I bought a new set of tires from the Hillsboro American Tire in October 2023. Since then I've had…read moretwo leaky/flat tires. Both times Hillsboro American Tire took care of the problem tires. The second time, though, they really went above and beyond. The second flat tire was from sidewall damage, so the nearly new tire was shot. Unfortunately the Hillsboro store did not have the exact replacement in stock, they would have to ship it in from another location and it wouldn't be there until the next day. This is where the Hillsboro American Tire really stepped up. Not only did they order the new tire and set me up with an appointment for the next day to have it installed, they also loaned me a tire to use for a day until the new one arrived so I wouldn't have to drive around on quickly leaking tire. The next day when I arrived I only had to pay a small fee for the new tire (mileage prorate on the damaged tire reduced the sell price) AND they did not charge me for the multiple mount/balances of the loaner, and new tires. I've never received such amazing service like that from the other local big store (Les Schwab) and I've ran into problems with Costco not honoring their service warranty. I would recommend the Hillsboro American Tire to anyone!

If you have nice or undamaged rims, I suggest taking photos of your rims before getting new tires…read more Better yet, get tires from a place that doesn't have the highest employee turnover rate in the industry and trains their employees thoroughly. I learned this info after the fact and regret going to discount tire. Techs are encouraged to work fast and hard, turning highest volume as possible. This leads to carelessness and mistakes. The work areas have the wheel mounting hardware spread out everywhere on the ground. Very haphazard organization. The parking lot is littered with bits and pieces of hardware. I will go back to my previous tire shop because it is not worth sacrificing trying to save a little money.

I stopped back by to have them check it, and the manager immediately got very defensive and raised his voice at me that they already balanced them right and that I would have to pay to get them re-balanced. Well, any REPUTABLE shop would simply rebalance them but they refused without me having to pay again. I trusted them that it was done right, so I left, fairly intimidated by this manager. Well, I drove for a bit and it was still bothering me, so I had to pay ANOTHER shop to balance them, $84. Well guess what? ONE wheel was off by 1.75oz. I was in and out of that shop in 15 minutes but I wasted $84 and my time to fix what they should have done right the first time. AVOID this location, the managers ego may just cost you!

At first I thought they were not weighted properly. He weighted the tires and I was off. That did not help. They arrived in a day When I went back the next day it was a few minutes before closing and he stayed 45 minutes after shop to put those tires on himself. He was always communicative, prompt and friendly. He offered for us to come out to the showroom and see the windows and doors in person. I went with the Milgard Trinsic Windows and Doors. Second, the install team was excellent. Every day, they arrived on time and hit the ground running. Having a number of contractors for projects over the past 5 years, this team has been the best. I moved out of the house during the project, but I stopped by daily and everything was always cleaned up and in order. Third, I really appreciated the effort and thoroughness on the last day of cleaning the exterior and especially the interior of the house. The team takes great pride in their work and you can tell that is 100% employee owned. If I had to say there was a down side, its you may be in for a wait when placing your order because their work is in high demand (the first year quote, I would have had to wait 4-5 months). Finally, the windows and doors are beautiful. What a difference this made in regards to temperature, sound, and clarity. Not to mention, the ease at using the doors and the contemporary narrow frame modernized our home. We could not be happier.

This place is GREAT!!! You get the straight scoop on what your car needs, the work is done quickly and you get the lowest possible price. I put off getting my brakes done, and on Saturday, Sept. 12th, I just couldn't wait any longer. Didn't know where to go, but a friend referred me to One Time Auto Repair in Tigard, and boy, am I glad! Ameer, the mechanic and owner, quickly assessed my brakes. I knew they were bad, but they were much worse than I thought. As it turns out, I needed new brake rotors, brake pads, an oil change and a new air filter. Ameer also replaced a brake light bulb in a hard to reach assembly. Went in at 1 PM and my car was done very quickly. The price was very low compared to quotes from other places. Ameer is extremely courteous, very knowledgeable and very, very nice. He also knows tires and can get them at an excellent price. This is now my car repair place! I appreciated all the hard work for the guys working there and fixing the issue with my car. I was thinking it was transmission issues, but Ameer and Ali pointed out the actual cause of my road noise being my wheel bearings. he also pinpointed problems with how my brake rotors were installed, which I definitely did the work on it which was my mistake. Ameer is an incredible mechanic. Get his back story and you'll be amazed in hearing his know how and how he came to own the shop. I had an issue I tried to fix myself to no avail. He read the codes that were thrown and got quickly down to the root of the issue and saved me a lot of money trying to do it myself or having someone else fix the other issues. The after hours drop off and pick up is seamless and really easy, which I appreciated. They charged $300 to diagnose, which seemed high, but I didn't want to tow my car to another shop, so I accepted that. They got my car back to me five days later, and the alternator worked great but a dash light had come on for a bulb which was not burned out. I replaced the bulb but the light persisted. I asked the shop about looking at it, and I was advised well, we'll run some tests, which sounded to me like another $300 diagnosis. So, the alternator repair was good, but now I have a permanent dash light on until I can find a shop to take it to. All in all, I'd say they are an OK shop.

I considered going to the Subaru dealer in Beaverton but I gravitated to Brock Automotive because of their stellar, glowing reviews. Glad I did. First, scheduling online is easy and they text you confirmations and reminders. They also respond to texts quickly and efficiently. Note that you will likely need to drop off your vehicle as they are very busy - another good sign! - and though I needed to leave my Subaru overnight, the repairs were done in a reasonable amount of time for the services required. What I also like is their system of 'needs attention, could wait, and doesn't need work' that is color-coded on their estimate sheet by Red, Yellow, and Green; as well the costs for the repairs are clear on that sheet. You can then decide what you want done, approve it, and they will begin the work on your car. My estimate is just what I paid, so zero surprises. Immediately walking in to their shop office, I was greeted cheerily and nicely by Coy--I felt comfortable and relaxed. Picking up my car, I was greeted by an owner, who was equally as cheerful and nice. My car was waiting for me right out front when I exited the office - everything was clean just as I'd left it. Mustafa has gone above and beyond on several occasions by saving old parts so I could return or sell them, picking me up from where I was staying way out in Gaston because I otherwise couldn't get a ride to the shop for several days, and comping hours' worth of diagnostic time on a hard-to-find vacuum leak. He's always looking for a practical solution that works and saves you cash. As a petite femme my experience at the mechanic varies. Some places treat me like I'm wallpaper, not listening to a word I say. But Mustafa treats me with respect and talks to me like a human being, actually listening to the issues I'm reporting. I highly recommend this place and I know where I'll be taking future vehicles as well as sending friends!
