A quick bite while hanging out at the great mall. I like that they have several vegetarian options to choose from. I had never had this kind of food before. Its kinda like sushi which I love but more rice heavy. We got the eggplant one and it was tasty but would have liked more stuffing. It also tastes quite fishy (maybe co of the seaweed). We also got the lemonade which was really good.

So delicious food and affordable cost. Compared with many poke chains that are mostly rice plus sauce, this one has a much better topping-to-rice ratio. I'd absolutely order this again.

Salmon, tuna, crab musubis with chicken kaarage bento

Came here on a Tuesday and ordered the 3 onigilly bento (salmon, tuna, crab) with chicken kaarage. The seaweed was really chewy which made it difficult to eat the musubis and the rice they use I believe is brown medium grain rice, so the texture is not as good as white rice musubis. I did like the salmon filling (+50 cents) and the tuna and crab (+$1) were just OK. The kaarage was also just ok, not great. Edamame were delicious though.

To be honest, I'm pretty excited about all the new offerings at Great Mall lately which includes this Onigilly establishment. I first got to try Onigilly way back in the day at San Francisco and then was really excited it opened up in Valley Fair. Now we are blessed with a Great Mall location which is much closer than the other two for me. As it is relatively brand new, the store is bright and clean with pretty seamless ordering on the two kiosks located in the front of the store. The only pet peeve I can see here is that the receipt machine is shared between the two kiosks so you might have to awkwardly walk over the other machine to retrieve it. Food wise, I really think you cannot go wrong. There are various prices and various selections of Onigilly and others if you want. There is always something that will make you happy. I ordered 3 Onigilly's as a quick snack: - 2 Miso Tuna Salad - 1 Teriyaki Chicken It came out hot and I found it to be as delicious as I remembered it from the other two locations.

I was somewhat familliar with Onigilly since I tried it a few times at Westfield? I ordered: Teriyaki Mushroom Tuna Salad Everything was good, I have no complaints whatsoever. If anything, Onigilly is the healthiest food place in all of great mall. In terms of calories and price consumption. If you don't want to spend much money on food, just get one or two rice balls here. Great bargain

I wanted to grab a small snack for dinner, but for some reason I was craving the poke bowls. I really enjoy the varieties of onigiris. Custom poke bowl (5/5): I got the ginger salmon, tuna, and salmon. Not the most amazing, but really good for a onigiri place.

I had heard a lot about Onigilly and finally decided to try it since it's inside the mall. It was def worth the visit. Some of the onigiri were decent, some were good, and a few were really great. My favorites were the Spam, spicy shrimp, and spicy tuna ,those were the best in my opinion. We also tried the vegetarian options, which were okay. Other good ones were the ume salmon and snow crab. Overall, it's a nice place with tasty food and definitely worth trying if you're in the area.

Orders are taken via kiosk and you pick up the onigiris at the right side counter. Employees are nice. Prices are very reasonable, they range from $4-5 for each onigiri depending on whether you opt for a basic onigiri or a deluxe one. They also offer bowls, but I was looking for a small bite so I didn't get the chance to try one. There were so many options it was almost overwhelming but in the end we decided on the Spam Musubi and Snow Crab. The spam onigiri was underwhelming, but the snow crab was good and very flavorful. My main complaint was the rice itself being dry and almost hard. Not my favorite! Overall I kinda regretted going here over choosing something else in the mall to eat. I probably wouldn't return personally, but it's a decent option if you're considering a light, small, healthy bite.

Excited to hear Onigilly has opened up at Great Mall. Came in at Friday for lunch. Their space is large and bright for take out counter service. They are located in between Old Navy and Potato Corner. Close to Jollibee mall entrance. There are two kiosks to self order. Give menu selection. Then you pick up the other when ready. We got the spam, baked salmon, unagi (eel), salmon ponzu poke and snow crab. Loved them all.

Great snack at the mall! The onigiri is delicious and reasonably priced. I like that you can collect points and eventually get a free spam onigiri. I tried the eel and spam onigiri, which was warm, seasoned and filling. I rather get this because it is definitely a healthier snack option at the mall.

