via tablets. The parking lot can be packed so often may end up parking across the street or next door. Overall, they do a great job capturing the authentic pocha vibe.. It's fun, social, and energetic. A popular spot for the younger crowds, and while I personally still prefer a regular sit-down Korean experience, this place is perfect if you're going for the atmosphere and karaoke.

I love karaoke. And I love great food. This venue allowed me to combine these interests. The service was so friendly and prompt. The room was really spacious and comfy and could accommodate only it large group easily. The giant table in the middle really worked well to facilitate eating an actual new while also being able to sing and participate. I loved the tambourines and other small details. The food itself was spectacular! From the seafood pancakes, cheese corn and fries to the watermelon soju, everything was delicious. The karaoke itself was regular YouTube. So if you don't have YouTube premium, you will have to watch ads between songs. Really had a good time for a good price!

I went late Friday night with some friends to grab a bit and some drinks. The food was delicious and the experience was fun. It does have a loud ambiance due to the karaoke so it might be hard to hold a conversation. I would totally recommend the corn cheese and the korean chicken. The corn and cheese combination grilled perfectly pairs well and the chicken is extra crispy with delicious flavors. I like how there's a button on the tables you can press to call the servers. They don't bother you otherwise and you don't have to flag anyone down in the midst of all the busy-ness.

I have heard great things about this restaurant and I was super excited to try it. We had a party of 9 and we were able to get seated promptly on a Friday evening around 7:30 pm without a reservation. The ambiance is set up like a Korean bar with TVs playing k pop and soju paraphernalia all over. The table has a button that you click whenever you are ready to order and the staff promptly comes over shortly after. We ordered a lot of food, and I would say that overall things were pretty good. The chicken wings were outstanding with a super crunchy batter and excellent sauce. The wings came with fried rice cake which added a nice touch. The Kimchi Bulgogi fries were also yummy with perfectly crispy fries and decent amount of meat and kimchi. The spicy rice cake was very bland with very sparse amounts of rice cake. The seafood pancake was just okay, and it had bell peppers in it which is a little strange in my opinion. The rice cake and sausage skewer was quite appetizing and I really enjoyed the pairing. The Army stew was good but nothing was special or outstanding about the dish. The black bean noodles were flavorful and the noodles were not overcooked. The tonkatsu was the worst I have ever had. The meat was cut in the wrong direction and it was very hard to chew. The flavor was quite bland as well. The spicy chicken feet were very well seasoned and the texture was very satisfying. My diagnosis: Lots of variety but definitely come for the chicken wings. PSA: this place is not cheap and you should expect at least $30 per person for a decent size meal.

This place transports you to... a hipster bar in a romcom Kdrama! Tonssss of photo ops. Seating divided by grid wall panels adorned with soju bottle caps and mini Polaroids of cool customers/staff. Cute frogs and flashy neon signs are displayed throughout the place. There's a call button on each table... and personally, my favorite, the Squid Games drinking game with the creepy doll! I came here for dinner with some friends, and we had an amazing time! The Food: Seafood Pancakes- Crispy and they didn't skimp on the seafood. Corn Cheese- One of my fave ways to eat corn; Korean style with cheese over a sizzling hot plate! Soy Garlic 1/2 Chicken- I like the tiny rice cakes served with this. Soy garlic is a good flavor, but this chicken was a little more on the sweet side versus an umami profile from the soy sauce. There's a decent coating of batter on the chicken that makes it crispy. Japchae- Default protein is beef. The noodles were good. Overall, another "sweet" dish. The banchan sides weren't too impressive if I'm being honest. We didn't ask for any refills... Now, the great surprise- they had that Squid Games drinking game! You will need to give your ID/license to borrow it for your soju drinking pleasure! They also give you 2 FREE mini Polaroids, additional ones are $3/each. It was a wonderful night with great company, but this place made it extra memorable. Our server, Millie was awesome! Will return for more shenanigans, and soju! :)

Man, this place does not miss! I've stopped by here several times already and their fried chicken is fantastic. The interior has such a fun ambiance and captures the Korean nightlife well. For dinner we ordered Cold Buckwheat Noodles (Spicy) Marinated Grilled Ribs Wings (Soy Garlic and Korean Sweet and Spicy) Fried Dumplings (Chicken) All these options were great but as I mentioned earlier, their fried chicken is a must get! The exterior has that satisfying crunch that you can't get enough of. And the chicken is juicy and so flavorful from the sauce that they use. I also love how they throw in some fried rice cakes with the wings which have that chewy texture that's so addictive. As for the dumplings, at first I was neutral about getting them but they're juicy and perfectly fried. The banchan (side dishes) are all pretty solid too. Service was fast and friendly and I hope to bring a group of friends to do karaoke next time!

The vibes here are always amazing, the Korean pocha is reminiscent of a bar in Korea and the interior is friendly and intimate! What I love most about this place is that they have karaoke rooms surrounding the restaurant, so you can transfer the party to the karaoke rooms after you dine. Me and my party tried a couple dishes including the spicy pork belly, kimchi stew, and not pictured but the soy garlic wings. I'd say the pork belly was a solid 8/10, the meat was bouncy and marinade wasn't too salty nor spicy. The stew was a 5/10 in my books, I felt like it was too salty and could use more stew to dilute the flavor. The soy garlic wings were 8/10, they were my favorite but it could've used more crisp. I'd say the drinks and food are on the pricier end, but the vibes are unmatched and the staff are all friendly. Overall, I'd recommend stopping by!

Ask the Community - One Shot Pocha

How many people can fit in a Karaoke room?

They have different sizes. Smallest can fit around ~4 to 6. I think their largest can fit ~16 comfortably. If more, it can get tight.

For the karaoke, can you connect through bluetooth, or is it that you have to choose just the songs they have available?

You connect to YouTube on 1 phone and select songs there

Is the karaoke a private room? also is it's 21+?

They have private karaoke rooms, not sure on age limit

    Can we make reservations online?

I don't believe so. It's walk in only. You can probably call ahead to ask how long the wait is though.

    What are the hours?

    Everyday 5pm-2am I believe!

A big part of the decades long success at Local Foods has been their commitment to consistency…read more Their casual setting with excellent service is one thing, but quality executed food that is simple and seasonal will always go a long way. Before their recent expansions to Austin, it all began here in Rice Village exactly 15 years ago. The vibes are contemporary and casual, with the kind of space that fits for just about any scenario. Whether it's a solo meal, a lunch date, or a group led affair, the experience is almost always an excellent one. Start by ordering at the counter and find a seat where the food will brought directly to the table. So much of their variety caters to all sorts of dietary restrictions from vegan to gluten free to nut free. Their spicy crispy brussels sprouts ($10) are a nice starter, as is the squash "onion" rings ($12). The local power bowl ($16) is a classic and I've always enjoyed the brown rice and quinoa combo. Their chicken "posolé" is solid, and I love the large hominy bits along with the clear but green tint of a broth. The chicken shawarma bowl ($20) is an interesting mix that includes pickled beets and strawberries, along with their market cheddar burger ($17) and fabulous twice cooked fries. The carrot cupcake is strangely addicting, and I think their gluten free brownie is a bit of a sleeper. Some of their items didn't jive with me previously, such as an underwhelming cashew queso ($9), a semi-laughable Vietnamese steak bowl ($22), and their semi-gringo version of a banh mi ($15). It's not that these items are bad per se, but they definitely don't live up to the same standard that I feel their other dishes do best. Where they hit the biggest home run is their customer service. Everyone working behind the counter does their best to deliver and they almost always do by staying on top of refills, cleanups, and customer greets. I've always enjoyed my experiences here and look forward to every visit.
