I came here once with my boo and they have the best popcorn chicken and really nice boba drinks with fresh fruit! The service is friendly and the venue is clean. It's a mom and pop kind of business and sometimes orders can feel like they take a while to receive after ordering. Usually there is only one or two people working there at a time. I've walked by during the summer months to get some popcorn chicken and drinks, but the worst is when they run out of popcorn chicken and it's not even past 2PM! My boo has also tried their "cheese foam." It was weird. Definitely an acquired taste. Five stars because I really want them to succeed and find the right proportions of chicken to keep in the freezer so they don't run out in the future. Happy shops! read more

I've been meaning to try this spot for a while and am glad I got around to it. It's a very quaint spot with a cute One Piece mural that's great for photo ops! The menu is decent and the prices aren't too bad. There's bubble tea, food, slushies, and even shaved snow, making this a pretty good spot to grab dessert. I grabbed a Brown Sugar Pearl Milk, which was decently priced for the size. I wasn't blown away by the taste but it was pretty good. I didn't like one of the topping I got, red bean popping boba. It just didn't work with the tea so I don't recommend getting it with the brown sugar. The staff was very friendly and got our order ready quickly. The shop is reopened. The shop is at the same location and renamed as "Only bear chicken and boba" The menu added some snacks such as so delicious fried chicken, fried rice cakes, and sweet potato fries and balls. I hope they can bring back the cheese slush and shaved ice with fresh fruits. Also the ice cream scoops. Those are so good especially for Summer. Who does not want slush and ice creams. A new bubble tea shop opened in the neighborhood. Ever eager to try out new things, the kids and I ventured into Cha Dao Bubble Tea in Mineola. Ambience: bright colorful seating area. The employees were very friendly and accommodating. I was hoping to find fresh grape green tea made with real grapes. I didn't see it on the menu, but showed them a picture of it and they said "no problem, we can make it for you!" Food: we ordered: Popcorn chicken - chunks of fried chicken thighs in a Taiwanese seasoned batter. I don't need to go to Flushing anymore to get my popcorn chicken fix. 5/5 Taiwanese chicken cutlet - a seasoned fried chicken cutlet. How can you go wrong? 4/5 Sweet Potato balls - I haven't seen this before. A mochi like mixture with sweet potatoes. 4/5 Fresh Grape Tea - made with fresh grapes. Nice bubble tea place on a busy road, but they do have parking in the back! Be prepared to wait a little bit if you're ordering food because there is only 1 person working. I ordered the taro milk tea w/boba and popcorn chicken. Taro milk tea was delicious and the boba had a nice chewy but soft texture. I actually like them more than the Kung Fu tea or Gong Cha nearby! The popcorn chicken was very flavorful and just what I had expected/wanted! They also have plum sweet potato fries and homemade taiwanese sausage as well as shaved ice at a decent price. Mineola isn't the place you think of when you think about boba but this place popped up so I decided to give it a shot. The place has some seats and has anime inspired decor. The menu is full of your typical fruit and milk tea variations as well as some Taiwanese snacks like popcorn chicken. Tried their cha dao fruit tea which was pretty good. The tea was strong but they cut up bits of fresh fruit (apples, watermelon etc.) to mix with the tea, nice and refreshing. The kids got milk tea and for them it was pretty standard, nothing remarkable but no complaints either. Prices are about what you expect. The snow ice here hit the spot. I had the mango snow ice. It comes with fresh mangos, popping boba, and some sort of mango jam. I also added on pudding which elevated it to the next level. Highly recommend adding pudding to any order. The snow ice itself is super fluffy and a creamy mango flavor. Nothing tasted watered down after the ice melted. Stay away from the Jericho Tpk traffic and park just off Willis in the back of the building. The prices are super reasonable for the freshness of the ingredients. The tapioca is never hard in the center like most bubbletea spots (even the large chain ones) and the drinks always tastes amazing. I love their extensive menu that includes the cheese foam drinks. Sometimes there can be a little wait since it's usually one person working when I go but the employee is very nice and apologetic. There are some tables that you can sit and enjoy. Tentative 4 stars because I hope they do well. Their teas are fantastic and flavorful and not just with sugar. Which I really appreciate. My kids absolutely love the other bubble tea place that stars with a K. They enjoyed their drinks here but all of us agreed, the boba was not fresh. I have to assume it's because of not much foot traffic yet. They are not as busy as our regular place. However that excuse is not going to fly for too long. They have to figure out how to keep the boba warm and not let it get hardened. That or they need to cook it longer? Not sure. My daughter had a Strawberry Milk Tea Drizzles which she loved. My son had the Milk Tea with Boba, he said the tea was great but the boba a little hardened in the middle. Not as much fun as his usual place. However he did say the tea itself was very good. I had the Rose Bubble Green Milk Tea, it was absolutely delicious, I told them no added sugar just from the Boba was fine and it was perfect for me. Still plenty sweet enough. The Boba were in fact a slight bit hardened in the middle. However still enjoyable. It's hard to compare when another place not too far does the boba so perfect every time. I also purchased the popcorn chicken to try it and it was good. 2 of the pieces I tried had tendons in it so that was a little off putting but otherwise they were tasty and crispy. Great Taiwanese style bubble tea joint! They have milk foam toppings, yogurt based drinks and many options overall. The best thing in the store so far has been the Taiwanese style popcorn chicken, complete with little bits of fried basil. They just opened recently, its a very cute place, still have some stuff to do since there were some boxes in the back laying around. We ordered taro slush and mango slush, the taro was good, I've had better, but the cup/packaging is adorable. The mango slush was the best one, had pieces of mango and milk. I'm not kidding when I say this: kiwi green tea is probably one of my favorite drinks ever! It's crisp, refreshing, fruity, and not too sweet, just the way I like it!