The workers were friendly and we got our order pretty quickly. We enjoyed the unagi and salmon onigiri. I used the siracha mayo with the snow crab onigiri, and it did not taste good. I couldn't finish it. It could have just been the sauce combination with that type of onigiri. I have had the snow crab there before and enjoyed it. I would still come back and try other onigiri minus the siracha mayo.

It is in the general area with Cere Tea and Koi Palace. We arrived around 6PM and were seated immediately. We came for the seafood don and both got the UME with an addition of the ochazuke set. For $26 + 4.5 for the set, I think it's really worth the price and you get a good amount of fresh fish. Each bite felt like I was transported to Japan and eating a Kaisendon. I would also be interested in coming back to try their udon as well too! The service is quick, and servers are attentive. There's not a ton of seating inside, but I like the decor! I had it in Japan and it changed my understanding of how delicious food could be. I'll always dream about a particular pasta dish I had near Kyoto Station...but I digress. If you've never had Japanese pasta, it's sort of difficult to describe. Think of Italian pasta, but if the sauce were less thick and there were a greater variety of flavors and textures. I think it's an overall cleaner and more varied experience. I prefer it. When done well, it has a certain quality that keeps you addicted. You can keep eating it and savoring every bite without feeling weighed down. I just love it. La Casa Mia does it well. In fact, out of every restaurant I've tried that attempts Japanese pasta, this place comes the closest by far. It might even match it. During my most recent visit, I tried the uni (sea urchin) pasta. Amazing. But the standout menu item, everyone, is the Salmon Shimeji. Oh, I love it so much. So savory. Little chunks of salmon, with roe, dainty little mushrooms, and all kinds of other ingredients perfectly cooked blended. A sauce that warms your soul and makes you want to keep eating. I honestly wish I could describe it better, but ironically, my favorite dish in the entire Bay Area is so good that I can't describe it. You'll just have to try it yourself. If they ever take the Salmon Shimeji off the menu, I will probably literally cry. I need this. When things in life get rough, I go for this dish. I have not found anything in the U.S. that matches it. Oh, and the service was fantastic. The lady who helped us most recently was very attentive, thanked us profusely, and was unfailingly polite. At the same time, the place is very nice here especially with the decorations they have here. I was scrolling through the menu and there was a menu item that has pork cutlet, but I have been having that type of cutlet numerous times already. So I decided to get the Salmon Shimeji instead. Next time, I'll get the other one. The food is good though. At the same time, it doesn't really surprise me since it's kinda like something you can make at home. However, the ingredients are fresh and the salmon is good. They used spaghetti pasta to make this dish and there are baby fish eggs and tall, small mushrooms called shimeji. I wasn't really too full at the end, but this is good news since I don't have to feel tired. One of the staff asked me if I can look at their desserts and I did. However, I didn't get any of them since I'm trying to cut back on my eating. This was quite the experience I have here. I saw one of the customers have one of the pizzas and am thinking of having that or the pork cutlet one. Probably should get one of the desserts next time. Until then.

I have been here about 4 times already, and I am happy to recommend this wonderful venue to other sushi lovers out there! There has been a dearth of AYCE sushi that has been the talk of locals around the San Jose/Milpitas area. Okawa Sushi fills that void. The AYCE factor really shines when you opt for their Premium Course menu. The options made available for the appetizers, signature dishes and the nigiri menu are very delicious! For an AYCE venue, the freshness of their sashimi is on point. I personally enjoy ordering their salmon nigiri, but I didn't know that their maguro nigiri would be just as buttery, soft and flavorful! I also enjoy ordering their hamachi nigiri & salmon carpaccio. I didn't know that I would enjoy appetizers in a group as well. We kept on ordering the baked muscles, kaki fry and soft shell crab! Everything you order here is appropriately smaller size than the typical American portion sizes you expect elsewhere. This way you can keep on eating and explore the menu. You can order easily off of a QR code at the table or with staff walking by. And your friends who don't like raw fish have options at this venue so they can join you as well! This place is not very busy, and while relatively new, I have seen it gradually grow in size. I would expect this place to continue growing over time. For the fast service, freshness of sushi, and expansive menu, I strongly recommend Okawa Sushi to any sushi lovers in the area! Come for lunch where the prices are a bit lower (although the price is already decent)!
